When I returned, it was later in the day, and upon entering the house, I could hear loud voices coming from further inside. I looked around, perplexed, unsure why it sounded like a dinner party was being thrown.
Proceeding further into the house and down a long hallway, I arrived at the dining room. Inside, I found Lara, her family, James, and Cecilia. One of Lara’s brothers was sitting too close to her, in my opinion, chatting with her with a smile on his lips that I didn’t care for. A small growl escaped me, drawing everyone's attention.
"Ah, there you are, Lucian!" Lara exclaimed. "Want to join us?"
I hesitated. After today, I probably should just relax a bit and try to clear my mind. I had left the house with Evan and Maddy, returning to the castle but not staying long.
