I found myself exhausted after visiting Lawrence, which was odd since Fae didn't need to sleep much. Perhaps it was because it had been a very long day, starting early in the morning in Scotland, and then being whisked away to a different continent and a strange situation. Both Lawrence's and Barton's warnings played in my head. Was I really in danger? From what or whom? All signs pointed to one thing: I needed to get Lawrence better and out of there so that we could go back to Atlanta or Scotland and figure out where things stood between us.
