Keira’s hands were shaking as she called Cristiano later that evening to share the news. Just as before, he answered on the second ring.
“I said I would think about Greece,” Keira told him. “And I have. I’m in.”
Cristiano’s elation was audible in his voice. “You are? What made you decide?”
Keira knew it was important to be honest about the nature of the trip. “I told Elliot I wanted to write a piece about it. It will be a test, to see whether the no-commitment approach can really work.”
