Chapter 8

I couldn't get it out of my head, it lingered and played on repeat until I could recall the fresh memory perfectly. Their touch still lingered on me the next day, clinging almost as long as their scent did. I reeled back in surprise when there was suddenly a hand waving in my face. "Harrison?" Chet, a classmate of mine, raised an eyebrow and nudged me. I almost wanted to whine, seeing as a nudge for him meant pushing me against the desk. I hate tall people. "You've been spacing all class, what's up?" "Huh? Nothing! Why do you say that?" I crossed my arms with a firm nod. "I'm fine." He snorted before ruffling my hair. "Sure, whatever. Just make sure not to space out during the events." My cheeks puffed out, remembering the sports event the art department was required to attend. We were surely going to lose by an embarrassing large gap like every other year. Audrey clasped a hand on Chets shoulder with a serious look. "Thank you for your sacrifice." He looked confused, pointy ears twitching as his eyebrows drew together. "Huh? Sacrifice?" "Look at us." She blinked. "Four hybirds, and not a single human with any muscle-" "Hey!" "We have some muscle." "-Anyways. You're in every event so thank you." She smiled and squeezed his shoulder again. Chet didn't seem fazed at all as his tail started to wag quickly. "Every event, really? You guys don't mind?" "Nope, we'll leave it to you Mr. Monster." He gave her a salute and stood to his full 6'4 height. "I won't let you down." Audrey dropped down in his seat when he scurried off to the changing rooms and laughed. "He's the kind of stupid where it's endearing, y'know?" I held back my laugh, just to be nice, but nodded. "Yeah." "He's right though." She eyed me. "You've been spacing out and you reek of your boyfriends." I flushed and waved my hand around. "It's nothing." "Nothing?" She poked a bite mark on my neck. "Jesus, what did you do?" Slapping my hand to my neck, I leaned back. "Grown up things, Audrey. You wouldn't understand." "I have a girlfriend." I waved her off and dropped my head in my palm as my mind flashed back to yesterday again. "Kneel." Morgan stopped me just before I could sit in his lap, like I originally thought he wanted. He pointed to the spot in between his legs while waiting patiently. Only ever wanting to please him, I kneeled down, earning a smile as reward. "Good boy." He stroked under my chin before cupping my cheeks. Tilting my head up, he gave a thoughtful hum as he studied me. "Aren't you just the cutest?" I quickly melted into his soft pets as Caesar casually sat next to Morgan. "What made you put this on him?" "Felt like it." Morgan rolled his eyes and looked back at me. "He said it would make you happy." I supplied instead. "Oh?" Morgan smirked at Caesar and leaned over to him. "You were thinking about me? I'm so touched, Caesar." Caesar gave him a rather bland look but Morgan pulled him down by his shirt collar until they were a breath away. "You even picked out one of my collars for him." Caesar didn't respond, choosing to dip his head down and connect their lips instead. Morgan seemed to fully expect this, judging from the way he immediately responded with equal enthusiasm. I blinked at the kiss, surprised at how quickly they deepened it. Hm, they don't kiss me like that. "Did you bite me?" "Maybe." Morgan kissed him again before he could say something, all open mouthed and loud. I hadn't even realized I was whining until they broke away and shifted their gazes to me. "What?" Morgan stroked under my chin. "You want some attention too?" I nodded and he smiled. "Alright, come here." He patted his thigh again, wanting me to sit in his lap this time, so I greedily did just that, not wasting any time as I seated myself flush against him. While staring at his neck, I felt that familiar, overwhelming urge again. "Can I scent you?" "...Um-" Morgan looked over at Caesar with raised eyebrows, "Yeah?" "You don't want me to?" "No, no. You can, just maybe on the floor or something." "What?" "What?" He looked adorably confused, and I maybe would've kissed him for it if I didn't feel just as confused. "Why would I do it on the floor?" "...Don't hybrids scent by peeing?" Caesar choked. My lips parted in shock. "You were gonna let me pee on you?" "..." "..." "I'm confused." "You're an idiot." Caesar smirked and Morgan scowled at hum. "He just wants to rub his scent on you. He's not a dog." "Oh." There was a soft hue of pink dusting his cheeks. Oh no, he was so cute. I cupped his cheeks and tilted his head towards me. "Can I? Please." My hand slid down and rubbed softly at his neck, silently showing him where I wanted to. He nodded mutely, giving me the permission I wanted, before I dipped my head down to rub my scent on him too. "Were you really gonna-" "I'll kill you, Caesar." "Everyone has their kinks." Morgan flipped him the bird before rubbing down my back. His hand slid under my shirt and lightly scratched at my bare skin, making my shiver. "You seem to be in a really good mood today." He commented after I pulled back. "I'm just happy to see you both." I sighed, maybe a little dreamily, and smiled. They showered me in attention and kisses until our clothes were somehow littering their apartment. Surprisingly, we didn't have s*x again. We always worked right up to it before they'd stop and work me back down with gentle pets and soft kisses. I was sure it was going to lead to it last night, with the way they both seemed to be especially turned on from the collar. "Hey," I dragged my attention to Audrey, "when did your girlfriend and you start having s*x?" She raised an eyebrow. "Like the day we met." "Hm," I drummed my fingers on my desk, "is it weird not to have s*x right away?" "No? Your boyfriends are human so it's different." "I guess..." Maybe it's because I clam up and get nervous anytime we move any further than a hand job. "Harrison!" My face was suddenly pushed into Chet's chest when he picked me up and started dragging me to the door. "Come on! We're gonna be there first, Audrey you too!" Our other classmates frowned. "What about us?" "Yes, yes! Everyone come on! We're gonna win this year, I can just feel it." - Chet frowned at the small circle of the art department. "Why is there only ten of us here?" "Audrey said you were in every event so a lot of them left." Carson trailed off, looking a bit pitiful. Chet's frown deepened before suddenly pulling into a wide grin. "Whatever, we can win with or without them. I'll carry us." He held up his arm and flexed his impressive muscle. The humans of course cooed and petted him anywhere they could reach. He basked in the praises and laughed happily. "Harrison and I can do it!" "W-What? Why me?" "'Cause we're best friends." My eyebrows shot, this was news to me. Just smile and nod. "Yeah, we'll do it." I glanced back to the other members. "Um, could you guys be in some events too? I don't think we can do all of them by ourselves..." "Of course! Leave it to us." My ears lowered when a handful of hands fell to my head to pet me. Humans. I smiled at them before plopping down on the field. Chet had dragged us all out here early, claiming he was too excited to stay still, which seemed to be true judging from the way he was running in place. Audrey plopped down next to me and snorted. "We're screwed." I smiled. "Definitely." "The sports department is gonna win again, obviously." I shivered at the thought of playing tug of war with them again. They'd dragged the whole art department in the mud in a matter of seconds last year. "At least it'll be funny to see Chet try so hard." I fixed the red headband on my head, signifying the art team, and glanced at her. "What events did you sign up for?" "I only signed up for soccer but since only ten of us showed up, we probably have to do a lot more." She didn't seem that bothered, a smile even tugged at her lips. Oh, maybe it was because her girlfriend was running over here at full speed, pink pigtails flying in the wind as she sported an ear splitting grin. I smiled at her and slid over to give them a little privacy. She was wearing a blue headband, meaning she was from the film department. Staring at all the events set up, suddenly had me feeling a little nervous. Nobody expected us to win or anything but their attention would surely be focused on Chet and I after his announcement. I clenched my fists and nodded to myself. I'll do my best. I didn't want to give them any reason to look down on hybrids. "Harrison~" Morgan's familiar scent quickly overwhelmed my senses, masking everything else, after he draped himself over my back. I tilted my head back to look at him and smiled. "You're early." He grinned right back and sat down next to me. "So are you." "Morgan." Declan sighed from behind us and dragged Morgan up by his shirt. "You've stopped to say hi to everyone you see." He glanced at me before doing a double take. "Harrison?!" I tilted my head. "Yeah?" "I was just surprised, I didn't know it was you." He laughed before looking between Morgan and I. "Actually- you can stay here." He didn't seem have any complaints as he sat back down while Declan gave me a very non discreet thumbs up. Oh my god, was he supporting home wrecking. "What're you doing?" Caesar came up behind them and I almost did a double take. Why did they have to be so good looking. When he saw me, a soft smile pulled at his lips. "Are you playing for your department?" I nodded and scratched my head sheepishly. "Um, not a lot of people showed up so I have to." "Hm." He crouched in front of me and pressed a water bottle to my cheek, making me let out a soft noise from the cold sensation. "Make sure to stay hydrated." And then he was ruffling my hair. "You'll do well." Morgan nodded and grinned. "We'll cheer you on." Please God, don't let me embarrass myself in front of them. I'll do anything, anyone but me. Caesar pointed at Morgan. "No hard feelings if he beats you." "Huh?" "Morgan's pretty excited for today. He loves sports, our department always makes him join these kinds of events." Morgan waved his hand around dismissively. "I won't beat you. I'll just win." I blinked at and smiled in confusion. "Okay?" Caesar leaned forward to whisper, knowing full well Morgan could still hear. "He's a sore loser. It's just better to let him win." "Asshole." Caesar smirked and stood back up. "Come on, we have to go sign in." He held out a hand to Morgan and hoisted him up. "Good luck~" He ruffled my hair and went to catch back up with Declan. Morgan squeezed my chin lightly. "You look nervous. It's just for fun, yeah? So, have fun." I gave him a weak smile and nodded. "If your department wins an event, I'll give you a treat~" My ears perked. "Really?" "Mhm, but you have to do your best." My fists clenched at my chest as I nodded quickly. "I'll do my best then!" He laughed airily and brushed my hair back. "Cute, I'd kiss you if your brother wasn't right there." "You can!" Morgan smirked and pinched my cheeks. "So eager~ I'll kiss you lots later, okay? And I'll give you that treat if you win something." We both startled when Chet's head snapped in our direction. "Treat?!" "Uh.." Morgan looked at me and then Chet before laughing awkwardly. "Yes?" Chet let out a huff and held up a fist. "We'll do our best." Pfft, I hid my laugh behind my hand while Morgan looked at a loss for words. He settled for also holding up a fist and pumped it awkwardly. He glanced down at me. "You have a lot of hybirds in your class." Though there were only four of us, that was considered a lot. "We're artsy beings." With a few more words exchanged, he waved goodbye and went to look for Caesar and Declan again. Chet clasped his hands together and gathered us together. "Okay, we'll win for sure this year! We just have to win most of the events, it shouldn't be too hard." - "Wow," Audrey breathed out in amazement, "I knew we were gonna crash and burn but this is kind of embarrassing." I subtly hid behind her, just to hide the matching headband as our teammates, and watched most of our classmates get dragged around. "This is worse than last year. We don't have a single point." "At least Chet's holding out pretty w-" Her mouth dropped open when he was suddenly tackled to the ground and the ball fell from his arms. The referee blew his whistle, pausing the mini game of football. They talked for a moment before Chet pointed in our direction, making Audrey and I startle. Please no, I'll do anything, please not me- "Harrison!" Chet ran up to us, ears lowered sadly, "He said I have to sit this out. Can you take my spot?" I looked to Audrey for help but she slid out of the way and gave me a sheepish look. "But-" He gave me puppy dog eyes while looking absolutely heartbroken that he couldn't participate in every event. "Okay, okay, please stop looking so sad." He instantly perked up. "Win for us! We'll cheer you on!" I gave him a weak smile and slowly dragged myself out onto the field. I flushed under everyone's gazes and chose a random spot next to one of my classmates. "Um," I scratched my cheek nervously, "I don't really know how to play." "Neither do we." The referee blew his whistle again and I jumped when the other department's players started running around. Oh, I blinked after watching them for a moment, so I just run after the ball. Mia let out a squeal of joy when the ball landed in her arms. A few guys stopped in front of her, looking awkward as they moved from foot to foot. "I'm just gonna..." One of them slowly moved his arms out and gently took the ball from her. "Sorry." He cringed before throwing it to another guy in a yellow headband. "Awe." She puffed her cheeks out and frowned at us. "Sorry guys." "That's the first time any of us besides Chet got the ball. Good job." Carson patted her shoulder. My eyes bugged out when I saw him get tackled later on in the game for just standing there. I wasn't safe anywhere. I gradually shuffled to the sidelines where it was safer and mentally prayed it would be over soon. I hadn't even realized I was by the film department's sidelines until someone was calling my name. Glancing over my shoulder, Caesar stood there with a light sheen of sweat covering his skin. He did participate in a lot of the events. He rested his arm on my head, and dipped his head to look at me. "Why aren't you playing?" "I'll die." His lips twitched up. "They're pretty competitive, huh?" I glanced at the field full of sweaty guys and my sad group of teammates. "Yeah.." "Just stay here." He smiled and played with a strand of my hair. "You did so well in the other events, you should rest a little." My lips pulled up from the praise as my tail started to wag. "Your team is doing really good." I glanced up, finding his dark eyes already on me. "You'll probably beat the sports department." "Maybe." He looked over at Morgan, who had just passed the ball to Declan, and smiled fondly. "I just sit back and let them do all the work." I nudged his side. "That's not true. You've played in a lot of events." He brushed me off modestly and slid his arm down to wrap it around my shoulder. The way he pulled me to him and stepped closer was discreet and silent as his chest pressed against my back. "Some of the departments are going drinking later, is yours going?" I flushed from how close we were but relaxed in his hold. "Really? I didn't know about it." "Do you wanna go with ours then?" I tipped my head up to look at him, knocking my head on his shoulder in the process. "Is it okay?" "Yeah, it's not a party or anything." "Can I bring some of my friends?" "Of course." He drummed his fingers on my chest absentmindedly. "You don't need to ask." "We'll go then." I uttered softly and looked back to the game. It, thankfully, looked like it was going to be over soon. "Will you get me a drink when we go?" Caesar looked confused for a moment before realization crossed his features. "I always forget you're underage." He laughed softly and petted my head. "I'll get you anything you want." My ears perked. "Seriously? I can have any drink?" He nodded earnestly. "Declan never lets me drink when we go out so I'll have their strongest drink." I nodded firmly and his lips twitched up. "I don't know about their strongest~" He teased. "Maybe something lighter since you don't really drink." My mouth opened to respond but- "Harrison!" Mia waved the ball around wildly while running in my direction. How did she get the ball again?? "Catch!" The guys around her hesitated to grab it, letting her run past them instead. Oh, that's how. "Um!" I hesitantly called back. "That's okay! You keep it!" She stopped a few feet away and threw the ball anyways, making my eyes widen. I caught it and just stood there, frozen. "Um.." The other guys stopped in front of me, still looking a little hesitant to grab it, probably since I was a hybrid. Morgan blinked in surprise when I shoved the ball into his chest. "Here!" His lips twitched up before he laughed. "Thanks, pup." He ruffled my hair before jogging off to continue to game. "Pup?" Declan eyed me with curiosity but didn't linger long, choosing to run off and finish the game instead. "Harrison." Mia whined at me, tail flicking sassily. "Do you know how hard that was to get? I had to go up and ask one of them for it and everything." Carson squeezed my shoulder solemnly. "You did what you had to." "I panicked." My cheeks burned from all the stares. They walked away hesitantly, after a few more exchanged words, not able to ignore Chet's yells from the sidelines. "You have a lot of hybrids in your class. We don't have any." I let out a huff of amusement. "Morgan said that too." I didn't think about it that often since I was one, but seeing hybrids might've been interesting for humans. "Do you like hybirds?" "Um, I like them a normal amount?" I laughed behind my hand at Caesar's confused face. "I guess that was a weird question." "I like you." His hands found their way to my hips and squeezed softly. "Why do you ask?" "I don't know." I shrugged before my ears twitched from the referees whistle, signifying the game was over. "Humans treat us a lot differently, so I was just curious." He hummed in understanding. "I think it's because there's not many of them. I don't fetishize them, if that's what you're asking." "I know you don't," my head tilted up, "mostly older people do, I don't really worry about people our age thinking of me like that." "Our age? You're basically a baby." "You're only three years older than me!" "Hm, what's that? You don't want me to buy you a drink later?" My cheeks puffed out. "Nothing." He let out of a huff of amusement and stepped back when Morgan and Declan started coming back over. "Harrison~" Morgan grinned and gave Caesar a fist bump since they won. "Did you see? I killed it out there." "His ego is gonna be like this all day." Caesar's lips twitched into a smirk. Morgan opened his mouth but Caesar stopped him. "Yes, yes. You did amazing, babe. I'm gonna think about it for years to come." "Damn right you are." Morgan shook out his hair and retied it in a low ponytail. "Your team is so cute, Harrison. You guys support each other a lot, ours just yells and curses." "Are you talking about me?" Morgan waved Declan off and went to wipe his sweat off with his shirt. I had to force my eyes away from his defined stomach. "At least you guys win." "Harrison~" Declan frowned. "Don't say that." "Say what?" I blinked. "You guys won?" "Well- yeah but.." He trailed off and went deep into thought. Caesar smirked and nudged my side. "I think your friends want you." I glanced over to see Chet waving his arms wildly while yelling my name. Kill me. "Um," I looked at Morgan and Caesar hesitantly, "I'll just-" I threw a thumb over my shoulder and slowly started to shuffle away. "See you later!" Before I could walk away, there was a smack on my ass that had me jumping in surprise. When I turned around, both their backs were suspiciously facing away from me so I couldn't even tell who it was. Though, Declan's jaw was unhinged so I'm assuming it was Caesar. He probably would've given me another not-so-secretive thumbs up if it were Morgan. When I got back to my friends, Audrey smirked at me. "So-" "Shut up."
