"Why did you not tell me, that Angelo is working here also?" Angela talked in a hushed tone to Cam.
"I just forgot." She said in half-smile.
"You forgot?" She asked in disbelief. How can she forget telling her about Angelo? She is now blushing, good thing they are crowded in the elevator and Angelo is in the opposite corner.
Angelo is her boy version, and they are kind of close back when they were young. Of course, with Cam that makes them trio in their old town. As cliché as it is, she developed a crush on him that she openly shared with Cam but it should be kept secret from Angelo. But no secret that will be kept forever. One day, he knew and that was the start of their group to disband leaving her and Cam minus Angela’s boy version. She literally ran away from him and that is her signature when liking someone. She ran away from them when someone she likes knew about her true feelings. It's not just Angelo but also with Samuel and Blue back to her school-days.
"Relax," Cam said.
Why this elevator is so slow to go down? She felt suffocated knowing that Angelo is just in the same box with her.
"I can't." She firmly said. The slow wait is over when they reach the ground. Angela is having a marathon in going out from the elevator not waiting for Cam to get out.
"Angela!" She doesn't want to turn back because she's not sure if it's Cam or Angelo. She yelped when someone grabs her arm.
"You are funny! You must have seen your face." Cam teased her.
"It's not funny!" Angela their surroundings looking for Angelo.
"Angela, why are you like this? Running like a thief caught in the act?" It was not new to her. She's always telling Angela that but it never changed her reaction when someone she likes knew her feelings.
"For Christ's sake, he has already engaged Angela!" Cam blurted out which surprised her.
"Come, again?" She asked one more time for confirmation if she heard her right.
"He is engaged and please stop acting like this, running away from him. We are friends but…" But she did not continue. Right, she knew it. She destroyed their friendship because of her feelings. Not that she feels the same way as before but how can she face him after that?
"Look, I know that look of yours, Angela. I'm here to help you and you know, Angelo is really trying to reach us out. So, please?" Her eyes pleading. Yes, Angelo did try but the more he chased her before, the more she hides from him. Thinking back, now that he is engaged, maybe it is good now to face him but the bad thing, she is not yet ready and then again, when she will be ready?
"Okay, I'll think about it." She finally agreed but hoping not so soon.
"You know, I'm just here right?" And she nodded. She feels like a teen again. This is a part of her that she finds it hard to conquer.

If Angelo is working for Green Enterprise, there is a big possibility that they will bump each other, any time with or without Cam and that makes her feel not better today. She was tempted to use the golden elevator, afraid that when she steps into the public elevator then Angelo will come in out of nowhere leaving the two of them alone.
Thinking of the possibility will not only suffocate her, but she is feeling to collapse which is way more embarrassing. When she steps in, she immediately hit the close button and praying that it will go up without stopping until level fifty. She sighed reaching the floor without seeing Angelo.
"Are you ready for today's lunch meeting?" Sandra said as she passes by her station.
She completely forgot about it because of the last-minute appearance of Angelo.
"Yes." And she immediately excused and readied herself for the lunch meeting. She remembered Adam telling her to wear something nice, and she scanned herself if she wears one. Satisfied with her outfit, she just refined her makeup and left the bathroom to do her morning task.
Adam sent her something to review for next week's client's meeting last night. He is still working that late? He is really dedicated to running his company. It is now ten in the morning and no sign of her boss on the floor. Maybe because he slept late and her Skype pings.
Darling be ready, in five minutes Adam will pick you. It was Sandra.
Thank you, Sandra. Do I need to bring anything for the meeting? She asked.
Not that I know. Did Adam mention anything yesterday? She replied. She didn't remember any, so she's good.
Angela comes out in your office now. Adam is already in the elevator going up here. Sandra reminded her again and she went to her station. They chatted in her station while waiting for the boss.
"I expected your coffee this morning but I think you are not in the mood to make. You know, they are the best!" Sandra said not forgetting to flatter her.
"Oh, sorry if I miss that one, I don't have one either this morning." She said.
Seconds later, the golden elevator pings signaling that someone has arrived. None other than Adam Green, who stepped out from his private elevator in a dark suit. Why the dark suit does fit him well? He looks more manly and handsome. She wondered what would be his look if he wears a light suit. This time feels like her first day at work. Seeing Adam step out from his elevator is a good sight to watch just like actors on their premiere night walking on the red carpet but Adam is walking on his golden floor. She is on full sightseeing not noticing he is already in front of her and Sandra clears her throat just to save Angela from near drooling. She immediately regained her consciousness before Adam will notice it.
"Are you ready, Angela?" He said while smiling. Wow. That's were the first. He's smiling to her and best of all, he called her name for the first time. And she has the instinct that something is not right or was she just used to his not so good attitude?
"Angela?" He said, and she just shakes her head following his footsteps going to his golden elevator and Angela caught Sandra winking. She almost forgot that this is his elevator. She felt bad because he is not sharing it with them.
"Why are you still standing there?" He asked.
"I'm allowed to ride in it?" She asked back.
"Angela, I don't want to be late at this meeting." His serious note. Before his mind will change and his attitude will turn too sour, she hopped in.
"Of course, sir! We are not going to be late!" And Angela flashed him a smile. She is now back with her bubbly attitude.
If this is just one day change then she must use this instead of wondering, waiting for his kind attitude to expire.
