Chapter 2 Jenna’s POV Groggily, I opened my eyes. Wait, I opened my eyes? I looked up at the white ceiling. Am I in heaven, or am I in the waiting room to hell? Hearing the continuous beeping sound, I looked around. I was in the freaking hospital; a drip was attached to my arm, and it was the heart monitor that was making noise. ‘I am alive’ I thought with excitement, That means someone must have rescued me. Is Rio dead? Am I free? But I became more confused when a woman who looked to be in her late fifties entered my room. “You finally tired of pretending, Jennifer, you freaking w***e, just because you have not seen your husband for two years, you pretended to commit suicide. What? did you think that would make him pay attention to you again? Can you please just leave my son once and for all? Our Stirling family cannot support you any longer." She shouted in a shrewd manner, and I could only look at her in confusion. I was married, and I had a wicked mother-in-law. I clutched my head when a sudden migraine hit me, and a wave of memories suddenly washed over me. So my name is Jennifer Lyon, but my friend calls me Jenna. I am married to Adler Stirling, a multi-millionaire who is supposedly my childhood sweetheart. My parents dislike me and always treat me like my sister's slave, and my husband hates me. For some reason, he was forced to marry me. My sister is a green tea b***h who loves to steal everything from me, and the most interesting part is that I was once an actress, but I quit because my husband’s family did not like it, and my sister, who is also an actress, was scared that I would outshine her. So did that mean that all my memories about the Hidden Valley and Rio were fake? It was just a nightmare. “Get out,” I said in a calm voice to my mother-in-law, who was still shouting at me. “How dare you talk to me that way? Do you realise who you are talking to? Maybe you have gone crazy.” She began another round of shouting, and I just felt a headache; she was a really noisy woman. Luckily, the doctor came just in time to chase her away for my peace. “Your vitals and everything look good; you can get discharged tomorrow when we are sure everything looks fine. But I would advise Mrs. Stirling that suicide is not the only answer for your problem,” she said with a warm smile, and it hit me. I was in the hospital because I tried to commit suicide. After all, ever since the day my husband married me, he avoided me completely and moved to another city. I was depressed. But I was confused: when did I become such a pushover? Why did I take bull sh*t from just anybody? That did not seem like my style. Before she left, the doctor turned on the television for me; the news channel was on. I was in for another shock when breaking news appeared, and I quote. “NOTORIOUS LEADER OF THE HIDDEN VALLEY KNOWN AS RIO AND HIS SISTER PRINCESS OF THE HIDDEN VALLEY JEN ARE DEAD, JEN WAS FOUND TO BE FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT.” So it was not fake; that long dream was not fake. I began to hyperventilate just thinking about it—what was happening, what was real? What is fake? I began to clutch my head as the pain intensified, my heart monitor began to make noise, and a bunch of doctors entered into my word, the previous one a male doctor and a nurse. “Don't touch me!” I shouted to the male doctor before I lost consciousness. I woke up and looked around. I was still in the hospital, and I was still Jennifer Lyon. A thought suddenly came to my head, but it was too good to be true. Did I rebirth into this body? I asked myself, and everything suddenly made sense. Indeed, I am Jen from the Hidden Valley. I remember all my wonderful medical skills and my hacking skills; I remember everything from my past life. I killed myself, and I entered Jennifer's body; she also killed herself, and her soul is probably gone. That is why I was able to enter her body. This all meant one thing to me. “I am freaking free,” I said with a huge smile on my face. I am free from that monster; I am not pregnant with his child. And although I have a scum husband and a wicked family, it was way better than being locked up for five years and being forced to birth a child. I had to make a bucket list of things I have to do now that I am freaking free. Although I was not as rich as my previous self, it was way better. The next day I was discharged from the hospital, and no one was even there to pick me up. I called my grandfather-in-law the only person in my scum husband’s family who seemed to care about me a little bit, and he sent someone to pick me up and take me home to my husband's villa even though he never lived there. I immediately started to pack my belongings, but I suddenly thought, Why should I move out? Where would I even go? To my parasite parents' house? I went to the office, and with my skills, I draughted a divorce agreement and printed it before heading for his office using one of his many cars parked in his garage. The previous owner dared not to his cars, causing them to sit there for two years, but since he dared to abandon those cars here, then I would take them as being mine. Even though they were not as luxurious as the ones I had seen in the hidden valley. I arrived at his office and ignored the receptionist shouting for me to come back because I had no appointment. The security came and tried to lay their hands on me. Now, although I could not defeat Rio in combat, I was still stronger than 80 percent of people around the world, as he has always made it a priority for me to be adept in all fighting skills. Very easily, I got rid of the guards and got on the elevator leading to Adler’s office. And just as his assistant saw me, she tried to stop me from entering his office. But how could a small assistant stop me? Without knocking, I entered his office, and there he was: my ‘husband was sitting on his office chair, with my'sister’ on his lap. I felt nothing; it's not like I knew them. Without wasting time, I took a picture, and when they realised it, they immediately separated. That gave me the chance to take a look at my supposed husband's face. His looks were just a little bit above average. I don't know why the previous Jenna was so in love with this scum. With a scoff, I confidently walked in and sat like the boss of the office. "Jennifer, what are you doing here? I have told you times without number never to come to my face!” He shouted angrily, and I smiled; he did not even feel sorry after being caught in the act of cheating. “Jennifer I am so sorry; it's just that I love Adler too much. I tried, but I just could not let him go." My sister Alex cried while Adler looked sorry for her. “What do you want to do now? Are you going to report to Grandpa? Just have it in mind that nobody can force me and Alex apart; we love each other okay, so deal with it,” he said, sounding so righteous, and I laughed. “Don't worry, you guys can keep each other; I don't want you anyway,” I said with amusement in my voice. “What the hell do you mean?” he asked angrily. “I said I do not want you; you are a freaking dog anyway; I don't know why Jennifer ever took a liking to you.” I laughed as I threw the divorce document to him. “You want to divorce?” he asked with shock in his voice. “Duh, do you think any reasonable woman would choose to still stay with you after all your bullsh*t? I laughed. “Jennifer I said I am sorry; don't worry from now on, Adler and I won't see each other,” Alex said with tears flowing down her eyes. "Oh, cut your bullshit, only a fool will believe your rubbish tears,” I said, causing her to look at me in shock, probably because the previous Jennifer was a fool and pushover. “Are you going to sign the divorce agreement or not?” I asked him while he skimmed through the document. “You want my villa, with my cars and a hundred million dollars, Jennifer, are you crazy?” He asked angrily, and I laughed. “I am crazy for thinking you are very rich; any way you are going to agree whether you like it or not unless the court would help us decide on a much larger sum, I am sure they would love to hear about Adler Stirling's adventure with his wife's sister,” I chuckled. “You have no evidence anyway." Adler smirked, and I smirked back in return. I brought out my phone and showed him the picture. “While you guys were enjoying each other's gentle embrace, I took a picture, and oh, I also recorded our conversation just now; I don't know if that is enough evidence for the court.” I laughed while he looked at me with disgust. “Whatever, but just don't come crawling back when your life becomes hard without my help!” he shouted angrily as he signed the document. I took it from him and stood up, heading for the door. “I want the money in my account today; you guys can resume your loving actions.” I laughed as I exited his office, and standing there was his mother, who looked at me with hatred in her eyes. And so quickly she got a hold of my hair and dragged it with anger. “How dare you divorce my son? Who the hell do you think you are?” She shouted, and without breaking a sweat, I forced her arm open and pushed her away. “You are like a shrew, do you know that?” I mocked her while I was fixing my hair. “You were in my hotel room yesterday begging me to leave your son, and here I am. Why are you so mad? Get a life,” I told her before walking away confidently. Jennifer, I am sorry, but this is my body now, and I must make the most of it. I certainly would not be bullied by anyone. I went to the civil affairs bureau to register our divorce before heading to my house to change my outfit. I had to celebrate my new life at the bar.
