“Do you want me to go in with you?” Aunt Syd says to me as we sit down.
I shrug. “if you want. You might get to see the baby,” I tell her. We are in the waiting room of the royal hospital. It is my second check-up, and today is the first ultrasound.
It's been about three weeks since I left Atlas. I returned to the royal palace to take my place in the Royal Elite Guard, but I could not train due to my pregnancy. For now, I have been working with the trainers and helping them with the warriors. About a week ago, I started experiencing morning sickness. Only it lasts all day. I can barely keep anything down, which has weakened me to where I can’t train how I would like to. It has frustrated me to the point where I thought about aborting the baby.
