Cassian Darkness is a state of being. Of being cold and constricted; of being fearful of the unknown around you. And it is a sense of hopelessness of ever having anything better. I tried to open my eyes and failed before realizing they were open. Most night skies were the darkest of greys, but this one was pure black. It was like someone shut off the stars and moon. Searching through the dark, I saw nothing, not even those dreadful red eyes. I can’t remember except the light blinding me and those voices that faded soon. Waking up in a place I am not familiar with, scared the s**t out of me. The rodents and insects were creeping me out here. But what terrified me the most was that I am not able to ignite my powers. Something went down inside me as I can no longer feel that adrenaline rus
