Chapter 13 Old Friend Meets Once Again

I walk towards Siana and stay by her side, I held her waist and Siana gaze at me with her eyes full of adoration.

“You’re beautiful Mia,” Siana said sweetly

We both look at the mirror and look at ourselves, we are both stunning in our dresses.

“I’m excited in our birthday grand ball,” Siana said as she clasps both of her hand

“Sure you are” I tease

“you’re going to see your Prince on that night that’s why” I added

“Stop it, Mia,” Siana blushing

I laugh, that kind of laugh that emits happiness; seeing Siana admiring a man and her acting that way makes my heart flutter.

“Let’s change and show these dress to our mother, she will surely be happy to see our dresses” Siana hurries me

“Siana I don’t get the reason we came all along here let Lady Jones tailored our dresses while we have our skilled sewers and dressmakers in the Palace.” I’m curious.

“Oh’ is that Lady Jones is referred to me by one of the patients in the medical service that I and our mother Queen attend to. She told me I should come here and let her tailored our dresses. She is talented and skilled.” Siana smile widely

“I see, we came for her referral, she must be someone you value dearly” I continue

I know Siana well, her heart is soft and she easily gives in with people around her asking for favor and help.

“Oh’ she is Lady Annie a friend of Lady Jones, they are long time friends who haven’t seen each other cause she is sick. Lady Annie said her friend is a skilled tailored and if I come and let her made our dresses. I might say “hello” for her.” Siana casually explaining.

“Oh’ so you’re a messenger now” I tease her

“more likely I wanted Lady Jones to come with us and visit her friend Lady Annie” Siana honestly said

“Say what?” I’m startled

“Mia, please help me convince Lady Jones to come with us. Lady Annie misses her, she wanted to see her friend” Siana pleaded

“I can’t believe you're for real Siana,” I said in an irritated tone

“Mia, it’s good to hit two birds in one stone. Our dresses are done beautifully though” Siana whispering to me

I gasp as I pass through her and decide to change my clothes; one thing about Siana that always leaves me breathless, she is selfless.

Siana helps people without holding back and thinking it will take her own time away.

I feel sometimes that Siana's attitude can be taken advantage of by people who pretend they are weak and needed help when they aren’t.

Siana defenses are down and weak, people can attack her soft heart at any time and I will not stand here and watch it happens.

Siana is changing her clothes in the fitting room when I walk in the house; it is small, my room is much bigger, way bigger.

Lady Jones sewing fabric in her hand as she sits in her rocking chair, she immediately stands up and bows to me as she sees me.

I stand in front of her and wait for her to look at me,

“Is there anything I can serve you, Princess Mia?” Lady Jones respectfully asks

“Did you know a Lady named Annie?” I can’t help but asks

Lady Jone's eyes glitter with emotions, her eyes wet in tears.

“Yes, my Princess, she is a close friend of mine. What happens to her Princess? I heard she is sick and ill. I don’t have any news from her than form the letters she writes me last time, she doesn’t write back in the last letter I sent.” Lady Jones tears are almost falling

I sense Siana is at my back, I look to her, she walks gracefully and stops by my side

“Lady Jones you’re friend is fine but would you come with us. Lady Annie is very sick that she couldn’t write you letters anymore,” Siana said as she held Lady Jone's hand.

“Yes, Princess, I will come.” Lady Jones answers without hesitation.

“I will change dress so I can come” she is rushing as she bows and gone to change.

“I can’t believe she quickly agrees to come” I'm talking to myself internally

Siana is delighted, I’m silent, somehow deep inside me “that true friends are” but I and Siana grew up together.

Since we're young it’s the two of us; playmates, classmates, we study and play together, go outside and come back to the palace together.

I wonder if we could ever make a friend like Lady Jones to Lady Annie.

I remember the Lady who help me in the other World; Atracia City: Miss Cheska, I clenched my fist for thinking I treat her as my friend for being kind to me but she is flirting to my “so-called Uncle” Ruininki”; my view about “friendship” is not like it was before.

The difference between me and Siana, I can meet people outside the Palace that show me kindness and in flip seconds can show me their real colors.

Siana meets people outside the Palace, the underprivileged yet I can’t tell if she can choose her people wisely and can read people well.

My mind is in deep thoughts as Lady Jones comes out and says she is ready to leave.

Siana held Lady Jone's hand as the Lady resist to behold by Siana for she is shy but Siana insists.

I go out first, Helene and Master Arruis are conversing when I notice Master Arruis showing something to Helene, it seems like some kind of jewelry.

I squinted my eyes to see clearly but Siana’s and Lady Jone's steps are heard, Master Arruis quickly hide the jewelry and stand prominently and so is Helene.

“Welcome back Princess Mia” Helene smile at me and Master Arruis held my hand as I step in the carriage and sit while I observe them.

Siana smiles as she reaches Helene and Master Arruis which makes Helene's smile too

“This is Lady Jones, she is traveling with us. We will take her to the village, to the house of Lady Annie; she is her friend” Siana explains

“Lady Jones, they are Helene and Master Arruis” Siana introduce

Lady Jones smile as she bows “I’m glad to meet you

“We are glad to meet you,” Helene said in a sweet voice

“So I’ am Lady Jones” Master Arruis voice is booming

I watch as they smile and introduce themselves to each other, I will start to yawn once again when I sense an energy that is familiar to me.

I can see my energy color is a radiant vibrant blue, I open the window and in the woods, standing next to a big tree, wearing his capes, I knew very well; He is Ruininki. I smile.

“Mia” I heard Siana calls me

“Close the window, we will be going” she suggests as she sits.

“I like that it is open, the wind I love to feel it,” I said still looking in the spot where Ruininki stands

“Okay, the wind is cold though” Siana complains

“but okay” Siana held her cape over her shoulders,

The carriage move but I keep looking at the window,

“Siana, aren’t you going to sit properly?” Siana asks

“Oh’ I wanted to look at the scenery,” I say as I continue looking out the window.

I notice Ruininki silhouette following us, the carousel is moving not so fast nor slow but Ruininki's footsteps can keep up.

The carriage enters the village and the most awaited meetings of Lady Jones and Lady Anne are anticipated by Siana the most.

Siana might felt she done her mission as the Lady meets each other once again but my attention wasn’t even there.

Ruininki following our carriage and he hides somewhere as we reach the Village.

I can’t risk being careless especially Helene and Master Arruis is with us, they will never let me be out of their sight.

I sigh, thinking about how can I escape and meet Ruininki and talk for a while.

Lady Jones is fidgeting, she is excited and nervous at the same time meeting her friend once again.

They are going inside the house, I look around and hear Helene’s voice

“Princess Mia let’s go inside” She persuade me

“The house is small it doesn’t fit all of us and Lady Annie is sick. I might get sick too” I blurted out which makes Siana look at me in surprise.

“Mia,” Siana's voice is soft yet hinting something that I should stop or be careful in my words.

The thing is I don’t regret what I say, I’m stating facts.

Sick people can also make well people catch the sickness.

I sigh and goes inside the house, I can’t escape Helene’s tight guard anyways.

We are inside and Siana calling “Lady Annie”, Siana’s voice echoes

Siana lead the way she said to Lady Jones to wait for she wanted to surprise her,

I stand at the back of Lady Jones while Helene’s guarding me, she is by my side.

Master Arruis is outside, guarding all of us.

We are startled as Siana’s scream, my heart thumps so fast,

I quickly pass through Lady Jones and check what is going on,

I gasp in what I see, my eyes widen, the whole place is a mess.

Lady Annie seems not with herself, she is throwing things towards Siana.

Siana keep on calming Lady Annie, keep calling her name

“Calm down Lady Annie, It’s me, Princess Siana, what happens to you?” Siana’s almost crying.

I make a few steps closer to Lady Annie so I can protect Siana from her, 

Lady Annie's eyes are pure black, she has this unbelievable strength, she keeps throwing things to both of us even the heavy ones that can never be carry by a sick person like her.

Lady Annie's skin color becomes gray and her veins are seen, she is making a roar that a normal human can’t do.

“Lady Annie” Siana keeps on crying.

I held my dagger tightly, I can’t see the Lady Annie that Siana keeps calling, I can only see is a dangerous, scary creature.

Lady Jones intervene and pass through both of us, I try to grab her but she is quick,

Lady Annie grabs a big vase about to throw at us, I didn’t close my eyes,

I will stab her if I have to but Lady Jones instantly hugs her and its freezes Lady Annie in instant,

“Annie,” Lady Jones said in between hugs, she is sobbing.

‘Annie what is happening to you that is not you, please come back” Lady Jones weeping as she talks

I fear for Lady Jone's life, her friend can hurt her any time but she remains to hug her.

I see the raging dark energy from Lady Annie but slowly the dark color fading.

Lady Jones keeps on crying, I notice Master Arruis is there and he held his sword, ready for whatever might happen.

Helene is with Siana while she keeps on crying as she watches the unexpected scenes.

As I look again, Lady Annie's eye color is changing to normal.

The big vase she holds might fall to both of them, I try to make a move but Master Arruis stops me,

Master Arruis moves slowly, passes through me, and goes to the back of Lady Annie who is slowly changing her energy from dark to normal.

Master Arruis held the vase both of his arms and when Lady Annie let go of the vase, her hands fall and she loose consciousness.

Lady Annie becomes weak as her energy back into normal as she faints.

Lady Jones feels her friend's body gets heavy, Siana quickly helps Lady Jones to assist Lady Annie.

I look at my energy, it’s radiating vibrant blue. I fear I can’t touch her.

Siana whispers to me as she held Lady Annie “don’t worry I got this” she said as Helene clear the bed so they can lay her to rest.
