Alpha Dominic
I checked the time once more and she wàs not back, where was Ashley, I shook my head and continued my work, she was probably exploring the pack and I warned all my members to not cause her any trouble.
Andrew walked into the room with a scowl on his face,
" Don't you know how to knock?" I growled. He shrugged and threw himself on the couch.
" I wanted to inform you how it went with the early rising pack, their alpha is incompetent, why can't we just submit them," I sighed, lately I haven't been in a good headspace, I didn't work as competent as I should.
" Have you found out something about the blue howler pack?" I questioned remember I've never heard of it before, Andrew grumbled something unintelligible and I growled at him.
" I had no time," he said.
" What about the rogues that attacked the girl," he clicked his tongue in disapproval.
" We have alphas and people planning our downfall, we should be submitting packs, and all you think is that lone wolf?"
I couldn't help but think of her, especially after what happened between us, she was fire and I was burning In it, I loved it, I wanted her to consume me whole! Something like this has never happened to me before, I've never had a woman invading my thoughts for this long.
I needed to clear my head. My pack and land should come first, the world is becoming cruel therefore, I should as well if I don't want to be seen weak.
" Okay, tell me all you know about Alpha Trenton," that man is a piece of s**t who wants me dead, he's been after me and my pack for a very long time, now his only purpose is to bring us down, but I didn't kill my father for the position just to lose it to a nobody like him.
Ashley
" This is the right house right?" Charles asked, I laughed as he took me in the house by my waist, I think I drank more than I was supposed to, now I can't stand up straight.
Charles pushed the front door open, we were met with cold darkness,
" I think so but why is it so dark?"
He sighed as we both stood by the door, the house was eerily silent and dark.
" How do I find my room?" I whined, I couldn't even find the light switch. We tried to take a few steps towards the stairs but we fell in an awkward position. After staring at each other, Charles hissed
" Girl, you're heavy!"
I hit him playfully. We struggled to get up until finally, we did.
I clutched my eyes shut as the darkroom suddenly shone brighter than the sun.
I slowly opened my eyes to adjust to the light, Charles visibly tensed as we stared at an angry-looking Alpha.
" Hi," I greeted cheerfully, I really couldn't read the situation when I'm drunk. Dominic didn't answer, his lips were pressed into a thin line and his fist was clutched as he glared at my waist. I squinted my eyes at him, why was he looking angry? Do I have a curfew here? Charles suddenly took steps from me and I almost lost my footing as I almost fell headfirst on the floor but didn't, as I was held tightly by the alpha.
His grip on me was firm but didn't hurt, alpha Russel scrunched his nose.
" You were drinking," he stated, I looked at him innocently at first but I sighed in defeat.
" I only had a few," I admitted.
" Why did you? A woman shouldn't drink that way," he said seriously.
I snorted and moved away from his grip but I staggered. He still held me.
" I was unwell,"
His eyes soften for a second as he asked,
" Are you in pain? Why? Did someone hurt you again?"
One might think he cared with all those questions, he sounded sincere.
" No one likes here," I said in a quiet voice. " Maybe I should leave," I added.
" No!" Dominic was quick to interject.
Charles left the room but neither of us paid attention, Dominic Russel's eyes were on me as he asked.
" Why?" I asked, my tone taking a curious one as I gazed into his dark orbs.
" Did someone do something to you?" He asked, ignoring my question.
" Lesley said something and I saw you two kissing," he let out a small sigh
" So?" He narrowed his gaze. So? I thought we had something! I wanted to scream out but my mind knew better.
" Why did you kiss me?" I croaked, my throat suddenly getting patched.
Dominic and I were suddenly so close to each other that our breath mingled, he was slowly leaning in.
Stop my mind scolded, however, my heart couldn't disagree more,
Yes, yes, yes, it chanted. Our chest was rising and falling very fast, his gaze was glued on me as his lips grazed a part of my face, and that slight contact made me shiver.
" Ah um," I stuttered my words and realized I was standing on my tiptoes so his neck doesn't hurt for bending it too much.
" You- you," I was a mess!
" What?" His voice was deep and gentle.
" You're confusing me," I confessed, I didn't recognize my voice and with all the strength in me, I tore away from his arms and staggered my way upstairs.
As soon as my body hit the soft silk sheets, that's when I heard it, a ground shattering growl and breaking of things, I wanted to go to him but I couldn't as my body was too tired, I closed my eyes and slept took over.
...
My eyelids eased open and my fingers flew to my temple, I had a terrible headache.
The door swung open and Maria walked in.
" Hello, Miss Ashley," The young lady greeted happily, I was told she only comes twice a week.
" Hi," I groaned my response, she handed me a pill and juice which I took.
" Thanks," everything hurt, including my heart, I didn't even want to move from my bed.
I wallowed and groaned, Maria came to check up on me again. This feeling feels oddly familiar.
I smiled when an old memory came to mind,
A few years ago when I finished high school, I went to a party with my friends, we got so wasted and danced the night away, and when I got home, mom was so upset with me however, she nursed my hungover despite being unhappy with me. She was so sweet and caring, I miss my mother, I want her here with me, I blinked the tears that were threatening to fall and directed my thoughts somewhere else.
I need to visit Sirina soon, I haven't talked to her for a week.
I need to get a phone but I can't ask Trenton for those things, it will be suspicious if they saw me with a phone, I told them I have nothing, no money, no family.
' Ask that wolf for a Job,' my wolf suggested, she meant Charles, yes, I noticed he didn't have enough staff even though the place was elegant and big.
