I watched as the pack rushed back into the building, the younger ones looking a little more shaken than the others. I guess that they have never experienced anything like this before. I know that I have never even seen a dead body. I watched as Arlo, Charlie and a few of the others stormed back up the grass towards the mansion. Arlo looked up and locked eyes with me momentarily; I had never seen him look so worn down. This was clearly taking its toll on him. I watched until the last pack member disappeared below me; entering the mansion; and knew that it would only be a matter of minutes until Arlo was back up here. I hurried back into the warmth of the room and stood awkwardly, waiting for his return.
