MAX’S POV

“what the f**k were you thinking?” I shouted at the top of my voice. I couldn’t bring myself to get mad at Lilly for what she had some so I chose to take it out on Amelia. She was so useless anyway and if she hadn’t provoked Lilly this wouldn’t have happened. Amelia was a very jealous woman nd maybe her jealousy may have lead Lilly to behaving this way. Whatever reason Lilly had for doing this had something to do with Amelia. As far as I was concerned thus was all her fault.

I hated it when my things got ruined or were mishandled by other people and if it had been anyone else who had done what Lilly did, I would have blown their head off before even asking for any explanations. Then again, no one would ever have the guts to do what she had done. This was primarily because everyone else except for Lilly knew exactly who I was and they knew the kind of consequences yhat came with pulling strings like this. This was the reason why it was easy for me to blame Amelia, she had probably realized that Lilly didn’t know certain things about me and figured getting her in trouble with me was the best way to beg rid of her. Well she was wrong because I was going to punish her for this.

I may not have been there to hear what Amelia said to Lilly but I knew Lilly well enough to know that something had to have been said to her. She wasn’t an unreasonable person and I knew Amelia was possessive and may have thought arguing with Lilly was a good idea.

“I tried to warn her and stop her but she has no respect for you” she said arrogantly and I raised my hand wanting to hit her but I stopped myself.

This wasn’t a side of me that I wanted Lilly to see. Ever since we had known each other, Lilly had never seen me get mad or even attack anyone. I had always managed to keep calm and hide my temper when I was with her mostly because of her. Having her by my side made me want to be a better person but right now she was driving me nuts.

I wanted her to see that I was the kind of man who had self control and I could protect her. I didn’t want her to be scared of me, a lot women were already scared of me the last thing I needed was to make a woman that I loved so dearly fear me. I knew that Lilly had made this mess all in an attempt to get a reaction out of me so that we could fight and she hoped that I would end up sending her home but I wasn’t about to give her that outcome.

“I don’t even understand why you brought her here when you have me” Amelia said as she got close to mw and brushed my chest.

“I am the one who always caters for your every need. She is not only useless but she clearly doesn’t have any class either’ she continued.

“you better stop, you are making me angrier by the minute, why the f**k-“

“Come on Max…you know I know how to make you feel good’ she said kissing my neck and brushing her hand on my c**k. She was trying very hard to win me hard but I was too mad maybe if Lilly wad the one who was dojng this I would have been reacting differently.

“get your-“ I stopped talking when I noticed Lilly was standing by the door way and watching us. She looked hurt and anger at the same time. I immediately pushed Amelia off me and stepped stumbled and fell on the floor.

Lilly walked out of the bedroom before I could even explain myself. But what explanation could j give her, I didn’t even know how long she had been standing by the door and I didn’t know what she had heard Amelia say. If I had tried to explain myself in that moment I would have probably ended up digging myself even deeper into this hole.

“you are fired” I said to Amelia as she got up to her feet whole I walked out. I had to make things right with Lilly. I was already feeling like I was on thin ice with her and this situation hadnt helped things.

Lilly was sitting on her chair and she had earphones on. I knelt next tk her and took one off, she shot me a look that could have killed me instantly if looks could kill.

“Please leave me alone” she said

“Max.. you can’t do thus to me for this birth. She has only been here for a few months and I have been by your side and your bed for years now” Amelia said as she stormed in.

I shot to my feet and grabbed her by the had and then led her to the business side of the jet.

“will you just stop acting like a crazy person. You Re getting on my nerves and you are pushing me to do something that I really don’t want to do hers” I snapped

“Bit she-“ I slapped her before she could finish what she wanted to say

“Know your f*****g place” I shouted and I realized hat Lilly had been Watching us the whole time. What I didn’t want to happen had happened and I was embarrassed. I couldn’t believe that I allowed this little b***h to make me act like this.

There was a pause between the three of us but there was no mistaking how Lilly felt about what she had just witnessed. She looked livid and I instantly pushed Amelia away from me and she fell on the chair.. I wanted to explain myself to her but I didn’t have it me, what explanation could I possibly give her that would make her condone or understand tthaI had to slap Amelia back in her place. I had never been one to beg anyone and I certainly wasn’t about to beg or explain myself to her. I definitely wanted to do that, but I just couldn’t allow myself to. I also felt like I had t done Nothing wrong in this situation, it wasn’t as if Lilly had just walked in on me and Amelia doing anything. It was clear that Amelia was the one who was throwing herself at me and I was rejecting her.

“don’t let me disturb you, please continue” Lily said as she went back to her seat and sat down at. It seemed as if she was trying to act like she didn’t care but the look she kept throwing my way said otherwise.

“we are about to land, make yourself useful and prepare everything” I ordered Amelia who nodded and walked away. She looked embarrassed and Lilly stared at her with bitterness in her eyes. She may not admit it but she was dying with jealousy Nd I must say that was somewhat satisfying to watch .

“how could you do that?” lily immediately got up and walked towards me.

“What did I do now Lilly?” I asked her

“I don’t like that girl but how could you just slap her like that?” She asked her, her tone wasn’t an angry one but she sounded a little scared.

“that is how I deal with people like that Lilly” I stated matter of factly.

“please sit down and buckle up, we are about to land” I ordered her and she shook her head

“I don’t want to be f*****g here!” she yelled and I rolled my eyes.

“don’t be childish, what will you do? We are already here are you going to swim back home?” I asked her and she seemed to contemplate that for a moment as if that was even an option for her.

“I will book a-“ she lost her footing and fell on top of me before finishing what she had to say and I held on to her. She tried to get up but there was no escaping my tight grip.

“Let go of me” she demanded

“I will treat you like a child if you behave like one, why dl you insist on making things difficult even when I am doing something for your own good,” I asked her and she rolled her eyes but stopped fighting. I was so tempted to kiss her and make love to her right there and then but the plane was about to come to a stop and there would be plenty of time to do that.

“How do you go from loving me so much in one day and then acting like I don’t matter the following day?’ she asked me. She looked disgusted by me and even more so by the fact that I was holding her.

I let go of her when the plane came to a stop and Luca walked in. he had come with us because there were some things I needed him to do for me while we were here but as soon as he was done he was supposed to go back home and make sure that lily’s things were moved smoothly.

“The car is ready” he announced but Lilly made no effort to move.

“Are you planning to stay on this place until it’s time to go home?” I asked her but she ignored me and looked out the window.

I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder without saying a word and then marched out of the plane. I was tired, it had been a long flight and I just wanted to get home and go to bed. I didn’t want to deal with Lilly and her little tantrums right now. Soon she would realize that everything had been done for her own good and that I only had the best of intentions for her.

Getting her I to the car wasn’t much of a struggle because I guess she figured there was no point in fighting me now when we were already here. She didn’t know anyone in Bali and didn’t even know where she would go if she was to run from me. The least she could do for herself was have fun because we were going to be here for the next two weeks.

At least she seemed to be I pressed by the villa that I had booked for us. She hadn’t said much about it when we arrived but I could tell by the way she was walking around with faint smile on her face that she loved it. She didn’t want me to see that she was starting to open up to this trip probably as a way of punishing me but I could see it in her eyes. I could see it in the way she walked around and the way she ran her fingers on the furniture. This was a beautiful place and I knew that we would have the best time once she allowed herself to enjoy it.

Luca brought our suitcases into the master bedroom and then closed the door behind him. Lilly sat on the bed and stared at me, she looked like she had something to say to me or ask me but was trying to figure out the best way she could approach me. I wasn’t going to ask her because I didn’t want her to back out of asking me. Right now I was craving f9r a conversation with her even if it was a bunch of stupid questions. I was willing to listen and sower her if it would life this tense cloud that was surrounding us.

“I have one question for you…” she said as we got up and walked towards me.

“what?” I asked her as I started taking off my clothes.

“who wants to kill me?” she asked.
