The sun came up from behind the horizon once again just like every other day without any fail and woke the entire land of Euthymia from a peaceful sleep which might be the last one they were going to have.
The fog which was covering the whole land until now has lifted in no time as soon as the first ray of the morning sun kissed the ground of Euthymia, revealing another kind of mesmerising sight. But today the surrounding which is usually filled with the melodious sounds of birds chirping all together, the murmuring sounds of the trees the sound of the waterfall along with the soothing morning breeze, the noises of the people happily chatting with each other, and everything else remained absolutely quiet as if a sudden tranquillity had enveloped the whole area due to some kind of grief which was yet to face.
Even so, nothing could stop those two innocent hearts to rejoice and play happily with each other, caring least about all those little signs which were trying to tell about what grave danger was coming down to them in any time soon.
Unaware of the cruel act of fate, little Oliver kept running in the woods with a lot of joy and excitement as ever that even the uneven roads full of rocks in the middle of the forest, the roots of the trees that were spread all over the ground aimlessly, the bushes and all, nothing...nothing could make that energetic little fun-loving boy stop from going far and far into the woods. As the only thing this little boy wanted was to play with her dear sister just as she had once promised. In no time, his soft giggles filled the air, which was enough to leave a trail for his sister Aurelia to find out this naughty little kid, no matter how hard he tried to hide himself into the densest part of the forest.
"Oli, do not go that far. Come back." Aurelia shouted from behind while she kept going deep into the woods as well behind Oliver, so that she could watch her brother from a close distance, in case this fearless little fellow meets with some kind of danger due to his over-excitement at the very early hours of the morning.
"No, Sis Eli. You have to come and find me. But, you can never catch me, sis Eli." Oliver replied as loudly as he could while he did not bother to stop having his little fun by making his sis Eli worried like a hell as he kept on running even faster than before with his little clumsy steps.
It was not that Oliver was doing this kind of thing for the first time, as Aurelia knew how much her little brother likes to play hide and seek with her as well, but today was not like any other day they have ever spend playing like this before, cause today was indeed somehow different even when no one knew why.
For some unknown reason, Aurelia stopped at once and it seemed that something made her turn only go look back at the path that they have already come across.
But she could see nothing as each and everything was lying exactly same as before. It did not take much time for Aurelia to realise that today they have really come so far from their home as she could see nothing but the trees all around the place.
In an instant, as if something changed...as if Aurelia sensed something weird which was enough to make her uneasy for some strange reason. At that moment, it was only her intuition that had started screaming loudly all of a sudden telling her that she needs to go back to her people as soon as possible without any delay.
As if, the worst thing was going to happen and she should not have abandoned their home at the very first place.
Yes, Aurelia felt all this in that little span of time which was enough to raise an immense storm in her heart giving her no clue how to prevent such disaster from coming down to her people.
Even after feeling the sudden danger, the only thing she could not realise was what exactly was coming for them from which she needed to save her land as well as her people.
"Oli, come back. Quickly. We need to go back. Now." She screamed as loudly as she could with all her might that even her voice shook with so much anxiety and fear of losing her close ones. Her screams echoed through the entire forest, announcing the urgency she was feeling right now. But, her efforts were all in vain as her little brother Oliver was young enough to understand the sudden threat and dangers which was coming all clear to Aurelia now, bit by bit.
"Come on, sis Eli. Find me." Little Oliver denied to listen to her sister and he replied with his loud voice but it appeared as a faint and low voice to Aurelia, declaring the fact that Oliver went too far into the woods already and was still running further into the forest, while she was busy to recollect herself from the horrible vision she just had.
In this kind of situation, Aurelia could not decide where to go first.
Whether she should go look for her brother whom she can never afford to lose anyhow, or to her people whom she should never leave alone to fight and die mercilessly, no matter what.
It was indeed a difficult time for that girl and the pathetic thing was she needed to choose and that too among those whom she always prioritised over anything.
In no time, Oliver's voice vanished into the thin air, causing Aurelia to get frightened imagining that something bad might have happened to her brother as well.
She did not know whom she should save.
She was ready to keep her own life at stake if needed but she was not at all ready to lose any of those whom she always used to cherish with all her life.
So, right at this moment, the best thing that Aurelia could do was to run behind her brother as fast as she could without wasting any further time, or else time might run out of her hand, which she was not at all willing to accept at any cost.
And that was what she did.
She started running, forgetting about everything else, even about breathing.
Holding onto the last breath, Aurelia kept on running only to go further into the dense forest to find Oliver out, so that she could take him to a safer place, but it seemed that the time was even started to betray her at such a crucial moment.
Without much of her awareness, the lone tear rolled down her eyes but she had no time to wipe her cheeks for herself.
"Oli. Oliver. Come out. I am begging you." She started shouting by his name, when running seemed of no use for her now.
Aurelia knew that it was already late now.
But still, she was determined to save all of them at any cost, but little did she knew that she has to pay a great price in the coming time.
Even after screaming for a long time, there was no trace of that little boy Oliver now, as the forest seemed as silent as a corp and empty, which caused Aurelia to lose her mind completely.
Even so, Aurelia was not someone to lose hope that easily, as she gathered up all her strength and powers with all her might and knowledge, creating an enormous sphere of some strange haze and inexplicable energies around her in no time.
It seemed that some kind of lightning had started to emit from the fingertips of both of her hands ever so strangely, while her eyes started to flicker between the darkest shade of her actual colour as if she was already on her way of creating another kind of massive storm with her powers that no one had ever seen before.
Her hair started glowing as white as snow without much of her own realisation at this moment as if stars have come down to the earth, radiating the eye-dazzling light which was more than enough to brighten the entire woods even when the place always remained dark with the lack of sunlight.
The whole sight which Aurelia had created die to the utmost anxiety, fear and rage was indeed something which was beyond anyone's explanation.
In the next moment, all the energies along with the lightning which was coming from the huge sphere created by Aurelia unfurled and went to each and every single corner of the woods leaving no spot untouched, and then vanished into the thin air as strangely as they once appeared.
In an instant, Aurelia fell down on the ground on her knees just before she came back to her previous self from whatever she became just a while ago.
No, nothing changed.
Even after Aurelia used all her powers to find her brother out, nothing worked.
As if, Oliver was never there.
As if her brother vanished into the thin air all of a sudden without a clue.
But where could he go?
Aurelia had no idea either.
She kept kneeling on the ground helplessly with the immense grief of not being able to find her dear brother even after using all her powers that she slowly started to feel that she was nothing but a great failure as she failed to protect her own brother what if she was meant to become the greatest witch of the world one day.
Tears did not stop rolling down from her eyes just with the thought of her brother, soaking her cheeks without any mercy.
At this moment, even before Aurelia could get enough time to get herself together from the grief of losing her dear brother in the middle of the woods, the earth-shattering, bone-chilling, and absolutely horrifying screams of the Euthymian people fell on her ears all of a sudden, which came from the very same direction she left behind some time ago, piercing the heavy air all the way through.
Yes, it was her home too, and they were her people.
And their screams were like fuel to the rage of this mysterious which of the land named Aurelia who became absolutely furious and was ready to take down anyone and everyone using all her powers that she was blessed with, no matter if she had to walk to the end for that, she was ready to do so, as now there was nothing left for her which could hold her back from doing whatever she wished.
Cause, for her, Oliver was no more or her it was like her powers indicated so.
And now, it was time to save her people.
Aurelia stood up from the ground without wasting any more time, just when the ground underneath her feet trembled, causing Aurelia to fall back on her knees once again.
Ferocious roars of some kind of beast came from that direction which was enough to get anyone terrified as hell, but it did not work the same for Aurelia now.
Yes, she was startled and shocked for sure but she was not at all afraid, as now she had the entire land of Euthymia to save from that beast, at least that was what she thought.
Aurelia stood up once again, ignoring everything that was trying to stop her to go back, but something else made her froze all of a sudden.
Even when she was still within the woods, she clearly felt a great storm which was rushing towards her ever so strangely, was indeed immense and powerful that it was even making the whole forest hard to stand still as trees were already swaying its branches aimlessly without being able to control the wind that the storm was creating.
But little did Aurelia know that it was no storm, but something else.
Something, that she never expected to meet with for the second time in her entire life.
Yes, it was nothing but a dragon and most importantly it was no one but Egan, the sole living dragon in the entire world, the dragon of the Prince of the dragonborns, the Dragon of the King of the savages, Draco.
But only if she knew that they were not unknown to her.
In no time, without giving much time to Aurelia to run out of the woods, something enormous covered the entire place, dragging the entire surrounding to fall into absolute darkness without a single trace of light.
A huge black shadow it was.
But even after watching this inexplicable appearance, Aurelia was not at all afraid as she tried her best to find her way out of the woods as fast as she could using her powers to bring the least amount of light, brightening the place a bit but enough for her to look for her way.
She kept running back with no intention to stop until or unless she gets to her people, but she also knew very well that she was not going ahead all alone cause the shadow which was covering the place a while ago was now moving along with her.
Even though Aurelia had no idea what it was, she cared the least and kept running only to get out of the woods at last from where all the homes were becoming a bit visible to her eyes.
But...
But Aurelia could not recognise her home anymore.
The sight before her eyes made her halt all of a sudden, as if she came to a foreign land all of a sudden that she could not even believe herself. Her land which was once full of colours were now lying still and all in grey and black. The sky from where soft white snowflakes used to fall upon them to make their life joyful was now showering ashes without any mercy.
No, she could not see any familiar faces from that distance. All she could find was innumerable corps were lying here and there, with no one to care.
Seeing such a horrible sight before her eyes, Aurelia's eyes started to become blur without any of her awareness, just when a huge black mountain came down before her, covering her sight completely.
She could not scream, neither she could move.
The only thing she could do was to close her eyes, just before her limp body fell on the ground, saving her at last from witnessing her dear ones in such horrible conditions.
No, she did not die.
She was never meant to die that easily, cause it was her fate to witness more of this horrible reality.
Yes,
It was not the end, but the beginning of whatever the mysterious witch Aurelia was going to experience in coming time.
