Addison rested her head against the back of her seat and glared out the small window. Anything to avoid looking over at him. Now that it was done and they were in the air, well on their way, she wanted to let it go. She did. But there was the other part of her, the one who refused to fail, that wanted to fight. She’d let herself go in her first marriage. She’d let so much go that before long, she wasn’t sure what she was fighting for any longer. She’d lost her voice, her will to fight and there was a point, a shift, one that had occurred so gradually that, she couldn’t pinpoint when and where it happened.
