Dean's POV
"What do you mean someone bought all the available stock in JG Industries? Who bought it? Find out! Now! Do not just stand there like a bloody statue!" I shout.
"Sir, I already know who bought it. Bell Enterprises bought all of JG Industries' available stock, and they are helping them get to the top." Benny says. I can see he is afraid to tell me that.
"Who the f**k is the CEO of Bell Enterprises? They either know me or have a spy in our company. They are always one step ahead of me! It feels like the CEO of Bell Enterprises has a vendetta against me! We know it is a woman. We know she's young. I never realized I did anyone wrong. Hannah keeps telling people that I am a womanizer who likes pretty, young things. I never had any affairs with younger women! Maybe I turned her down, and now she is angry with me. If there is one person who hates me the most in the world, it should be Valerie Morris. She is the only one I cannot blame for hating me." I say.
Benny says nothing. I know exactly what he is thinking. He knows that there are a lot of women who hate me because I turned them down. Besides, most of them were only after my money. Many of the younger women saw me as an easy target. They thought they could get into my bed and make me marry them. They don't know what I went through with Hannah, and I was careful to sleep with anyone after her. I did not want to fall into the same trap Hannah set for me.
"I will see if I can find out anything about Miss Valerie Moore. Mrs. Stark is here to see you. She has been waiting for a long time, and I think you should see her. She seemed upset about something." Benny says.
"That woman is always upset about something. I do not care what she wants. Just keep her out of my hair. I'm so tired of fighting her and my son's battles." I say.
"She said she would not go unless you talked to her, even if she had to sit here all day and night. She says it is something to do with your son and his wife." Benny says.
I sigh. What is it this time?
"Let her come in so that I can get this over with. You know, she's always looking for an excuse to see me. It pisses me off. How long has it been more than twenty-five years? Is she never going to leave me alone?" I say.
Benny shakes his head as he walks away. He knows exactly what I'm going through. He cannot blame me for hating Hannah. Even Benny is tired of her every time he sees her. I can see the look on his face. Benny looks at her with disgust on his face. I cannot blame him because Hannah is a woman who has no values. She has no self-respect. For years, she had been running after me. It irritates me and everybody around me because we do not have time to waste on her.
"Dean, honey, you have to talk to your son. He has gone crazy. He wants to leave Belinda because he thinks he is still in love with Valerie, that w***e of a woman we saw at the restaurant the other night. I know she slept with you because I can see she couldn't take her eyes off you. What did you do to get rid of her back then? Please tell me you didn't take her to your bed." Hannah says.
"What I am doing in my private life has nothing to do with you. I told you before that you must keep your nose out of my business. You have to stop acting like you have a say in my life. You are only my ex-wife. To me, you are nothing more, and you are nothing less. We are not even friends. I will take care of Oliver. Do not worry about him. He will not touch Valerie. It is time for him to grow up. He cannot get everything that he wants. It is your fault that our son is too much of a weakling to fight his own battles. He knew he could always run to Mommy, and Mommy would tell Daddy to fix his problems. Valerie is too much of a woman for him. He will not be able to handle her. Belinda is nothing but a slut, who uses our son for his money. He wanted Belinda, so he threw away Valerie. I do not feel sorry for him. This time, your son is not going to get what he wants. Do not worry. I will not allow him to divorce Belinda." I say.
I can see Hannah does not appreciate what I'm saying. I know she's having second thoughts about allowing her son to get a divorce and marry Valerie. However, I do not believe Valerie is interested in him anymore.
"Why are you so concerned about Valerie? You did sleep with her, didn't you? Maybe I will allow Oliver to go after her after all." Hannah says.
I laugh because I know it will not be that easy.
"You forgot about one thing. She is engaged to another man. Go home. I had enough of you for one day. As I said, do not interfere in my life. It is enough that you are already running our son's life. You can only mess up one person at a time. Why don't you start dating? Perhaps it will keep you busy, or you should get a job. I am tired of letting you leech off me." I say.
I can't see the shock on her face. She never expected I would cut her off. However, I do not want her to stop me from pursuing Valerie.
