It's time again, the big party. Last year I missed it because I was at training camp and the years before that I wasn't that preoccupied with becoming King and Aplha and looking for a mate. Let's just say I enjoyed my time without my parents' watchful eyes.

This year it's different. I'll be Alpha in 5 months and crowned King. I've shaken off my wild fur and I'm ready for the future. Ready to mate and be a good king, Alpha and husband and maybe even a dad. So I changed my ways and am looking seriously for my mate and, hopefully, she is here tonight.

On the dance floor, I see her. My wolf gets restless. I can feel it in everything in my body. My heart is racing in my chest. She's beautiful. Her dark brown hair is curly and she is wearing a beautiful red dress. She's small, but she has beautiful shapes. I want to touch her, on her back, her arms, everything. I want to look in her eyes. She's at a table by now. There's two men there. They laugh with each other. One of the men takes the blond girl dancing, but she stays at the table with the other man. He's very close. I don't like this. I feel a growl in my wolf's chest. "Don't touch mate!" I can hear my wolf. He also gives her a kiss on the forehead! He dares! She looks sad. "You have to go there!"

"She doesn't know" I say to my wolf.

Another kiss on that forehead. Why! I feel angrier. She's mine!

The blond girl returns with the other guy and takes her on the dance floor. Good, this is my chance.

"Guys, enjoying this evening!?" I say as I walk up the table.

"Prince Justin. It's an honor to be here, I’m Brian."

"Hello, Brian. Where are you from?"

"I am the future Alpha of TreeMoon Pack and this is my Beta Emlin and his little brother warrior Rex".

"Beer Prince Justin?" Emlin asks.

"Good, I can hang around for a while." I say and accept the beer.

"Who are you here with?" I ask.

"With our sisters" says Brian. I'm calming down. Good, so she's family, so no competition.

We talk a bit about the daily stuff about the training camp where the Alpha and Beta have also been and a little chat about the ladies who are present. In the meantime, I can smell her getting closer.

I'll get pushed aside a little bit. That's new. I look down and see a beautiful blonde lady standing between me and Brian. It’s the blond who was dancing with her.

"Sorry guys, but Flora and I are thirsty too!" And she takes her drinks off the table.

"Prince Justin, sorry, this is my sister Amy.” Brain says

Amy introduces herself and I shake her hand.

If she's here, the lady in red is here, too. I turn my head and there she is. Up close, she is even more beautiful. I smell her, she smells like cinnamon and vanilla. Her silver eyes are to drown in.

My wolf gets restless when I see the man next to her putting an arm around her and giving her a kiss. Why! She's mine! How dares he!

"And this is actually my little sister too, Flora." She bends her head and I hold her hand. My hand feels warm and I feel tingling through my arm flowing to my heart. I can’t let go.

"Can someone explain how your family works, because you three are not brothers" I say, but I keep looking at her. She's too pretty to stop looking. I'm trying to push my wolf into the background.

"Brian and Emma are brother and sister. Just like Rex, Flora and I. Just as Brian earlier said he will be the next Aplha of our Pack and I will be Beta. We've known each other since we were little and it feels like we're brothers and sisters." Emlin explains.

"Yes, I was hoping that one of my brothers would be a mate of Flora's. Then we were really family and always together. But unfortunately, we all see each other as family," Amy says in a teasing tone.

I feel reassured and I let go of her hand, but I have to keep looking at her. I'm going to ask the men a few more questions about their pack and their view of the future. I'm ignoring Amy's comment for now. No one of these guys is taking my mate away.

The men are very kind to her and feel very protective. Like any other man, he is a potential threat.

"I walk up to mom and dad" I hear her beautiful voice say. It brings me back into reality.

Wait, why? Oh, the fireworks. I'm drowning in her. I need to know how old she is. When she was 18, she would have felt it. I see and feel that she feels something, but I also see that she doesn't know what to do with it.

"Nice to meet you Prince Justin" she bows her head and walks off the table.

“I also have to go that way. Wait, I will walk along.”

“You can just say Justin. Prince sounds so formal." I say while I'm standing next to her.

She blushes, and nodded.

I invite her to walk with me.

It's crowded, but people go to the side when they see me. I feel eyes on us. She must feel that, too. I want to reassure her and put my hand on her lower back. As support. She stops walking and looks at me in shock.

"Relax, I'll lead you through the crowd. Where do we go?"

She points in the direction of their dinner table and together we walk. I can feel the skin under my hand getting warm, tingles again, the smell of cinnamon and vanilla warms inside. In silence we walk towards her parents. She's walking next to me. Still with my hand on her lower back. I don’t care how people look, I’m used to it.

"My parents are sitting here. It's nice to meet you, Prince Justin." she says and I bows her head.

"Very nice to have met you too, Flora, but I said not so formal. It's Justin to you." I say.

I'll let her go. I'm going to keep walking, fast, before I lose control and throw her over my shoulder to my room.

I'm going to walk a little bit further and see what happens. Her mother, I think, hugs her. They walk up to the other table and leave the room.

"Dad, I found her." I'll link him.

"Boy, what good news. I'll see you at the show in the lodge and talk to you."

I'm rushing to the lodge.

"I found her. My mate, my fated mate. My heart, my body, my head." I lose my breath over it.

"Honey" my mom pats me on the back. "I'm so glad you feel that so clearly."

"Tell More" my dad says.

"Her name is Flora, she still lives in the TreeMoon Pack. She doesn't know it yet. Her father's the Beta there. She has two and maybe three protective brothers. They keep her very close." I can hear myself growling.

"Hahahaha, already possessive" My father laughs. "What's your plan?"

"I want to speak to that future Alpha of theirs tonight, before I move on. He spoke so lovingly of her and to her that I need to hear more from him. There was another girl but I think Flora was the youngest."

"Let's start the show and you do what you have to do to get to your mate." My dad's giving the go-ahead, and I'm going to find this Brian guy.

He's with his family. He's lurking, looking for women. I smirk.

"Lizz, I have to distract a man, a handsome man, an alpha, and he's hungry. Are there any friends of yours who are looking for a one-off?" I'm linking to my sister.

"On the way", Lizz linked back.

I see a beautiful woman coming, yes, she's all set, Annabel's her name. A few glances. She walks past him and touches him. She's signaling to him. He's having second doubts.

The show's over, that's where she's walking. My mate, my Luna, my love..

"Pay attention!" I hear Lizz in my head.

Oh, yes, I had a mission. Where are Brian and Annabel? Found them.

"Brian! Good to see you"

"Oh uh, Prince Justin, I was just on my way" he looks around. Annabel walks away.

"She'll be right back, she's hungry, too." I wink at him.

Brian’s blushing

"What can I do for you, Prince?"

"Flora, she's a special girl" I say.

"Flora certainly is. With all due respect, Prince Justin, she's not like that. Not like most women. I can't let that happen. I swore I'd protect her until she found her mate. You can't use her for an adventure." He says

" An adventure!" Growl I. "what do you think I'm for!" I’m ready to rip off his head.

"Easy, you scare the man. What's wrong with you!" Lizz linked in my head. I'm sure she's looking somewhere.

Brian looks startled. " Excuse Prince Justin, I thought..."

"Well don’t" I interrupt him. I sound mad.

"How old is Flora? How do I handle this? She doesn't know, but I know she's feeling something. I felt that when I held her."

"Flora is 17. She turns 18 in August"

"about 4 months"

"Why do you have to protect her and who did you promise that to? Who do I have to be with to be with her!?"

Justin looks at me with big eyes, I think he suddenly understands what I'm talking about.

"Is Flora your.. no..no… no Flora is not your..."

"Yes, Flora is my mate. The one and only" I say

"Oh man....Flora." Brian sighs. "With my father and her father. I can set up an appointment in the morning? Then we can talk about it?"

"Okay. At 10. With breakfast in the meeting room. Make sure they're there."

Brian picks up his phone and I hear he's calling his dad. I hear the man on the phone "why? Why does the Prince need us and then you and Emlin?"

"Flora" is all he says over the phone.

"Okay. Tomorrow, 10:00 with breakfast, you said? Make sure you're awake. I'll tell Aaron." I hear the voice through the phone and the connection is disconnected.

"Thank you Brian, have fun tonight and see you tomorrow."

" Yeah, thanks, prince Justin."

I'll signal to the lady that she can come back. At least they can blow off steam.

"Mate" I hear in my head.

"Yes Castor, I hear you. I'm working on it. She's so beautiful." I'm going to walk around the park. I'll see the hotel. I'm sure she'll have a room at the hotel. I need eyes on her. All the time. She needs to be safe. I need to know what she’s doing.

"Lizz?"

"Now what?"

"Are you still up, need to talk to you, need my sister."

"Where are you?"

"Fountain in front"

"10 minutes"

10 minutes later, I see Lizz. Looks like she was already asleep. I'm supposed to be asleep, too. "Lizz, I found her."

"Oh? How does that feel?"

"Indescribable. She smells like cinnamon and vanilla. When I see her, my heart goes out of my chest. Castor goes crazy and when I held her hand and her back, sparks flew everywhere."

"Oh wow, I’m a bit jealous. Where is she now?"

"In bed, I think. She doesn't know. She's not even 18. I'll see her father and her Alpha tomorrow."

"It's hard for you. Sounds like you're going for it right away."

"Will you keep an eye on her for me? You're a woman, that's less noticeable!?"

I'm ashamed to ask my sister. I'm asking my sister to shadow my future wife. But yes, she's also the future Queen and Luna. Hers, too.

Lizz looks with big eyes "you want me to do what!? Are you crazy? What if she sees me? What am I supposed to say? If she doesn't know, I can't say it's you! How!?"

"whoa Easy there! I just want for the time she's here, that she's okay and I want to see her again. I have to touch her, but I have no excuse!"

I think I look very sad, because Lizz wants to do it.

"Okay, then you go to sleep now, Justin, I'm going on a flower hunt." Lizz says with a wink. "When I find her, I also look for a place to sleep. I'll be in tomorrow, remember!" she says.

I can't sleep. Those men around her, they're family, sort of, but they're too close. She's mine.

"top floor left corner" Lizz linked

"Her room?"

"Family suite. Brother's sexy! He's going to hit it at the door! Poor girl."

"What girl, Flora!?"

"No, I think that eldest looks like he's found someone, too, and it doesn't look like she's just anyone. I'm not going to look at this!"

"No, I get it! Good luck!"

Sunk in my mind, I fell asleep. I wake up at 8:00.

"Are you listening? Flora?"

"Yes, I'm listening, no, not Flora. They lost the eldest. It's against the door with the chick. I went to listen to this Alpha guy, and he's yelling at Brian. He’s mad.. not just mad.. the man is livid!”

"What happened?"

"Annabel"

"I'll send him a message."

I grab my phone and send Justin a message: tell Amy to tell Flora to open the door.

It stays quiet for a while.

"Flora opens the door. She's pretty. I think she's going to work out."

"Keep following Lizz"

I get messages from Lizz all morning. She does yoga. She's very agile, according to Lizz. When she was in the sun, I took a look. She's just as beautiful in her sportswear. Also with sweat and messy hair. They had been working out for an hour. Lizz says she's very sporty.

"They go in. Hurry up"

I run downstairs and wait at the door Lizz says. I can hear her coming, I can feel her coming. The door swings open and I step back.

"Neat" I hear Lizz say.

"awh" I hear Flora

I turn around and she's on the ground. Amy looks like she's going to fall over at any moment too.
