Before the Beginning, Grgat explained, there was as nothing but the Primal Mist permeating the universe. It was uniform and without shape. Then, over a period of ages, it began to coalesce into distinct entities, which eventually became the gods and the demons. At first, these two races coexisted in peaceful harmony.
