Chapter 16

I sat on the kitchen island, watching Mesh manoeuvre around the kitchen, whipping up something he called 'Ruffeto', claiming I would like it and all.

I played with my now white hair wondering how in hell the dye washed up overnight. I had woken up from my dream like this...with my hair back in it's original color and my eye contacts off.

I eyed Mesh, thinking about his reaction to my white hair and mismatched eyes.

He had seems almost happy which i found extremely wierd but i was glad he didn't think of me as a freak or anything to me. He had said " I don't care if you're white, black, yellow or blue. As long as you're you then it's all ok. By the way you look more beautiful and ethereal in your natural look". I know, I think my heart turned puddle when he said those words.

I shuddered when the thought of my nightmare slipped into my mind. How it felt so real. Mesh barely asked me anything about it and I knew he just wanted to give me time. I'm so grateful he didn't push it.

"Just a few minutes and you'll taste the best food ever". I laughed as he exaggerated with his hand up and a goofy smile planted on his face. I couldn't help but give him the same goofy smile.

He stopped between my legs, kissing my forehead " Are you sure you are alright now?". he asked, his eyes peering into mine in pure worry.

"I'm ok. I promise". I think...

"Do you want to talk about it?".

I hastily shook my head meekingly "I will, just give me time".

He nodded before pecking my lips lightly and was going to turn away but I wasn't having that. I wrapped my leg around his waist, pulling him back to me with a whine and he chuckled.

He cupped my cheek gently before bringing his lips to meet mine in a slow savouring kiss. I turned puddle, literally and if I wasn't sitting on the kitchen island I'm sure my leg would've failed me.

What started out as a slow, passionate kiss turned into something more desperate and hurried with Mesh's tongue dominating every part of my mouth.

His lips left mine much too soon only to move to my neck, giving me open mouth kisses. I moaned loudly, my eyes rolling to the back of my head. He nibbled on the spot between my neck and my shoulder, sending shudder all through my body. I moaned once again, the feeling all knew to me. His lips once again moved to mine, ravishing me whole like he couldn't just get enough.

We didn't stop and I don't think there was any plan to stop until thick smoke started to fill the kitchen, causing us to pause before his eyes widened in realization.

Omg. The food.

"I can't believe you burnt it all Mesh". "With all the exaggerations" I shook my head disapprovingly when he passed me a bowl of cereals. That's exactly what we decided to settle for after the burnt breakfast.

He raised an eyebrow, giving me a blank look " You can't put the whole blame on me, after all you were the one who pulled me back for more". He shrugged, sitting on the dining chair.

I gasped in an absolutely exaggerated way, clutching to my chest "Oh my God. I can't believe you're blaming me Mesh". I settled opposite him, giving me the flip.

He laughed heartily before leaning to give me a kiss on the lips " I'll make it another time for you". he promised " and make sure not to distract me then or we might actually burn the whole kitchen". he added with a wink, making my face beet red.

"Whatever". I muttered making him chuckle.

A comfortable silence settled between us as we ate and I couldn't help but dread the fact that he'll drop me off home soon. I don't wanna leave him.

Jesus! why am I being a clingy b***h!.

The door bell rang, making me look up, expectantly. "I'll go get it". he said standing up and I stood up to follow him because I was curious.

He opened the door and a 'Hi Mesh' came from the porch before a brunette made her way in. Ofcourse she was surprised to see me in and she eyed me in what I decided is distain. Who the f**k is this b***h.

"Emma this is my..work partner Geminai and Geminai...this is my girlfriend Emma". he introduced us ,giving me an intense look when he introduced me as his girlfriend.

The girl rolled her eyes before facing Mesh, ignoring me totally. " We need to talk". she grounds "And it's urgent". She added.

Mesh nodded before asking me to excuse him. I watched as both of them head toward the study with my fist clenched and my head literally fuming.

*In the study****

He locked the door to the study before facing the brunette who visibly gulp at his visible change in mood "I thought I asked you not to come find me else its an emergency".

She bowed a little before clearing her throat "It is indeed an emergency Prince Yvran. The council have refused to go on with the inauguration else you bring your mate home with you. And your father wants you to bring in your mate also".

He raised an eyebrow "That's nothing new. Is that the emergency?". his eyes glowed in anger

"N-n-no, King Degan of Tershish is awake".

"What!". "You should have f*****g said that before". he was going to scream before he remembered his mate was just outside.

"It'll be best to go home soon Your highness. A ball will be held to welcome the king back. Our kingdom was invited and the news that the lost princess has been found is wide spread now. It is in your best interest to stop shielding her from what she really is and bring her back to our world". ..." Those were your father's, Our king's exact words". She added

"You tell my father that I'll be home soon. I still have some things to sort out".
