Abril tasted the lemonade, it was fresh and sweet, and she felt the heat dissipate a little. Alessandro brushed a strand of hair that had escaped her braid and tucked it behind her ear, then asked, "Are you okay?"

"It's very hot, your cheeks are still red."
Seeing his brother flirting with Abril made Cassian feel uneasy. He stood up and said, "I'll step out for a moment, I'll be right back."

After Cassian left, Alessandro said to Abril, "I'm not upset that you came. I enjoyed seeing you, but right now the port isn't a very safe place. I was planning to show it to you once everything was sorted out."
