18 Geeta was scanning the room with slow deliberation, not looking the patrons in their faces but observing every detail of the space. Scout followed her gaze, noting the balcony that overlooked the main room, the empty booth in the corner farthest from that balcony, a table just being abandoned by a pair of traders. “Did he want to meet you alone?” Scout asked, remembering that morning in the marketplace. “I think so,” Seeta said. She also was looking around the room with a small frown. “I don’t see him.” “He’ll come to you,” Geeta guessed. “Take a seat in that booth with your back to the balcony.
