The urge to follow rose again, like an invisible string tugged at his chest, trying to entice him to go with Jack. It was the same feeling he had every time he thought about Jack or stood at the front door. The need to wrap himself in the warmth of this house and the man in it. He couldn’t explain it beyond that and it confused Mason so much. Jack wasn’t that familiar to him, which meant there wasn’t a reason for him to be so content in the man’s home.
