‘Apologising when you are wrong helps to mend the relationship between you and the person.’ Kim Osas.
REBECCA
Mother said; Always apologize when you are wrong, but I did nothing wrong. All I did was getting drunk at the club. I didn't ask him to drive me home neither did I tell him to take me to my room, he did that at his own will. Why am I being punished for the good he did for me?
I have just today to apologize to him or I will be grounded for two more weeks for a crime I know nothing about. Here I am standing in front of my crush not knowing what to say to him.
“Can I help you?” Edward asked.
His voice got a huge effect on me and I can't control myself from being flustered around him, I hope he doesn't smell my turn on for him.
“I - I - I came to - to - to apologize to you.” I stammered.
“Apologise for what?” He asked staring at me.
“For getting got drunk last Friday night and throwing up in your car..., but it wasn't intentional and I didn't ask for your help. I was okay until you came along, if you hadn't taken me in your car I won't have to apologize to you.” I flared up at him.
“Wow is this what you call an apology?" This is like throwing words at someone or putting blame on someone else for being a lousy drunk.” The blonde bi.ch who was always beside Edward fired.
Every step he takes the bi.ch was always there but how the hell did she get here, last time I check Edward was alone.
“I wasn't referring to you," I replied the arrogant b***h.
"I am sorry Edward, for what happened.”
I apologized sincerely, bowing my head in shame.
“Apology not accepted.” He said standing up from his seat.
Edward is way taller than I am. I had no choice but to raise my head to look at him with surprise written all over my face.
“But why? I just told you I am sorry. Okay, fine sorry for speaking to you rudely before. I am deeply sorry.” I begged to clap my hands together to plead with him.
I knew if I don't get his acceptance today, my two weeks of been grounded is inevitable.
“I know you are only apologizing because your mum forced you to and it's not coming from your heart. Let's say being grounded for two weeks will help me a lot. If I accept your apology I will benefit nothing. So tell me what should I do?” He asked.
Curse you Scott Rain. I knew you told him about what mum said, when I am done with Edward stark I am so going to post a flier. 'Brother for sale come buy at a cheap rate'.
For now, I have to face the enemy at my front, for today I have to label him one because he is the one holding my future in his hands.
“What you should do is forgive me, it's as simple as that and we can both go our various ways peacefully.” I pleaded.
“And get nothing in return, I don't think so,” he said shaking his head.
“So what do you want in return?” I asked this time fuming with anger.
'Keep calm Becca, you don't want to provoke him more. Being grounded means you can't leave the house once it's 4 pm. You won't be able to go out and experience the amazing life of being a teenager.' I told myself.
Hearing it from other people sucks. I always want to be there when the good stuff is happening. I hate being told about it. Now he is planning on ruining it for me.
“Earth to you Rebecca,” Edward said flipped his fingers at my face.
“What?”
“I guess you spaced out, I said let's strike a deal.” He suggested with a smirk on his face.
“What's the deal about?” I asked, curious about the devilish plan going through his mind.
“You will get my lunch for me, do my assignments, and also help me take down notes for the supposed two weeks you are meant to be grounded.”
“Wait, that's not fair? It's a lot of workloads for me to handle.” I tried negotiating.
“That's my option for you. You either do that or you are grounded for two weeks." He let out a devilish laugh. "Oh, I heard Mason is throwing a party at his place, too bad you are going to miss it, I bet Scott and Annabell will fill you in on it.” He increased the stupid laughter almost causing a scene.
‘You little devil.’ I cursed under my breath.
I'll do anything for my freedom.
Doing your stuff for two weeks ain't gonna be as difficult as sitting at home with my parents alone, listening to boring pack news from them that can send one to one's early grave.
“Fine, I accept. I will get you lunch, do your assignment and jot down notes for you. Just say you accept my apology. Please.” I made a cute face.
“Is that a deal?” he asked.
“Yeah, big deal,” I said nodding in affirmation.
“A handshake on it then?” He asked stretching his hands forwards and I accepted it.
“No going back on your words?”
“Not at all,” I assured him.
“Fine, I accept your apology. It was your fault you got drunk last night and you're right. I should have minded my business and not take you in my car, I would have avoided spending my entire Sunday trying to get rid of your vomit from my car. So apology accepted.” He said breaking the handshake abruptly.
“Wait, can you say the apology accepted again let me quickly put it on record so my mum would believe I apologized and you've accepted it?” I asked bringing out my phone from my handbag
“Sure.” He replied collecting the phone from me and repeating the same words after opening the sound recorder app.
After saving the recorded file, he dialed his number on my phone and called his number before handing the phone over to me.
“When I call you, make sure you pick and come running to me. Failure to do so, you leave me with no option other than to tell your mum you bullied me into accepting your apologies. Farewell, young Rain.” He said walking away with the blonde b***h.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh, I hate Edward Stark,” I yelled out to Annabel as I returned to my seat.
“I guess it didn't go well, seeing how furious and ready you are to have someone's head chopped off. What happened between the two of you?” Annabel asked.
“I went over to apologize to him and he said no he won't accept my apology because my mum forced me to do so and --”
“Wait a minute how did he know about that?” she asked cutting me in the middle of my words.
“Your mate of course with his blabbering mouth must have told him everything. Anyways I was forced to strike a deal with him.” I said resting my head on the table.
“The sound of your voice doesn't make it seem like it was a good deal,” she said
“It wasn't! I'm meant to get him his lunch, do his assignment and also take down notes for him when in class and that's not all."
She adjusted giving me a surprised look.
I'm expected to come running to him whenever he calls my phone. That's like an errand boy sorry make it girl in my case.” I said.
“This is the end of me.”
“I guess that's the only option for you to be free from being grounded.”
“Yeah it is but I will be trapped with him. How am I going to control myself around him and that bi.ch always gluing herself to him? Should I go back and revoke the deal?” I asked Annabel
“No the deal is done, don't worry I will help you with the notes and the assignments but you have to do the others.” She offered.
“Awwww thank you cupcake, what would I have done without you?” I said her holding her close to me.
“Let's go home, your brother is waiting for us,” she said pointing to the dumbass who was waving at us.
Our ride home was a bit noisy as we argued over everything that happened and how angry I was about him exposing everything to Edward.
He apologized and we settled.
That's it about Scott and me, we argued and made peace with each other before getting home or mum will force us to stare at each other for hours till we start declaring our love to each other and I won't be doing that with him anytime soon.
When we got home, mum was waiting for us and I immediately showed her the proof of Edward's forgiveness. She smiled and told me that the punishment has been lifted.
Big news! Now I can get ready for Mason’s birthday party.
What I didn't know was that my hell just started and going to the party wasn't going to be approved.
