Chloe’s pov

I woke the next day to a phone full of messages. I hadn’t even got to brushed my teeth before Tracy, a friend from high school called me.

“Oh my goddess girl! I have been trying to reach you all day!” Tracy exclaimed.

“It’s only 10am, I just woke up. What’s up Tracy girl?” I asked

“Honey first I need to ask if Dane dumped you? What the hell is going on? I had to hear from Tessa that you and Dane broke up a while ago and that they are all of a sudden in love and soon to be married!”

“You know I do not gossip or involve myself with rumors, but I will tell you that Dane and I are no longer together.”

“I know there’s some juicy details you’re keeping to yourself. These b!tches are flinging sh!t around and hoping something sticks. Something’s definitely not right. Why else would Tessa’s house and vehicle be vandalized?”

“Tracy, I have no idea what you’re talking about. Something happened to Tessa?”

“You didn’t open the messages and links I sent you?”

I giggled and reminded Tracy, “I just woke up, literally your phone call woke me up and I know you can hear it in my voice.”

“Okay, just read my messages and look at the link! I will be waiting to hear back from you, hopefully soon! Laters babe!” Tracy stated excitedly, before hanging up.

I sifted through my messages, first I read messages from my parents, they were just telling me not to let the rumors get me down.

Next were messages from others I don’t even talk to, but we used to study together during high school. People are so freaking drawn to drama.

I finally found a cluster of messages from Tracy. That girl is crazy! I don’t think I would like it any other way. Her message read.

Tracy: The s**t has hit the mother fvcking fan!

Tracy: What the hell is this, link attached?

Tracy: Do I need to put on my sneakers and get the Vaseline?

Tracy: You know you can talk to me, if you need anything.

Tracy: How the fvck are Dane and Tessa suddenly engaged?

Tracy: They sent this link, invitation to me last night.

Tracy: I just know somethings not right and I hope you’re okay.

Tracy: Call me when you can, I’m starting to worry!

Tracy: I will beat this b!itch’s @ss if you want me to. It was just a day ago Loretta was praising your name to my parents. Saying you were at the hospital everyday supporting their family while Dane was laid up in the hospital. With that said How the heck are Dane and Tessa a couple? Call me soon okay.

Tracy: I just need to know if you need me to handle this for you.

Tracy: They wrote slore in red paint on her car. They slashed her tires, and fvcked up her house and lawn!

Tracy: My parents fired her from their internship program at Jameson Attorney and Law! Apparently, they decided to believe the rumors, didn’t want to be attached to the drama, or didn’t think having to defend her was worth it.

Tracy: I always knew that b!tch was unscrupulous! Just give me the word and I will fix everything.

Tracy: Oh my goddess they are trying to blame a disgruntled ex lover.

Tracy: The Nelson’s made a statement about the wedding date and invited everyone to join them on the glorious day! Wtf! They doubled down!

Tracy: Things are really starting to get ugly! No one has thrown you under the bus. Thank the goddess!!! So don’t worry, but now there are rumors circulating that Tessa might be pregnant.

After I read through her messages I opened the links. It was looking pretty bad on Tessa’s end, and there were comments below the pictures.

Anonymous 1: Where is Chloe? I thought Dane and Chloe were together.

Anonymous 2 : This isn’t right, why would anyone do this to Tessa, she is sweet and doesn’t deserve this.

The comments continued with people asking for answers, some siding with Tessa and lots of laughing emojis with peeps basically stating you reap what you sow.

There was a video link from one of the neighbor’s kid. Tessa was begging them not to post the recording online in the video. The kid was laughing and saying he was definitely going viral today. I will admit this link made me laugh, and I needed a good laugh!

After looking at numerous pictures and the neighbor kid’s video, I felt a bit better about the situation with Dane and Tessa. I decided I wouldn’t involve myself with any of it and would let things fall into place. Karma would find its way to them eventually and when it did I only hoped they were ready.

I messaged Tracy

Me: Hey Tray Tray, I finally got through all my messages. Stand down crazy lady lol, and just let everything work itself out. I won’t get involved with the rumors. Dane and I are over, and he is free to marry Tessa as he wishes.

Tracy: I know you’re being evasive, but I won’t pry. Just call me if you need anything or change your mine. I’ll keep my Vaseline ready just in case. Love you lady kissing emojis

Me: Don’t worry about me okay. I’ve got this! Chat laters. Kiss and heart emojis.

I stayed the night at Sherry’s, and now I was waiting for her to wake up, so we could talk.
