I let out a ground-shaking roar and bolted for Anna. Erik's head snapped in my direction and I wondered if he could see the fire burning in my eyes.
"If he can't now, he will soon," Maverick growled.
He was our Beta, he took an oath to protect our people and he was obviously failing miserably at that, standing casually on the dock with a bottle of liquor in hand while Anna was running further out on the ice, away from him and his goons.
