It has been two whole weeks since I have seen Sage. God, why did he do that? Why with my best friend, Becca? What did I do to deserve that?
I have a feeling I should believe him. I need to wake up and smell the deception, but I should talk to Becca to see what is going on. Anaya was growling, “No, you’d better go and talk to our husbands. They will let us know. I do not trust her, she has shifty eyes, and did you see how she didn't feel ashamed of what she was doing when we caught them in his office?”
God, I need to wake up from this nightmare, grrrr.
Wake me up to someone I want out of this nightmare.
I just heard my best friend wanted me to die so she can take my place and spot Alpha Sage as his Luna. Oh hell, no, she is not going to take my man away from me.
I am watching and listening to her talk on her phone to someone, and she is giggling and sighing.
“Baby, I miss you too. Yep, I am with Amanda; I’m meeting her in twenty minutes. Oh, Sage, you're bad,” she says.
I was like, what? I thought, why is he calling her and saying he misses her? He’s supposed to be calling me and saying he loves me, not her. I was about to confront her and ask why the f**k are you talking to my man while you’re supposed to be my best friend and meet up with and not trying to f**k up my marriage?
But before I could, I saw that Sage was calling me, then looked over at Becca. She was still on the phone.
I answer,“ Hello, Sage.”
“Oh, baby, don’t hang up.”
Becca was still in her cell. “I gotta go. No, I will not say that now. Oh, right, Sage, please f**k me in your bed later.”
“What the f**k, Sage? You just said to her to f**k you in our bed”.
I was about to hang up when he says, “Baby, how would I be calling you and talking to her at the same time?” I was like, this is some f****d s**t I am witnessing here.”
I am so confused right now.
“Baby, please, hello, are you there?”
“Yeah, I am here, but babe, I love you so much. Why would you go and f**k her again? I have been gone for 2 weeks, and you do this to me,” I say. “Why did you have to hurt me again? I am not some slag you can play with. I am your wife and the f*****g Luna for your pack, asshat.”
“Wait, baby, I swear I haven’t touched her since we were together and after you left our little cottage. I swear, baby, I love you,” he says.
I wish I could believe him.
“Baby, did you say that she is talking to me on the cell right now?” He says.
I heard a gasp, and then she was like, “Sage, I have to get off here, so I can pretend to feel sorry for my loser bestie.”
So this is how she is going to be, alright. “Hold on, babe, be quiet, ok.”
“Ok, baby, I will do anything for you, baby, my queen,” he says.
I walk over, and she is still on the phone.
“Shhhh, stay silent, honey,” I say.
“Ok, baby, I will be silent for you,” he says.
I clear my throat.
“I gotta go, baby; I’ll call you later, snookums.”
I was growling from the inside, holding Anaya, my wolf, back from killing my ex-bestie. She doesn’t know it yet, but I will make sure she will never mess with Sage or me ever again.
“Becca, hi, how are you?”
“I am fine, just a little sick,” she says.
“Oh dear, so sorry you're feeling like that,” I say.
“Oh, not that kind of sick, Mandy.”
“What do you mean?”
“Love, duh girl, I am in love,” she says.
“Wow, did not see that coming,” I say.
“Excuse me,” She says.
“Oh nothing, just hoping to head back home to my lonely husband. You know, alone at the house, waiting for me to open my eyes and go back to him.”
“Well, maybe he doesn’t deserve you because Amanda, you’re such a wonderful person, and you’re better off without him, anyway.”
I was thinking, what a b***h, and I can hear Sage growling and trying to get me to get her on my phone so that he can tell her off himself.
“Well, I know I am the only woman for him, and it is going to stay like that, no matter what,” I say and look right at her as if to say something at me about that.
I was waiting for her to slip up, which she’d already done when I came back early. I knew I had to call Sage to make sure it wasn’t true, but he called me, and I am like, what the hell. Then I answer the call, and that is when I put everything together about what all this is
about. Becca is not the victim. Sage was, and she is playing me. What a man-stealing she-wolf w***e.
Sage is furious, and I’m just glad I caught Becca lying, saying it was Sage on the cell with her. She thought she’d got away with it, and then saying she is in love but won’t tell me who? I am kind but not stupid. I was the Valedictorian of my graduating class. I am smarter than you think, w***e? I thought.
“Oh, Becca, do you really think I am dumb?” I say.
“What are you talking about?” She says.
“Well, first of all, I am on the phone with my husband, and I am pretty sure I heard you giggling and pretending to talk to The Alpha that stole my heart the first glance he made my way Stone. So again, you can’t say you were talking to him. I am here to hear you out? So what do you need? I am waiting.”
I got her, and she is sweating balls now, literally speaking, haha!
“Mandy, I am so sorry he never told you about us. I had no idea you were looking for me, but I am not giving up on our friendship ever. I wish we can still be besties and start over. What do you say?” She says.
I am listening to everything she just said. I would never be friends with her ever again. Sage is still on the phone with me, listening to everything that is said between us.
“No, don’t do it, baby. She is trying to get through you to get to me. She is crazy, baby, don’t do it,” he said.
“Oh, let me think?” I say.
She is waiting for my answer, but when everything is quiet, I can hear her thoughts, and I can hear her say, I am going to kill you with so much hurt, he will be mine again.
I mind-linked Sage because of her being there, and I didn’t want to say out loud what Becca was thinking, and I wanted him to know about my abilities and the powers I had developed after our
wedding night.
“What powers, baby?” He mind-linked me back.
“I can feel your touch. When we are apart, I think about you and your touch. I can feel what you’re feeling, and I can also tell if someone is lying or telling truthful things. I can also send pleasure sound waves to you if I wanted. Oh, and there is one thing I forgot to tell you. I can change into anything I want to be. So when Kyle came to see you, well, that was me.”
Then I hear a gasp.! “Wow, what?” Lee says.
