Falcon POV It was a vampire lord, a being that rarely revealed themselves. He blended in with the Frey, lurking in the shadows. When he grabbed me, a searing pain had coursed through my body, as if my bones were shattering. But I gritted my teeth and endured it, knowing that I had made a grave mistake. Katya could feel my pain and was suffering too. I had thought we had the advantage, with Tom and Nate, my top warriors, by my side. They were skilled fighters and had always supported me. But with this powerful lord and his stronger vampire allies joining the fray, we were in trouble. Still, I had to press on. I had to protect Katya and the kingdom from these vile creatures. Just as several vampires were about to attack me, something extraordinary happened. The ground trembled beneath our feet, and a blinding light engulfed us, its intense heat searing my fur. It was as if the sun or even the moon had crashed onto the earth. A deafening explosion followed, accompanied by the shattering of glass. I was forced to shift back into my human form, and it took me a few minutes to regain my footing. As I surveyed the scene, I saw that the vampires had either fled or lay dead. The remaining rogues were sprawled on the ground, unconscious and back in their human forms. Tom and Nate struggled to sit up, their bodies now human too. Confused and disoriented, I turned towards the car, only to hear Maeve's frantic screams. She was yelling, "Katya!" My heart raced as I saw the shattered windows of the car. I stumbled towards it, my legs weak and unsteady. Maeve was desperately trying to wake Katya, her skin splattered with blood from the broken glass. Small cuts covered her body, some still embedded in her skin. Blood trickled from her nose and mouth, and her breathing was ragged. Without hesitation, I climbed into the car, pulling Katya's fragile body against mine. My nakedness didn't matter in that moment; all that mattered was her well-being. Nate got into the backseat, and Tom took the driver's seat. They didn't need to be told what to do; they knew we had to get Katya medical help, and fast. All I could do was hold her close, hoping that being pressed against me would somehow provide comfort and aid her recovery. "What happened?" I finally managed to speak, my voice filled with worry and confusion. Maeve shook her head, her voice trembling, "I don't have a clue, Falcon. I mean, well, it was Katya. She, well, something happened, you see." Nate reached out and grabbed Maeve's hand, trying to offer comfort. "Falcon, she saw them about to hurt you again, and it was like something... changed in her, or took over her. I have no idea. She screamed, and then a burst of blinding light exploded from her. Her whole body was glowing, it was insane. Not normal at all. Even a witch couldn't do something like that. What the hell is she, Falcon? There's no way she's just blessed. I mean, yeah, she smells like a human, but no human is capable of that." I listened intently, my mind racing to make sense of it all. "So, you're telling me that explosion... it was Katya. She stunned a vampire lord and stopped all the enemies?" I asked, trying to comprehend the magnitude of what Maeve was saying. "Yes," she admitted, her voice filled with urgency. I looked down at Katya, cradled in my arms. "I need everyone's help in this car. As you've all witnessed, we need to uncover the truth about Katya, and we can't allow anyone to get their hands on her." Maeve's words struck a chord with me. "We all understand. Not only is she your Luna, Falcon, but she has become a fast friend to me as well. And if she falls into the wrong hands... she could be used as a weapon against us," she pointed out, her voice laced with concern. Determined, I vowed, "I won't let that ever happen. I'm starting to believe our earlier assumption. I do believe Katya is originally from this world, and perhaps her parents brought her to the human world. But for me, at least, a price had to be paid. I wonder what they paid to leave or if their was the crash. Or did something else follow them? I believe on the day Katya claims they went camping, they actually traveled from this world. That's why she has memories of her mother acting strange. I don't know if those who tormented her in her world knew the full extent of what she is. Maybe she really is just a human gifted with strange powers. But I fear that if we don't learn the truth soon, it will only bring her harm. We need to know how to keep her safe. Or rather, I need to know. The Moon Goddess trusted me with her, and I refuse to let the Goddess or Katya down," I declared, my determination ringing in my voice. "Falcon, what if she is not just blessed?" Maeve pondered, her voice filled with uncertainty. "I mean, she had the mark, but what if maybe she is part goddess? It may explain that crazy display of power. And it's not like we know what a goddess's scent is. All we've read is that they were much like humans, other than the power. Katya, she said her mother made it sound as if the relationship she had with her father was forbidden. I mean, it could be possible that a goddess fell in love with a mortal, and Katya, well, she is the result of that." I considered Maeve's words carefully, "Perhaps, but for now, let's keep these ideas to ourselves. Although I wish to remain open with Katya, I also don't want to overwhelm her. She is doing better than I thought she would, adjusting here, but I still wish to tread carefully." "Understood and wise," Maeve admitted, the car falling into silence. The sound of Katya's steady breathing filled the air as I held her close. As we approached the pack lands, Nate alerted them of our arrival with an injured human. Immediately, we were escorted to rooms, and a pack doctor was sent to mine. I insisted on staying with Katya, not wanting them to discover anything about her mark. I wouldn't even allow them to lift her, just checking her vitals and assuring her healing. Though skeptical, they didn't question me, recognizing my position as the prince. Finally, they assured me that she would be fine, bringing some relief. Maeve offered to watch over Katya as I slept, but I knew she needed rest as well. Reassuring her that I would be fine, I climbed into bed with Katya, positioning her against me and watching over her. At some point, sleep claimed me, but I had no idea how long it lasted. When I woke, two things became apparent. Ash had shifted and taken control, and Katya was underneath us, awake and laughing, completely unclothed. "Explain," I snapped at Ash. "I was healing, mate," he spoke. Through his eyes, I watched as her smile illuminated the room, brightening even the darkest corners. Her skin bore small cuts and bruises, a painful reminder of the harm she had endured. Yet, despite it all, she appeared fine. "Good job, Ash," I commended, acknowledging his vigilant watch over her. The significance of the time he had spent with her was evident in his emotions. It was clear that Katya was accepting him, revealing her desire for him as much as for me. It was a gift for someone who had not grown up among my kind to accept us so readily. Ash relinquished control, allowing me to shift back, still lingering protectively over her. Her eyes widened momentarily, but her smile remained steadfast. "Falcon, is that you now?" she questioned, seeking confirmation. "Yes, it is," I responded, unable to resist the pull of connection. I leaned in and kissed her, craving the intimacy that only she could provide. She eagerly accepted, moving her lips against mine, her hands exploring my hair as she pulled herself closer. Tonight, once again, I felt a surge of unfamiliar fear. It was an emotion I was unaccustomed to, one that Katya had ignited within me. My fear for her safety and my desire to keep her by my side forged an incredibly strong bond between us. Her hands continued to explore my body, igniting a fire within me that burned brighter than ever before. I had to keep my cool. She had just been injured, and the thought of making love to her now made me worry about hurting her. But my desire for her was overwhelming, and I struggled. Breaking the kiss, I gently placed my hand on hers. "You inspected me, so it's only fair I do the same to you. I want to make sure you're not hurt as well," she said with a mischievous smirk on her face. "It's hard to say no when you look so cute right now." I admitted. She pushed me down on the mattress, her hands slowly moved against my body, sending waves of warm pleasure through me. I was rendered speechless, completely under her spell. As she trailed kisses along my skin, I savored the amazing feeling mixed with a tinge of torture. I longed to pin her underneath me, but my concern for her healing held me back. A growl escaped my chest as she continued, her hand now gripping my member. I tried to speak her name, but all that came out was another growl. What had she done to me? No one had ever made me feel this way before. In that moment, I felt more like a puppy dog than a fierce wolf. And then she did something unexpected. Something I would never have anticipated, nor would I have ever pressured her for. Her mouth wrapped around my arousal, and a moan escaped my lips. "Katya," I groaned, unable to contain my pleasure. She started to suck on me, moving her tongue in a way that drove me wild. "You know, connecting intimately with mate may help her cuts heal," Ash reminded me, his voice breaking through the haze of pleasure. "You just want her right now," I responded to him, my voice strained even in my mind. But he was right. I wanted her just as badly. As she deep-throated me, I gently pushed my hands on her, stopping her. She looked up at me, her eyes filled with concern. "Did I do something wrong?" she asked, her voice laced with worry. "Far from it, Katya," I assured her, my voice filled with desire. "You don't know how good that felt, but I want to finish inside of you.” I took control, guiding her beneath me. As I touched her and kissed her, she squirmed and clawed at the fabric, her gasps and moans filling the air. "Falcon," she breathed, her voice laced with desire. "Does Ash feel this connection too when not in control?" she asked, her voice a mix of curiosity and anticipation. "Yes," I replied. "Will you feel the connection when he takes control?" she inquired. "Yes," I confessed, our bodies were one, sharing identical sensations. "Then let Ash assume control," she demanded. In my mind, his joyous howl reverberated , echoing my own happiness at her desire. With a smile, I yielded to her request, granting Ash complete dominance over my human form, knowing he would handle her with utmost care. As Ash positioned himself and entered her, pleasure cascaded through me, mingling with an overwhelming sense of joy. Grateful beyond words, I marveled at this girl, my mate, my love, who embraced every aspect of me. She was perfect, and Ash and I would forever cherish her.
