Chapter 06

Chrissy who rides the car through the highway at rapid speed. "I AM STARTING TO THINK THIS WAS A BAD IDEA!" said Dylan frighteningly. "What?? I can't hear you!" replies Chrissy sarcastically. "SLOW DOWN THE CAR MAN!" speaks Dylan loudly. "Okay fine, you little cry baby." said Chrissy

Who then slows the car little bit "What? Afraid of a little speed?" asked Chrissy. "You call that little?" replied Dylan. "Why don't you drive then?" asked Chrissy.

"Umm... I would but...” said Dylan before interrupted by Chrissy. "You do know to drive, do you?" asked Chrissy “Yes, of course, but I don’t because..." said Dylan before being interrupted by Chrissy again who realized Dylan doesn't know to drive.

 "My God, I can't believe it, so that's why you walk along the street all the time." said Chrissy. "What's wrong with walking?" asked Dylan. "Dylan its 2067, why the hell didn't you learned it yet?" asked Chrissy. "I didn't think it's important at the time, besides I still got time, don't I?" replied Chrissy.

"You are 18." replied Chrissy. "So?" said Dylan. Chrissy chuckles. "My mom said she would teach me some day but then...” said Dylan.

"I... I am so sorry." said Chrissy. "Its fine." replied Dylan. "So how are things?" asked Chrissy. "Other than you trying to kill me, nothing really." replied Dylan. "So, whose car is this?" asked Dylan.

"It's... my dad's, he is not mostly around, looks like we got that in common." replied Chrissy. "Yeah, I guess we have." said Dylan. The two remains silent for a little while.

"So, Dylan, I am not the person who would do these weird kind of drama regular people do, when I wanna say something or ask something I’ll ask it directly to their face, so I’ll ask you directly and you need to be honest with me alright? have you been seeing me?" asked Chrissy. "Yes of course, doesn't everybody with eyes, maybe Mike hasn’t, he always says you look blur even seeing through those tiny spectacles of his." replied Dylan.

"You know what I meant." said Chrissy. "Yeah definitely." said Dylan. "You know, we knew each other since we were kids but suddenly you stopped talking and started stalking in the middle of well… middle school.” Said Chrissy. “Hold on, I didn’t stalk, I was just checking on you, that’s all.” Replied Dylan.

Okay fine, let’s do this the hard way." said Chrissy who begins to speed up the car.  "Oh no, not again, OH s**t!" said Dylan. "Now tell me, do you like me or not?" asked Chrissy. "If I say no, you wouldn't kill me, would you?" asked Dylan.

"We may never know do we?" replied Chrissy. "Look Dylan, I'm serious, now give me an answer or I'll take a little detour.” replied Chrissy who then turns away from the road. "WHAT THE HELL MAN." said Dylan.

"Now answer the question, do you like me or not?" replied Chrissy who then speeds up the car even more. “Chrissy, try not to do rational decisions, especially during times like this.” Said Dylan. “Answer me dang it? Do you like me or not?” asked Chrissy.

After a blinkering moment of silence, Dylan finally opens up. "Yes, I do, okay? From the moment I first saw you." replied Dylan to which she reacts by immediately stopping the car.

Then the pair have a laugh and pauses for a few seconds. "I meant what I said." said Dylan. "Dylan I..... Wait... What the heck is that?" asked Chrissy who sees a fleet of warships in the sky. "Go, now!" said Dylan. She immediately turns around and starts to ride. Just then the Warship detects the Car as hostile and locks on it and fires, resulting an explosion,

Moments pass as Dylan awakens despite being injured slowly crawls to Chrissy only to find her in gravely state, "No, no, no....." cried Dylan. Few days later at the Hospital..."It is she... missing.... betrayed us... you must find him..." Immediately Dylan wakes up only to find himself in the hospital, Mike who has looking after him rushes to him.

"Wha... What happened? Where is she? Where is she?" asked Dylan while rushing to go outside.

 "Dylan, take a breath man! Look there is something you must know..." replied Mike. Dylan pushes him and takes off the saline tube and rushes out of the bed and falls on the floor.

He then slowly tries to get up in a semi-conscious state due to the explosion, he gets out of the room despite being critically injured, and he walks while holding balance in the wall to the left.

He keeps proceeding until he stops when he looks at Chrissy's photo in the Television. "Meanwhile authorities still haven't given any further information regarding the unidentified ships that attacked a vehicle which consumed the life of a young girl named Chrissy...." continues the reporter.

A Few hours later, at the Hospital Room during midnight, Dylan wakes him and regains to full conscious, he then gets up from the bed and starts to sneak away from the room.

Dylan then crouches and heads where they kept his belongings, he wears back his clothes and immediately takes his stuff and leaves the room. And then, he reaches the exit where he then sneaks away from the hospital and begins to walk home, suddenly he regains headaches and starts to feel semi unconscious again, he tries to shake it off and run but ultimately begins to feint and falls on the ground.

Victor Cyrus, who was actually going to visit him in the hospital sees Dylan and walks to him. Meanwhile, Arthur finally wakes up from unconscious state, he gets out of the bed but finds himself restrained to the bed as nurses try to put him back on sedation until authorities arrive.

 "Where the hell am I?" asked Arthur. "Relax, you are okay." said the nurse.

He pushes them as best as he can and manages knock them all off as he tears himself from his restrains, the soldiers enter the scene but is surprised to find that Arthur, who managed to grab a scalpel knife from the table and is holding the nurse as hostage. "Back off! Now!" shouts Arthur. The soldiers obey and moves aside. He heads out of the room and proceeds towards the reception hall while holding the nurse hostage.

"Does anyone named Dylan Kayles is admitted here?" asked Arthur to the nurse. "Yes, but...” replied the nurse who was interrupted by Arthur. “Where the hell is he!" asked Arthur. Just then, an officer tries to jump on him to restrain him, even though he almost gets a hold and helps the hostage escape, Arthur counters and takes him hostage instead, then he immediately grabs the g*n on his belt.

“Where is he!” asked Arthur at the reception hall while aiming the g*n at his hostage. "Third floor, No.103." replied the receptionist. He then throws away the officer aside and proceeds to third floor. But as he comes from the elevator to the corridor, he sees a huge alien spaceship from the window in front, this too is similar to the warship that stroked Dylan and Chrissy, it is being powered by a red kind of energy.

Then, horde of legions start jumping into the building. One of them jumps in and looks at Arthur to which Arthur too looks back at its horrific appearance. “What the heck are you?" said Arthur after seeing a Legion scout, it too is black in color and is being powered by red color energy just like the ship. The scout identifies Arthur as a threat and engages him. Arthur shoots the scout and more start to come into the floor, Arthur feeling completely outnumbered runs to the elevator while being chased by Legion soldiers.

He successfully enters back into elevator and immediately presses the button to the ground floor but suddenly more ships arrive and starts to shoot the building which causes the entire building to collapse.

This causes the elevator Arthur was to come crashing down rapidly. He tries his best to get out of the elevator but ultimately fails and the building blows off.

Meanwhile in the UN Council meeting in Washington DC, the board discusses about the current situation in the alien attacks. “It’s worse than we thought Mr. President, the attacks are happening at random locations across the globe, but that's not all, NASA has just reported a huge fleet of warships heading right towards us." said the Chief of Staff.  "Who the hell are they? What is their target?" said Mr. President.

"We don't know sir, but we must come up with a plan soon." replied the Chief of Staff. "This is why we must have Alpha Protocol Systems ready in case...” said a board member before getting interrupted by another. “That is outrageous, this doesn't give excuse to...” said another board before getting interrupted by the former. “What choice do we have?" asked the board member "Gentlemen, settle down, we must hold it together, for the sake of the entire world." said Mr. President.

 "But sir, these aliens... how could be possibly defeat them?" asked another board member. "We engage Protocol 7." replied Mr. President. "Are you sure about this sir? If we do this, there is no turning back." asked Chief of staff.  "Yes, engage Protocol 7 for god sake, make sure to inform the Commanding ships now!" said the President.

Meanwhile on Cyrus's ship, Victor who is speaking to Marcus through the transmission, warns the Empire of the invasion of Earth. "They found us Marcus, they are here, the Prince's location has been compromised." said Cyrus. "Is our prince secure?" asked Marcus. "Yes, but not for long." replied Cyrus. "I will dispatch a fleet immediately, it may take some time, protect him at all costs." said Marcus. "I will." replied Cyrus.

Dylan who re-gained conscious enters the scene after overhearing the whole conversation. "Protect me from what?" asked Dylan. Both Victor and Marcus notices him entering the scene. "My prince, it is an honor...." replied Marcus.”Cut the bullshit now, I just witnessed the person I loved the most die right in front of me, and now you're telling me the reason it happened was because of me?" replied Dylan. "Dylan, it is not like that you are not responsible for..."   said Cyrus (Dylan draws and points his blaster right in Cyrus's head) "Start from the beginning, who are these people?" said Dylan.
