Khaïd

" OK, then. Let's go." She was a very pretty woman, but her husky voice hardly suited her. The young woman walked ahead of Ava, the lamp lighting the way. Her hands were still tied and her wrists sore. The young woman glanced behind her from time to time, no doubt to make sure Ava was still there and not up to any mischief. The place was spooky and Ava could hear mice noises from time to time. It was even scarier than the small room she was in. Without the little lamp, they would probably have been engulfed in darkness... After a long walk, they climbed a long, high staircase before exiting through a door that gave way to a much more welcoming and... warm atmosphere. Much better than where she was... It was as if she'd suddenly entered a parallel reality. She glanced behind her and realised she was in the basement. It was much bigger than the one at home and much better equipped. At least there was a window. At home, it was dark and always warm, even when it rained. "Welcome to the mansion of the Alpha Khaïd... First of all, you should know that you were sold to give him a child... So from now on you live only for him..." give him a child? The young woman had spoken with an indifferent tone as if this was the most normal news there was. As for Ava, she lost her balance in surprise and had to lean against the wall to keep from falling... "150 gold coins, my darling. I hope you don't think he bought you for nothing!" the young woman replied, giving her a pitiful look. Ava didn't even bother to reply. This was how she was going to lose it... Her precious virginity. With her stepfather impotent, she'd always believed that the Moon Goddess was protecting her for her mate, even if she wasn't sure she'd find him. Now she was sure that her buyer would make sure he enjoyed his purchase. At the time, the young woman felt like an object... That's what she was after all, an object... All her life, she was an object... *** "We have a problem. came the voice from behind the handset. Khaid frowned... It was his second in command, Joshua. "I'm on my way" he replied, suddenly anxious... He didn't like the tone of his voice... It must have been something really serious. Joshua was a crazy guy, and if he was this agitated, something big was going on. Something he probably wouldn't like. He came out of his office to find a few of his men standing in the corridor, lined up and on guard. They bowed their heads in respect as he walked past. As he passed through the dark door into the soundproof basement, his body tensed. The air around him was stale and his footsteps echoed in the silence as he prepared for the worst. When he opened the door to bedroom 6, he saw Joshua leaning against the wall, his head bowed in despair. He didn't even notice his entrance, so lost was he in his own thoughts. He cleared his throat and his second-in-command finally looked up... His expression was one of horror and disgust. "This is serious," said Josha, pointing to a corner of the room. Khaid nodded, then stepped forward to lead the way, while Josha followed. Walking with a heavy step, he eventually discovered a bloodied man tied to a chair at the back of the room. The basement room was empty, except for the chair in the middle and a table at the back. Four of his men stood around him. He didn't recognise the captive, but when the latter looked up at Khaid, the Alpha could see that they were filled with terror. As he moved a little closer, his already pale face twisted in pain. He struggled against the chair as Khaid stopped in front of him. "What's going on? "Khaïd's voice echoed around the room. He didn't take his eyes off the man and when he saw him flinch, a feeling of satisfaction shot through his body. He'd better be petrified," he thought harshly. Joshua reached around to stand behind the man, grabbed his hair and pulled hard until his neck bent painfully backwards. The man screamed and struggled. Khaid looked up from the battered captive to meet Josha's disgusted gaze. "He's one of us, Alpha. And he betrayed us. I heard him talking to them on the phone. The blood moon pack. He's working for them," Joshua growled. Khaid's blood rushed through his veins. If there was one thing he hated most in the world, it was betrayal. He looked at the man who had his eyes closed, understanding surely that he should never...look at him if he wanted...a death worthy of a werewolf. The anger that seized Khaïd's body was indescribable. He had betrayed him. He had... The King. The Alpha. The person who owned his life. Khaid chuckled. Nobody betrayed him with impunity. No. "You betrayed me, didn't you?" He said in the direction of the man. "He's a rebel too, Alpha." Joshua replied. Khaid raised his eyebrows at what Joshua had just told him. The rebels. The rebels who were trying to overthrow him. "What should I do with you? He said, pulling gloves from his pocket to meet the man's horrified gaze. "Bring me a chair," he shouted. He saw one of his men step back hastily and carry out his orders. "Here you go, Alpha," said Connor, a minute later. He placed the chair behind him and walked slowly away. He sat down and faced the man. The man opened his eyes and looked straight at him. His anger flared. Leaning forward, he growled into his face. "Why?" His body trembled with fear but he refused to answer. Khaid looked up then gestured towards Joshua who was still holding the man. He let go of the man and walked over to the table a few steps away, only to return with a knife in his hand. Khaid smiled almost cruelly and leaned back in the chair, crossing his arms over his chest. "Have fun," he said, ordering him to torture him. As he began his work, the man's screams filled the room. Blood dripped onto the floor, but Khaïd kept his gaze fixed on him the whole time. When he judged that he had suffered enough for the moment, he raised his hand. Joshua instantly ceased his torture. Leaning forward again, Khaid asked menacingly: "Why and who?" Khaïd laughed as the man glowered at him. Joshua stepped forward and punched him. "Show your Alpha some respect." "I'm going to ask the question one last time. Why and who?" He replied threateningly, taking his face in my hand. His fingers dug hard into his cheek until blood flowed profusely from his wounds. When he still refused to answer, he dropped his face and stood up, pushing his chair back. This time, he had to take over. He didn't want to get his hands dirty, but the man tied to the chair in front of him forced his hand. It would be a lesson. The rest of his men had to see him killed. They had to see the consequences if they too decided to betray him. They had to see the worst of him. How brutal he could be. They seemed to have forgotten that. Everyone feared him and no one betrayed him. He walked over to the table, picked up the tongs. As he turned, all his men took a step back. Joshua smiled sadistically and shook his head. "Yeah, Alpha. Show him who you are." Joshua held the captive's head against the chair. He positioned himself in front of him and brutally grabbed his chin, not caring if he hurt him. He forced his mouth open and when he opened it, Khaid caught a tooth under his claws. The man tried to scream, but he wouldn't give him the chance... It took him hours to be satisfied. And when Khaid had finished, he was no longer breathing. Let that be a lesson to him. "Give his remains to the pack. His body could be used as food." He said to his men. They nodded. "Joshua, as for you... Go and find out from our mole in the Blood Moon pack what this dog told them." "Yes, Alpha." Joshua said obediently. Khaid took off his gloves and washed his hands before leaving the basement to return to his office... As he poured himself a glass of whisky, there was a knock on his door... He frowned, suddenly feeling in a bad mood... "Come in..." It was Hailey, his governess... He relaxed his features. "What's going on?" "She's here, Alpha. I've put her in her quarters." "Good. Get her ready, I'll meet her in her room tonight." "Aye, aye, Alpha."
