Chapter 08

Bennet now dressed as a Commander arrives along with a few members of the Union on the Spaceship which is fully captured by the UN. They walk to the containment cells where Dylan and Cyrus are imprisoned. "More than 27,000 of lives were lost... all because of you (goes closer to Victor Cyrus)" said the Commander Bennett.

"Bennet? Am I glad to...? Wait what are you wearing?" asked Dylan as he observes Bennett's outfit. "Not the time kid." said Bennett "Nilus, or is it Bennett now? You finally embraced it haven’t you? And you’re the Commander too? Why am I not surprised." said Cyrus. "You made a big mistake here, you know that?" said Commander Bennett.

"Listen to me, there is no time to talk we must prepare the defenses, the aliens are coming." said Dylan. "What he said, except for the alien part anyway." said Victor. "All defenses are prepared and ready to engage, the Protocol 7 is active thanks to you. ”What's Protocol 7?" asked Victor.

"You must be out of your mind if you think Protocol 7 could stop them." replied Dylan. “Wait you know about Protocol 7 too?” asked Victor turned at Dylan.

“Yeah, how did you know about that?” asked Commander Bennett. “It’s bit of a long story, one that involves sneaking in your office with Mike once.” Said Dylan. “Sneaking in? Sure does remind us of her doesn’t he?” asked Victor to Bennett which a smile. “Yup, definitely anyway, like I said, protocol 7 is active, we are safe, for now.” Replied Commander Bennett.  "What's protocol 7 again?" asked Victor

"It’s a protocol we put when things go to s**t, you’ll see soon enough what it is, remember the last time I said that?" asked Commander Bennett. "Shut up, both of you shut up, stop making reference that I don’t understand, were you too a couple or something?" asked Dylan furiously who was ignored constantly by both. Both of them turn towards Dylan. “No!” responded in chorus.

But then something else catches their attention as they see a horde of bounty hunter ships arrive from hyperspace. "Who are these guys?" asked Dylan. "Dang it! Tell lieutenant to engage the ships now!" said Commander Bennett. The battle starts as several of the Spaceships drops out of camouflage and then more bounty Hunter ships drops out of FTL. The Military spaceships launches drones to destroy the fleet.

 It manages to destroy some of the ships but several of the bounty hunter ships pass through and crashes directly on the Spaceships. "Sir, we have hostiles in bound." said the lieutenant through comm. "Looks like your questions going to have to wait kid, free the inmates we gonna have our hands full." said the Commander. 

Hearing this, the soldiers obey and release both of them.

 "Get him as far away from here as possible." said Commander who then takes a power core from his armor and throws it onto Dylan which attaches itself to him and activates weaponry systems as part of his outfit. "How in the hell." said Dylan.

 "Dylan come on, we have to go." said Victor who drags Dylan with him. "How do you and Bennett know each other?" asked Dylan while being dragged. "He used to work for your father." replied Victor. "What?" said Dylan.

Meanwhile at the Mothership in Legion's Fleet which is heading towards Earth...

Irvikh Cragnih practices in combat while experiencing traumatic memories he had during his exile. He tries to regain himself back to the present but he keeps remembering them.

In rage he throws his sword to the left side of him where it hits the wall inches away from his puppet minion who has arrived at the scene to inform him about the bounty hunters. "Apologies my king, but there seem to be a bit of disturbance caused by those filthy beings, perhaps it is best if we...” said the puppet before he was interrupted by Irvikh.

"No, for too long I've been trying to run away from my destiny, now I will have what I always meant to have, there shall be no changes, we proceed as planned." said Irvikh. "Yes, my king." said the puppet. "This is my time now, I will rise as the next Dra'king of the Legion." said Irvikh.

Moments later in the Command Room in UN Captured Spaceship…

Commander Bennett and his military forces of the UN defend as the bounty hunters fight their way into the Command Room along with their leader, Paddlock, the infamous mercenary.

"Pads?" said Commander Bennett who begins to remember Paddlock from the past. "Aww yeah baby, you didn't think I would be... (he turns back to see Bennett) "Wait who are you?" asked Paddlock.

"It's me, Bennett, you don't remember me? Remember Vorag? The drink we had." said Commander Bennett. "Vorag? Huh? Nope." replied Paddlock. "Oh, come on, don’t you remember the drinks I brought you even though you lost the race, don't tell me you don't remember any of that?" said Commander Bennett.

"Wait a second... Oh yeah, you're the bastard that screwed my bike during the race and made me lose in that." replied Padlock. "What? Nonsense, I didn't screw your bike." replied Commander Bennett. "Then what were you doing with it?" asked Paddlock.

"I was upgrading it, you didn't even say thank you for that." replied Commander Bennett. "The bike crashed... how am I supposed to... wait why are we talking about this?" asked Paddlock. "Why, because... Because, well, you were the one started it." said Commander Bennett.

 Just then Padlock receives a transmission. "Hold on give me a sec (he activates the transmission) what's going on over there?" asked Paddlock in the comm.

"Boss, the bounty, they got away, they're in the..." replied bounty hunter through the comm so loudly that even Bennett heard it.

 "That's all I wanted to hear." said Command Bennett as he begins to engage Paddlock.

Paddlock deflects some of his attacks. "What are you doing?" asked Paddlock while deflecting. "Isn't it obvious, I am attacking." said Commander Bennett. "But we were talking." said Paddlock.

Suddenly Commander Bennet strikes a full force attack on him which Paddlock successfully deflects."Ha, you think you can beat me Benny?" said Paddlock. "I don't need to, because I already did." replied Commander Bennett as he activates the switch which denotes the mines which he managed to put inside Paddlock's jacket.

"Uh oh." said Paddlock. The mines detonate and Paddlock blasts into pieces.

"I think I am starting to like this role." said Commander Bennett. Meanwhile Dylan and Victor managed to reach the ship only to find themselves surrounded by Bounty Hunters who has already drawn their weapons against them.

"Dylan, get behind me." said Victor Cyrus who engages the hunters, he manages slices each and every one of them using their own weapons despite being outnumbered and unarmed. They managed to get into their ship from the hangars and successfully escape the compromised Spaceship and head far away from there.

"Yes, we did it." said Dylan happily. "No, we didn't, like I told you, the ship is not built for outer space, it's only a matter of time before we..." replied Victor before was interrupted by Dylan.”You didn't tell me that." replied Dylan. "Well I am telling you, now right? Oh s**t. (the Legion fleet has just arrived from FTL and is right in front of them) we have to turn back." said Victor.

 "No, wait turn on camouflage and head right on" said Dylan. "Are you insane? Their ships will detect us even if we...." replied Victor furiously. "They may see us but they don't know us, right? Their target is Earth right now, not us right?" replied Dylan. "Well, alright then, here goes nothing." said Victor Cyrus as he proceeds according to Dylan's plan.

 The fleet ignores the ship and keeps heading towards Earth. "See? It worked." said Dylan. "Don't start celebrating yet, the oxygen is running low, if we keep going like this, we will die before reaching Ver'mont." said Victor.

"Then crash it on the Mothership (he points it out), they have oxygen, right?" asked Dylan. "Then what? We'll be completely outnumbered" replied. "Don't worry, I think I have a plan." said Dylan. Victor Cyrus then crashes the ship onto the Mothership of the Legion, then a group of Draiczuins who were patrolling the ship walks towards the ship with extreme caution hoping to find the intruders.

Luckily Dylan and Victor manages to get out of their ship undetected while activating the Self destruction sequence. As Draiczuins gets closer, the ship blasts and damages the mothership critically along with the Draiczuins while Dylan and Victor use this as a distraction to sneak into the air vents. "Now what?" asked Dylan. "You're asking me? What happened to… fine, we'll keep heading until we reach the control room. The fleet arrives to Earth where the Military captured spaceships devastated by the bounty Hunter's attacks resides.

The fleets engage the military as some of them helplessly crash into Earth. The Mothership of the Legion managed to get past the spaceship and enters Earth's atmosphere, it arrives into Earth along with a couple of legion's ships where they witness an Earth completely devastated by the attacks.

The Mothership proceeds towards the Legion's base currently in the province of Sindh. Then the ship lands inside the base, and the Irvikh Cragnih, the leader of the Legion arrives from the ship and heads into the base.
