“Ella! Ella!” Ella opened her eyes wide when she heard her name reverberating through the air. A loud knock that echoed throughout the room broke the quiet silence. She let out a heavy sigh and carefully put her hands around her hurting head. Over time, she found the strength to open her tired eyes. “Why am I here?” Ella asked. Looking around, she felt lost and confused, and the question kept going through her mind. She slowly woke up to lie on the cold bathroom floor tiles. The resounding sound of repeated hammering on the walls abruptly roused her.
