Hazel's POV
As soon as we got to his room, he carefully placed me on the ground.
“What just happened?” I whispered, still in shock. Damien had stopped Master Caden from taking me away. He also defended me in front of the King.
I looked at him clearly. He looked angry but I wasn't bothered or scared. I was sure he would never try to hurt me.
“I will make sure that man doesn't ever enters the palace again.” He was furious, not at me though.
“But he works for you, doesn't he? Won't it be inappropriate to send him away?” I muttered.
Knowing the maids in the palace, I was sure their hatred for me just increased after what transpired earlier.
“He is one of our men but that doesn't make him indispensable.”
Smiling to show him how happy he had made me, I took two steps closer to him
