Hazel's POV
Today, I was standing outside in the fields while I waited for the King to finish flying. He had refused me from going with him since I was a human and could die at the mere sight of his dragon, although I bet he was just bragging about the ferocity of it.
Betty didn't come with me this time. Mrs. Lisa had something she wanted her to do. When I protested, she told me I was a quick learner and should follow my instincts. I didn't even know what that meant. Maybe she meant I should heal the King with my powers if he got injured.
I had been standing for about an hour with my new security, Brad by my side. He refused to leave despite my constant anger towards him.
