Chapter 9

Jenna’s POV

Upon entering my house I immediately started packing my stuff, and I eventually went to bed at midnight.

I woke up and sat in the living room waiting for Adrien's guards to help me move. I also did not forget to take pictures of the house and its rooms so that I could put it up for sale on a website. The thought of the price I was about to sell the house for made me more happy.

In no time Adrien's guards arrived and helped me pack my stuff into the car before they drove off to Adrien's house.

And as expected he had a house in Royalville, it was very difficult to rent a property there and even more difficult to own one, but of course not for Adrien.

After the brief security check, we arrived at his house, a two-story mansion that was surrounded by forest trees, his compound was very beautiful and peaceful, it gave one an earthy feeling, his house even had an artificial mountain a couple miles behind it, and I could not ignore the beautiful fountain that was in the middle of his compound.

In my past life when I lived in the hidden valley, I never got to enjoy my environment as it was literally like a base and not a home, the walls were metal and there was a lock that could only open with facial recognition in every room, the fact that ninety-nine percent of its residents were male except for the servants.

And Adlers mansion did not have much greens, but Adriens mansion was just right.

With the help of the guards, I moved my things into the house.

With them walking behind me, carrying my stuff, I decided to lead the way and look for a room that suited my taste.

“Miss, Mr Lockwood has already pointed out the room you would be staying in” one of the guards behind me spoke up as he held my stuff in his hands.

“What if it is not to my liking, I would prefer to choose my room, okay?” I said with a kind smile, but there was no room for objection in my voice, I was just used to getting what I wanted.

I walked upstairs like this was not the first thing I was in Adriens home with his guards following my every movement.

I opened every door that looked like it led to a room and was very pleased when I was informed that the house had two studies, meaning that I could take one for myself. Adrien could not refuse my request anyway, I was his grandmas, lifesaving grace.

After going through different rooms I finally entered one that met my standards ignoring the pleas of Adrien's guards not to enter.

“Oh please what is so special about this room” I said as I opened the door and walked in.

The walls were dark blue, and it had a huge queen-sized bed in the middle, the furniture was black.

“This is perfect, but why does it look like someone already stays here” I asked as I looked around excitedly.

“That is what we were trying to tell you, madam, this is Master Lockwood's room,” one of them said and my eyes opened wide like saucers.

“Why did you not tell me?”I asked as I immediately tried to make my way out.

“We really tried to..” the other said but was cut off at the sight of Adrien.

‘Oh no, I am done for’ I thought, how could I be so stupid, I should have just let them take me to the room Adrien picked out for me.

“Adrien, hi” I laughed nervously as he looked at me with a deadly glare while signaling for his guards to leave which they did.

Alarm bells began to ring in my head, what was he going to do, anyways I was not going down without a fight.

“What are you doing here?” he asked as he walked closer and I walked backward.

“I did not know that this was your room” I explained.

“What happened to the one I picked out for you?” he asked.

“This one is better” I chuckled nervously.

“Oh you think so?” he asked as he stood directly in front of me, his breath fanning my face.

“Uhm” I did not know what to say.

“Okay, you can have it then,” he said while shrugging his shoulders with an evil smirk.

“Really?” I asked with an excited smile on my face.

“Of course, we are married anyways, there is no harm in a couple sleeping in the same room, on the same bread,” he said with that same evil smirk and I almost went crazy.

I knew it was too good to be through, how could Adrien just easily give something of his house without a price, then I was drawn back to the fact that he was probably flirting with me.

Was that flirting, I was not quite familiar with how couples interact, one could say I had a low EQ in that aspect.

“Dont worry, I will just manage the room you picked out” I laughed nervously while literally running out of his room, not forgetting to drag my two big heavy bags filled with my stuff to the room he initially picked, failing to think about the fact that it was right next to his room, but that was a problem for later.

After dropping my bags, I plopped on my queen-sized bed with a sigh.

After a few minutes, I stood up and walked to my walk-in closet just to visualize how I would arrange my clothes and I was in for a surprise when I opened it, the closet was already filled with different types of designer clothes and they were already arranged neatly, there was still space for my belongings.

“Did a woman live here previously?” I asked myself as I went through the clothes just to realize that they were my size, plus they were still brand new, he obviously just bought them for me, he was not only quick in doing so, but he also got my perfect size correctly, I was impressed and filled with joy. I was pulled out of my shock by the sudden knock on my door.

I walked over and opened it just to see that it was Adrien, all dressed up and ready to go to work.

“Get ready, I will be taking you to your new entertainment agency, I give you just forty minutes, waste my time and I will leave you behind,” he said and walked away without waiting for my reply.

“Thank you!” I shouted at his back, before rushing back in, it would be really tragic if he actually left me behind.

I decided to go with a business casual outfit, and of course, I had to put on the designer wear he bought for me.

So I wore a really nice boyfriend jeans, a dark green camisole, and paired it with a mustard yellow blazer, yellow heels, and a dark green Prada bag.

In exactly thirty minutes I was ready and met Adrien waiting in his car, looking at his watch with an annoyed look. The day he would decide to smile, I would change my name.

“I am here,” I said as I walked over majestically and entered the other side of his car as if I owned it.

“You can go,” he said to his driver.

“Thanks for the clothes by the way” I thanked again while rolling my eyes since he refused to listen the first time.

“It looks good on you,” he said in a barely audible voice and I could not believe my ears so I just had to ask again.

“What?” I asked,

“I said, why did you take so long to get ready” he lied.

“That is not what you said” I laughed while giving him a teasing look causing his lips to twitch. It was actually fun pocking at Mr. Lockwood's battery, especially now that I knew he would not do anything to harm me, but I could not trust him all the way yet, I had to keep my guard up so that I would not end up the way I did in my past life.

We arrived at Denver Entertainment agency, the second-best agency in the world, the first was of course the Lockwood Entertainment agency.

“I would have given you a contract with the Lockwood entertainment agency but it would do more harm than good since you are not that famous yet” he explained and I nodded.

“This one is good enough, once I become as famous as the movie queen, I will jump ships to Lockwood Entertainment,” I said with determination and he just nodded calmly.
