Chapter 13
Madison and Erica were the first to arrive, but it wasn’t long before their reserved table filled up. They were a lively group, asking questions about Paige and Madison’s trip south and talking about the activities going on around town. By the time Rebecca and Nathan arrived, the first round of appetizers was devoured and the pizza orders taken. As he pulled out a chair for Rebecca to sit in, Nathan apologized for their lateness.
“We were test driving a few cars for Rebecca here, and she got a little carried away doing donuts in the parking lot. This one is quite the daredevil.”
“Oh, come on Nathan, it wasn’t that bad. Besides, we found the perfect car. Paige, you will love it,” Rebecca protested.
