Chapter 63 Dead End Ashley disregarded Gabriel's efforts, her clothes disheveled as she lay on the bed, her gaze fixed on the ceiling light. If it were summer, there would be bugs swarming under the streetlights. Her slightly sore eyes blinked as tears slipped down her cheeks and soaked into the sheets. "I'll help you get dressed," Gabriel said again, his voice gentle yet firm. He knew she didn't want to see him, but he was worried she might catch a cold. Ashley still didn't respond and turned her head away. Exhausting all her remaining strength, she exhaled, "Get out." Right now, Ashley didn't want to waste another word on him. "I said, get lost," she repeated. Then, she finally took a deep breath and gathered more strength. She sat up and pushed Gabriel away with all her might.
