My birthday was drawing so close, in a month time I will be eighteen and I will be meeting my wolf for the first time. Mum has been so busy preparing for it and I told her I wanted it to be more special than Scott's because I will be leaving our pack and moving into a new pack, into a new family to become their luna.

Checking my time, it was 5 am. I had woken up before my alarm today, I looked at the mirror and then smiling to myself before I went to the bathroom to go get cleaned up. Today finally I would be the one tearing the house down before some jackass wakes up.

I grin at my image in the mirror once more before checking the temperature of the water. When I was done taking my bath, I blow-dried my hair before leaving for my room where I put on black baggy trousers, a fitted black crop top and of course my black converse to match and I quickly applied a dark smokey eye shadow and a red lipstick. Checking my time it was 6:20 am. Time to go yell down the house.

I went straight to Scott's room and knocking on the door, when I heard no response I knew he was still sleeping

“Wake up jackass, the almighty alpha of silver crest pack, get your lazy ass and get ready for school, you are going to make us late” I yelled at the top of my voice, “Scott rain, Scott get up this instant“

“Becca for once allow me to sleep,” he said grumbling through the closed door

“Hell no, this is my time to make you miserable. You always wake me up when I am sleeping. It's my turn now!"

The door to his room opened and I was face to face with Annabel who had a towel around her chest.

“He is yours to destroy, I give you my go ahead,” she told me and I immediately ran into his room to jump on him.

“Wake up, it's 6:40 am, we are going to be late,” I screeched into his ears.

“Is this the payback you plan on giving me?” he asked me

“Yeah it is, don't let me go late to school because of you or I might eat you up for lunch,” I told him before leaving his room. I hurried downstairs to see my mum making breakfast, that was strange she hardly prepared breakfast, lunch or anything except it was a special day.

“Good morning mum, what's the occasion?” I asked her as I took a bite from the pancake she made.

"Hmmm this is delicious” I told her

   “Morning to you sweetheart, nothing I woke up on time and I wanted to get my hands busy with something. Do you like it? Glad I still have the touch” she said smiling to herself, “why are you dressed already, let me guess Scott?”

  “No, that jackass is still fast asleep. Let's say I woke up on the bright side of the bed this morning, can I take another slice please? I don't think I can wait for everybody with this aroma that is killing me” I pleaded with her

  “Sure you can, I will pack some for you guys to eat at school today, in case you don't want to eat lunch at school”

   “Really mum? This is why I love you so much,” I said giving her a big hu

Just then, there was a knock on the door, “that should be Robert,” I told mum.

   “Go open the door for him, I guess I need to add another pack for him,” she said and I smiled as I went to open the door for him.

   “Good morning Robert,” I said greeting him with a smile

   “Good morning Becks, hmm what's that delicious aroma?” asked Robert

    “Mum is making some pancakes,” I told him

    “Luna?” he asked looking all shocked and surprised

    “Trust me I had that same look on my face when I came downstairs and saw her,” I told him allowing him to enter the house

    “Wow I better go greet her first and you, you need to tell me what happened to you that you are fully dressed this morning on time before the early birds,” he said before heading towards the kitchen

   “I do get up early once in a while, it's not a new thing, you all should stop acting surprised like as if it's  a new thing,” I said walking behind him.

   “It is to me, I am amazed that's all,” he said and bowing down to greet my mum as soon as he got to the kitchen “good morning luna Stacey”

  “Good morning Robert, hope you slept well?” luna Stacey asked

   “Yes I did” he replied smiling

   “Had breakfast yet?” mum asked him

   “No ma'am”

   “I told you no calling me ma'am or luna Stacey just mum, you are my son. Be patient a little let's hope the rest wakes up on time so we could all eat together” mum told him

   “Thank you, ma- mum,” he said, mum used her hand to tell us to leave her kitchen and we did as we walked to the sitting room to sit down.

   “Mind telling me why you are awake this early?”

   “Give it a rest, this isn't the first time for me,” I told him

   “It's just that I can't remember the last time you woke up this early”

   “Fine I will be a changed person from now on,” I told him

    ”is that my princess's voice I heard just now?” came my dad’s voice as he climbed down the stairs, dressed in a suit. I guess he is going out for a meeting

    “Good morning dad” I greeted him

    “Goodmorning alpha Liam ” greeted Robert

    “Dad to you young man, hope you slept well?” dad asked him

   “Yes dad” he replied

    “And you princess?” dad asked kissing me on my forehead

    “I slept okay all thanks to your comfort,” I told him

    “Oh are you sure about that?” asked dad

    “Yeah dad, why are you sounding like I ain't sure of my response?” I asked him

     “Hmm, nothing. You woke up very early today, I thought something was wrong. Wait is it your brother again?” asked dad, Robert couldn't control it again as he burst out laughing

    “Why is everyone asking the same question as if it's a crime for me to wake up early”

    “For someone like you, it's a huge crime,” Scott said as he climbed down the stairs with Annabel behind him

   “Jeez I hate you”

   “Good morning dad and mum” they both greeted

    “Mum what's the occasion? You hardly cook” asked Scott

    “Nothing, I wanted to get busy today, you all should sit down. Breakfast is ready” mum said, Annabel and I went over to assist mum in setting the table. For the first time in history, we all ate out breakfast in silence, that's was a bit strange as it looked awkward to me

    “Robert when are you moving in with us?” asked my dad as soon as we were done with breakfast and the maid came clearing the table

   “On Friday dad, just want to help my parents and my brother with the things remaining at home before leaving,” he said

  “Okay that is understandable, I am tired of having more women in this house” dad said and which aroused a mumbling from mum, Annabel and me. He immediately smiled then apologized.

   “Okay you guys better leave, you all don't want to be late,” mum said handling each one of us a food flask for lunch, thanking her we all went into the car and dad drove off.

  When we got to the school gate, we waved dad goodbye before heading inside and the first person I saw was my crush, my heartbeat Edward Stark with that blonde b***h still hovering over him like a leech.

  “Scott, Robert l have something to show. Come let's go. ” he said dragging both Robert and the blind along. Just like that he ignored me as if he didn't turn me to his bell girl and made me miss an important birthday party that Annabel told me was lit and was actually the talk of the school. He still owes me an apology and yet, he is acting as if we didn't cross path.

  “I am going to kill him,” I said out loud to no one in particular

   “Let it go,” Annabel said while patting my back, “There is nothing we can do, come let's hurry to class, we don't want to miss anything today. Don't let him ruin your day. I need that bright smile again my little princess,” she said teasing me with the nickname my dad gave to me and I could help but laugh.

“There, there, that's what I am looking for. Come on let's go,” she said holding my hand as we walked into the school holding hands.

   Throughout the class, I couldn't concentrate. My eyes kept dragging towards him unknowingly and I ended giving up on listening in class. My focus was on him and him alone, at least the blonde wasn't in the same class as the both of us and I couldn't help but look how amazing he is, just jotting down things made him look like an angel. My angel alone.

Then the bell for school over rang startling me and checking the time it was 4 pm.

How on earth did the time fly by do quickly?

Checking my notes I saw that there was not a single ink mark was written on it. I had used all my time today gushing over Edward Stark. The worst thing is that I didn't understand a thing that was taught today because of my obsession over a guy I am not going to have, but kissing him won't be a bad thing. That's the only thing I need right now. Just a kiss from him and my life would definitely be better.

 "Um..Anna?” I called out to her

  “Yeah, what's up?” she asked me

  “I think I have lost it”

   “How?”

   “I spent all my today gushing over Edward Stark and I didn't take down any notes or even hear a thing the teachers taught. I think I am going insane,” I told her pulling at my hair.

  “Now you know you have totally lost it, don't let Scott find out or your parents will too, I will give you my notes and explain everything to you during our one hour reading,” she said patting me on the back.

  “Thank you, love,” I told her hugging her tight as we head in the direction of the library. That's our normal routine in school, we close exactly 4 pm but we will go to the library or anywhere quiet where we can read till 5 pm. That's when they will allow you to leave the school premises except on Fridays. Annabel and I prefer reading in the library because it was quiet and we could understand better while Scott, Robert, and Edward always preferred using the field. I tried it once but I couldn't concentrate because of Edward so I decided to be far away from him if I want to come up from the fifth to first position.

Annabel is very good at explaining, she explained everything in a way I could understand. When she was done, she continued with her reading while I took the remaining minutes to update my notes, I was a fast writer and before the bell rang for dismissal of students, I was done.

It took three more minutes before the bell rang, we packed our things and went out of the school gate to meet the driver who was waiting for us.

Greeting him we went inside, when he was driving by the walkway, I saw the blonde hugging Edward so tight and I felt my heart was going to stop. I tried controlling the tears that were about falling but couldn't, I leaned my head on the window and wept softly so that no one would notice that I was crying.

I was a fool, crying for someone who didn't care about my existence.

Please let my birthday come quickly so that I can find my mate and forget about him forever.
