I don’t know why an emergency meeting was suddenly called but I knew I had to be there and I didn’t have the time to think about anything else while rushing to get to the office before my dad does. I felt anxious for some reason I couldn’t fathom.
“What’s it all about?” I asked Emily who seem to be waiting for me in front of the house with my car ready,
“I think your brother is up to something again. The board of directors had a unanimous vote to fully evaluate you this morning. Though you have commended and rewarded those who have always stood by your father, I don’t think it would be enough to convince them that you are good enough as the heir to your father’s immense fortune” Emily explained before we stepped into the car.
