Chapter 6

Third Person's POV

With his g*n pointing directly at the woman's head, Sav stared at her for a second. There is not even a glimpse of fear in her eyes when their eyes met, at kahit na hawak na ni Sav ang buhay nito at ano mang oras ay magagawa niya itong patayin, ay hindi ito nagpapakita ni konting kahinaan o pagkatakot.

"She's probably the grandchild of Alberto, the chairman of Augustin." Lorenzo spoke, just enough for him to hear.

Just by staring at the woman, Sav can already tell that she's not some any average person. Nanliit ang mata ni Sav habang nakikipagtagisan ng tingin rito.

"So, your grandfather sent you," Sav stated.

Kaagad naman umiling ang babae. "I came here for negotations. You killed my lawyer, you owe me something--

"I don't owe anything from anyone, lady." Madiing ani Sav at mas lalong idiniin ang b***l sa noo ng babae.

Napipil ang dila nito, "Release me! Then let me tell y--

"Are you naive, or just simply stupid?" Nakaramdam ng kaunting pagkainis si Sav dahil sa pinapakitang katapangan ng babae, maging ang pakikiusap nito na wari ay kailangan mong sumunod sa mga sinasabi nito.

"I'm aware about the lawyer thing, Sav, looks like--

"I don't care about any other thing. She put herself into this situation and we are not the kind of people that can be talk nicely with, Lorenzo." Pagputol ni Sav sa tangkang pagsasalita ni Lorenzo.

The woman suddenly grinned, "So you really killed my lawyer?! I will make sure to put you in jail, if you won't release me this instant!" Biglang sigaw nito. Sav glared at her.

"You're not in the place to say that." Gigil na ani Sav at hindi na sana magdadalawang isip na pasabugin ang ulo nito nang biglang mapatayo si Lorenzo.

"You can't kill her."

Natigilan si Sav at napalingon kay Lorenzo. Lukot ang mukha ni Sav at halata ang iritasyon sa mukha.

"She's the daughter of the Red Hat's boss." Ani Lorenzo.

Natigilan si Sav at bahagyang pinroseso sa utak ang sinabi nito, saka na muling bumaling kay Alviz.

"You surely know alot about the Augustins, huh Lorenzo?" May sarkasmong ani Sav habang nakatingin sa mukha ng babae na pawang papatayin na siya sa klase ng titig na pinupukol nito sakaniya.

"I investigated about the Red-Hat, and then I found out about their boss' background information, and then I saw that girl's photo, being the boss' daughter--

"I'm not anyone's daughter!" Gigil na ani bigla ng babae at kung kanina ay matalim lamang ang tingin nito, ngayon ay pawang nanggagalaiti na ito sa galit.

Sav can't help but to stare at the woman's eyes which is full of hatred and rage. May kung anong emosyon na sumaglit sa dibdib ni Sav habang nakatingin sa mga mata nito. He have already seen someone with the same rage and hatred in their eyes.

Muli itong nag-umpisang magpumiglas. Sav didn't know why he put his g*n down. Iniwas na niya ang tingin sa babae saka tiningnan si Al na gumagapos rito.

Sinenyasan niya si Al ng isang tango at makahuluganang tingin. Mag-sasalita pa sana ang babae nang hampasin ni Al ang babae dahilan para mawalan na ito ng malay.

Sav let out a deep breathe. Isinuksok niya na pabalik sa bewang ang b***l na hawak, habang nakatingin pa rin sa babaeng wala nang malay at hawak na ni Al ngayon.

Binalingan niya si Lorenzo na nakatingin lang sakaniya.

"I'll handle her."

Tumango lang si Lorenzo na nakatingin rin sa babaeng wala nang malay. Binuhat na ito ni Al.

"Let's just meet again tomorrow." Bilin ni Sav rito saka na tumalikod.

"Remember, you can't kill her." Paalala pa ni Lorenzo sakaniya.

"You can't tell me what to do, Lorenzo. This woman, being the daughter of the Red-Hat isn't the reason why I didn't kill her." Huling sambit niya bago naglakad paalis.

Sophia's POV

"Ugh.."

Slowly, I opened my eyes, just to realize that I lose consciousness. Mabilis akong napabalikwas at tumingin-tingin sa paligid. I can clearly remember that I was in a room with Sav Ragienza pointing his g*n to me, and the next thing happened is that the guy who's restraining me hit me on the back of my head.

Mabilis kong inilibot ang tingin sa paligid. I knew that they can't kill me if they're really mafia, and as far as I remember, they mentioned about the organization led by Isabela.

Just being related to her, sucks. But because of that, I really confirmed that these people, the Ragienza and Vandiselcio are the same as the likes of Isabela, they're mafia.

Remembering the informations that I gathered about them, napakagaling nilang magtago ng impormasyon tungkol sakanila. Not to mention that those information came from someone I trusted the most, and the most reliable one, si Jade. My bestfriend who's a police officer.

Gaano ba ka-makapangyarihan ang Ragienza at Vandiselcio at nakakaya ng mga itong itago ng napakalinis ang masama nilang gawain?

Napalunok ako at sinubukang gumalaw nang mapagtanto kong nakatali ako sa isang upuan. Bumigat ang pag-hinga ko nang naramdaman ko ang sakit sa ulo ko. Nasaan ako?

Isa lang itong silid na walang kahit na anong gamit at tingin ko ay nasa sentro ako at nakaupo habang nakatali, ni wala man tao sa loob-- ang siyang inakala ko, nang makarinig ako ng mahihinang kaluskos sa likod.

"Your name is Lockey Sophia Alviz Augustin." My heart started to beat abnornally fast out of nervousness, when I heard a baritone voice spoke from my behind. Sinubukan kong muling magpumiglas sa pagkakatali ko rito sa upuan.

"Nasaan ako?! Sino ka--

"You specially came for me, didn't you?" Natigilan ako nang bumungad sa harapan ko ang lalaking nagsasalita. I was stunned for a moment as I stare at his face.

Kaagad na tumalim ang mata ko, "Sammuel Von Ragienza." Sambit ko sa pangalan niya. His eyes remained cold as he stared back at me.

"What does the Augustin wants from me now? Bakit hindi ang Lolo mo ang humarap saakin? I've been ignoring your business ever since I was put in position after my father, but now, look at him. Sending me his granddaughter to--

"You're a devil." Matalim na salansan ko sa sinasabi nito na ikinatigil niya. There was a brief of silence.

"You killed my lawyer! You're in a mafia organization! You manipulate people for your own greed! You're trying to get control of everything just to get what you desire! You're just simply disgusting!" Para na akong nagwawala rito pero nakatingin lang siya saakin.

Hinihingal ako nang tumigil ako sa pagsasalita nang makita ko ang gumuhit na ngisi sa labi nito.

"Done?"

My jaw clenched in anger. Ang kapal ng mukha! Ni hindi man lang tinablan sa mga salitang sinabi ko! Pareho-pareho talaga sila! Katulad sila ni Isabela!

"Woman, have you been aware of how stupid you are?" Natigilan ako sa sinabi nito nang bigla itong tumalikod.

Halos mapupod na ang ngipin ko sa sobrang panggagalaiti nang maalala ko si Hailey doon sa Night Coast!

Hope she's doing just fine. Knowing her, she would be probably panicking right now. Pero may alas ako... in Hailey's phone, everything that happened to me in the President's office has been voice recorded! Sav Ragienza probably thinks that I no longer has a card to play, but he's wrong.

Hindi ako nagsalita, tiningnan ang bawat galaw niya. He's too tall and physically fit, and If I were to fight him in a physical combat, I would lose. I no longer have a g*n to intimidate him! I need to think of something else!

"I sent your grandfather a picture of you, and your mother--

"WHAT?!" Napasigaw ako sa sinabi nito, napasulyap ito saakin at muling napapihit paharap.

My breathing became unsteady.

He did what?!

"You accused me that I killed your lawyer without any evidence, and you bear the name of Augustin, that's the same as starting a war between the Ragienza and Augustin."

Hindi ako makapaniwala sa pinagsasabi nito. Hindi ako puwedeng makita ni Lolo sa ganitong lagay! Or else, he would really consider Javer as the deserving one to succeed his company! Hindi ko ito inaasahan!

"How dare you! This is between me and you! How could you let my grandpa know about thi--

"I do clearly remember that we've never met before, for us to have anything to do with each other. It's between your grandpa and me--

"Grandpa doesn't know anything about this!" May halong kaba na sigaw ko.

He paused for a while, still staring at me until he grinned.

"I will give you the chance to finally tell me what do you really want from me? I'm just ignoring that fact that you're the Red Hat boss' daughter--

"I am not any woman's daughter! Bingi ka ba o sadyang ignorante lang? I did shouted this fact before you, right?! I.AM.NOT.ANY.WOMAN'S.DAUGHTER!" Nanggagalaiti na ako sa galit habang itong lalaking nasa harapan ko ay blanko lang ang tingin saakin.

There's something within the way he stares at me, and I hate every seconds of it, he's a bad person, he does the same thing as Isabela!

"You're not afraid to die?" Kapagkuwan ay biglang tanong nito.

Bumunga ako ng marahas na hangin, nakakamatay pa rin ang tingin na ipinupukol ko rito.

"Not even a bit." Madiing sagot ko nang bigla lang itong tumango saka tumalikod.

"Then let me have the honor to kill the heiress of the Augustin, and the only daughter of the Red Hat." My eyes widened when he pulled out a g*n from his waist and pointed it towards me. My breathe hitched.

He's...he's too heartless! Pero hindi ako natinag! Sinalubong ko ang tingin niya ng napakatalim. If he kills me now, they would be put in jail tomorrow. Because Hailey has the evidence.

"You can't kill me." I grinned. I saw how his face darkened.

"What a stubborn woman." Hindi nakaligtas sa pandinig ko ang ibinulong nito nang bigla itong ngumisi.

"I don't care even if the Red-Hat will start a mafia war against the Ragienza. I see no importance of you, being alive."

"Is that so? Go ahead. Then kill me! Someone knows that I'm in your hands now, and if you kill me, the blame will only be directed at you, you will be the prime suspect, your organization's evil deeds will be revealed, you will rot in jail, devil! Go and kill me--

"Is this where your confidence coming from?"

Nagulat ako nang biglang namatay ang iilang ilaw ng silid na ito at biglang may bumukas na pawang projector sa may dingding na direksyon sa harapan ko.

My mouth left hanging when I recognized the person, shown in the projector.

Nanikip ang dibdib ko.

"Hailey!" Sigaw ko saka nag-umpisang mag alimpasag.

Hailey's tied in a chair while uncinscuous, sa harapan niya ay isang mesa at ang mga gamit na dala-dala niya kanina, maging ang bag ko kanina ay nadoon rin.

This is my first time feeling the same fear I felt since I was a child. The fear of seeing someone lose their life before of me... and because of me...

My eyes watered as I looked at Sav Ragienza who's staring at me.

I started to shake my head, parang wala na ako sa sarili.

"D-Don't touch her." My voice trembled.

He frowned as he look at me, and as if he was stunned for a moment, until he looked away.

"This is not how I expected you to react." Anito saka ibinaba ang b***l .

I sniffed while still looking at the sight of Hailey in the projector.

I'm cornered.

"Don't... d-don't kill her." I sound as if begging, ni hindi ko na kontrolado ang sarili ko at parang natataranta na ako.

"Noo! Mama!"

My body froze when a memory from the past came back in my head. Wala sa sariling napailing-iling ako.

"No! No! No!" I hysterically shouted as I felt my body trembling and my mind in emptiness.

I shut my eyes as I felt a tear escaped. "H-Hailey... H-Hailey... no, don't kill h-her!"

"What's happening?"

I was startled when I felt a hand in my shoulder. Awtomatikong napamulat ako ng mata at bumungad saakin at matatalim na pares ng mga matang nakatingin saakin.

"D-Don't kill...

.

.

...Hailey."

I felt my body getting heavy and my breath cancelling as my vision is getting blurry, until everything went black.
