Athena's P.O.V.
I woke up in the bed alone, Callan nowhere to be found. I figured he had a lot to do today concerning the vampires we captured last night, so I just let the fact that he didn't tell me goodbye this morning slide. Once I finished my shower and getting dressed I walked to the kitchen. My grandma and Gavin were there talking and drinking coffee. I figured it was a little strange, because I thought Callan would've taken Gavin with him today.
"Good morning, Athena. Did you sleep well? Your lovely mate wanted you to get as much rest as you could.", my grandma says to me as she looks up at me from her coffee mug.
