The minute I walk down the plane’s stairs, memories hit me like a freight train. It’s been so long since I’ve been here and I have to say that I’ve missed it. “Man, it’s so chilly out here.”
I chuckle at Mia. I guess I should have warned her that you always want to have a jacket with you just in case. It can be pretty cool out here because there’s so much water around. I have missed this city so much. I’ve been worldwide, and I swear nothing compared to San Francisco.
As we walk to the limo, I notice two men standing by the open door. They are massive men in height and mass. They have bulging muscles peaking from their t-shirts and peaking through the folds of their jeans. They are wearing all black with earpieces and oversized sunglasses. I don’t know what Steven expects to happen while I’m out here, but this seems to be a bit excessive.
“Ms. Neela? Hello! Welcome back home.” I see a man with a huge sign in his hands. The sign has my name and Nokio’s in the lower corner. He sent someone to greet me, and that’s really sweet. I haven’t actually met him yet, but we are supposed to have a private dinner tomorrow night.
“Thank you so much. I’m so glad to be here.” The man nods and starts to talk with Mia while we walk to the limo. I walk up to the men who don’t flinch or acknowledge me in any way. I didn’t expect much, but I guess it’s surprising nonetheless. I get in the limo and wait for everyone else. They rented a Hummer limo since there are so many of us riding.
I close my eyes, and memories flash through, plunging me into a myriad of emotions. The one that sticks is utter sadness. It’s easier to keep my sadness locked away when I’m not in the place where this all started. I close my eyes tighter, trying to keep the pain from setting up shop in my chest. A hand lands on my leg, and I open my eyes to many sets of eyes on me. “Neela, love, are you okay?” I muster everything I have in me and smile at Mia.
“I’m great, Mimi. I’m just a bit tired. I can’t wait to get to the hotel and rest.”
“Uh, actually, you won’t be staying in a hotel?” I look at the man, confused.
“Yeah, Mr. Mercer was just telling me that Nokio wants this to be an intimate affair. He has found a luxury, three-level penthouse that you will be staying in with him. You and your people will have one floor, he and his will have another, and we will be shooting, conducting business, and gathering on the ground floor. He really wants to get to know you and make this event his best ever.” Whoa! Total and direct access to Nokio….. that’s amazing. I feel honored to have this opportunity and need to focus on that to get through this trip.

“Mmmmmm……mmmmmmmm,” I push her head down, causing my member to be shoved down her throat.
“I don’t want to hear anything but slurping sounds. This isn’t about you; it’s about me.” She’s struggling to breathe, and I can feel a smile spread across my face. I let her head go, and she looks up at me. “Continue……”
The slurping sounds start again, and I lean back to enjoy it. I have to say that Lina was a good hire. I never mentioned the possibility of extras tied to the job, but she’s taken to it like a pro. My hip starts to vibrate, and I close my eyes in an attempt to focus on the pleasure coming from between my legs.
The vibrating stops, and I settle back to enjoy the sensation. My hip vibrates again, killing the mood altogether. I open my eyes and sit up with a huff. I pull my phone out of my pocket and check the caller’s id. I’m surprised about this call, but I guess I’ll take it anyway. “What?”
“Seriously?! She’s here in San Francisco? Wasn’t that the arrangement? Wasn’t the deal that she wouldn’t be back here?” S**t, I really don’t have time for this.
“ENOUGH!” Lina stops moving and holds her head up so only my tip is in. I know I didn’t tell her to stop, so I buck my hips up while holding the back of her neck. I let go, and she continues her job. “Who the hell do you think you are calling me about this? So she’s in San Francisco….. it’s been years. It shouldn’t matter that she’s there, and you shouldn’t have thought she’d never ever be back. That’s just naive.” I can hear heavy breathing on the line. “What’s the big deal about her being there anyway? It isn’t like he’s available anymore, right?” Silence engulfs us, and my eyes get big.
“I…..I………”
“Are you telling me that you still haven’t put a claim on him?” Silence greets me in response. I throw my head back and laugh. “You’re pathetic, aren’t you?” I clear my throat. “I will be in town in a few hours. We will meet and resolve this issue.” I disconnect the call and focus on what’s being done to me. I need a clear head when I get to San Francisco. It seems I have more work to do than I initially thought.

The phone rings for the 5th time without a response, and I’m getting frustrated. I didn’t want to tell him the news, but I had to. I couldn’t afford him to run into her without warning. I had to make sure I could get in front of this.
I hate this! I hate that he’s still so hung up on her. She left San Francisco. She walked out of this city, out of his life, and away from their child without so much as a word. She abandoned those she said that she loved, and he won’t let her go. What more does she have to do before he realizes that she’s not worth his time or love?
I hit redial on the phone and wait for the ring. It rings once and then goes to voicemail. Okay, I get the message loud and clear. Evan will not answer the phone at all, and I need to stop calling. I hate it when he gets like this because I have no idea what will make him come up for air. I just need to figure out how to keep them away from each other and get her through this job as quickly as possible. As a fashion producer, I should be able to create an atmosphere that makes the work lightning-fast. The sooner she leaves the state, the better for me.
