The walk back to the palace was in silence. Damien didn't say a word and I was too lost in my own thoughts to speak. Did I make a mistake by helping that child earlier?
I know he tried to stop me but was my actions wrong? I didn't know what to think and just followed him from behind without asking any questions. An outing that was once for love has changed.
