There’s Something You Need To Know

Lucas’ POV

I wasn’t happy being dragged away from my mate that way.  But I also knew as Ronnie was my protector this girl here was also my mate’s protector.  She was dragging me away because there was something to tell me about my mate that I needed to know.  I just couldn’t fathom what would be so important that she needed to tear me away from mate at that very moment.  I sighed in exasperation as I was led to the dance floor with a woman who was clearly not my type.  I kept looking over my shoulder at one of the most magnificent creatures I had ever seen.  But one thing confused me and that was if she was supposed to be a high-ranking Alpha why didn’t I sense her wolf?  As if reading my mind this girl with me said “She suffered a severe trauma just before she was able to do her first shift and the doctor thinks it stifled her wolf.  She has to heal from the trauma before the wolf can come forward.”  I furrowed my brows at her because I wanted to know exactly what kind of trauma my beautiful mate had suffered that caused her wolf to be lost in her mind somewhere.  Whoever had hurt her was going to pay and pay heavily because nobody treats the future werewolf princess that way.  Just then out of the corner of my eye I caught my princess walking off towards the doors with some other guy.  She was laughing and smiling with him.  I felt an instant jealousy.  He wasn’t even a wolf he was a f*****g vampire.  I let out a growl and the girl with me turned her head in the direction I was staring.  “Oh God she’s completely innocent about supernatural’s.  She knows about werewolves but not other creatures that vampire will easily subdue her.”  I left this woman’s side immediately to go find my princess.

When we stepped outside it was like she had disappeared had I not been a wolf and had excellent hearing I would not have heard the whimpering from a nearby alley.  I ran as fast as I could towards the sound and was stunned at what I was seeing.  My mate was pushed up against the wall making out with this vampire. Her whimpers were those of pleasure and not torture it threw my wolf into a rage so powerful I couldn’t contain him.  Immediately he took over and ran to the couple.  I threw the vampire away from her and started to attack her with my mouth and my body.  She was struggling against me, and I didn’t care I was going to make her mine and she was going to remember that she belonged to me one way or another.  Before I knew it, I was having my way with this creature totally oblivious to her cries for me to stop.  I didn’t even register her pain in any way.  I couldn’t hear the people in the background yelling for me to stop.  When my c**k entered her sweet little p***y, I couldn’t help but moan at the tightness of it.  God, she felt so wonderful.  I thrust as hard and quick as I could barely registering the bit of resistance I was met with at her entrance.  I kept going faster and faster until I felt my release and I exploded inside her with everything I had.  When I was finished, I felt my legs turn to jello and just slid to the ground trying to regain my composure.  That’s when the other girl rushed forward and picked up my mate and quickly ran away with her.  I growled but I had used so much energy that I couldn’t quite give chase just yet.  Before I knew it, they had disappeared in the night.

Ronnie’s POV

I was sitting at the table with Lucia as Amber had taken Lucas over to the dance floor to explain what had happened to Lucia before he did something stupid.  Knowing my Alpha, he would do something stupid if he didn’t get informed.  They had started to dance when this vampire came up to us and started talking to Lucia.  I growled at him, and he hissed at me, but Lucia seemed totally oblivious the exchange.  Then he leaned over and whispered something in her ear and before I knew it, she was walking out the door with him.  I looked over to where Lucas was, and he was making a beeline for the door following behind the couple that just exited the building.  Amber and I were not far behind, and we caught a glimpse as Lucas disappeared around the corner of the building.  When we got around the corner, we arrived just in time to see Lucas throwing the vampire away from Lucia and attacking her with everything he had.  Not in the harmful way but in the lust driven way.  Amber and I both were yelling for him to stop.  He didn’t understand and he was going to make things worse for her to get her wolf.  When he didn’t respond I knew that his wolf had taken over and there was no turning back.  I turned to Amber and said “his wolf has taken over.  We can’t stop this now the only thing we can do is once he is done you need to collect Lucia and get her the hell out of here.  He will be to tired to chase after you.”  She nodded her head and we got ready to act as soon as he was done.  Once he slid to the ground I nodded at Amber, and she swiftly ran over to Lucia taking her into her arms and they fled into the night.

I looked over at Lucas and could tell that his wolf was still in control.  He growled at me and said, “that is my mate, and I will have her.”  I shook my head and said, “Ranger you hurt your mate and you may have made it to where you mate will never get her wolf.”  The shock on Ranger’s face was sadness and he asked me why.  I knew that Ranger and Lucas could both hear me, so I started to explain all about Lucia.  As I was recounting the events that had unfolded in Lucia’s life, I could see a gamut of emotions run across my Alpha’s face.  Hurt, Anger, Sadness, Frustration, and even pride.  He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, “she was hurt so terribly and yet she said nothing.”  I looked at him and said “Lucas I’m saying this to you as a friend, you f****d up big time.  She didn’t say anything because the guy who hurt her was supposed to be her mate and was her brother’s best friend.  He was the chosen Beta once her brother took over the pack and she knew that by him attacking her it would not only take away his Beta title but mean instant death for him.  She knew that would break her brother’s heart.  Her former mate also scared her so much that she didn’t want to speak up or even accept his rejection until after she had left the pack and he wouldn’t be able to find her. “Lucas hung his head low and whispered, “what have I done?”  I helped him up and we made our way back to the pack house.  “I’m not sure how much damage has been done here my friend.  I will contact Amber in the morning and see what needs to be done.  But for now, you have to stay away from her.  We can’t risk her not getting her wolf the prophecy clearly states that for us to be victorious she has to have her wolf.  Lucas nodded at me we went into the castle.

Amber’s POV

I couldn’t believe that Lucas had acted in that way.  I knew that Alpha wolves could be very possessive, but I thought he would at least be able to maintain some kind of control in himself.  All I could think of was that poor Lucia has endured so much already and she already had zero faith in the mate bond.  If she realized that Lucas was her second chance mate, she would totally walk away from mates all together.  We couldn’t have that happening.  I got her home, and she was shivering and crying like no other.  I carefully helped her into her room and got her out of her clothes.  Then I turned on the shower for her and helped her in.  As she got herself cleaned up, I made my way to her bedroom and gathered underwear and pajama’s.  I turned down her bed so that she could climb in once she was changed.  I got a glass of water and two pain relievers and set them on the bedside table.   I wasn’t sure how this was going to play out but by the traumatized look on her face I knew it wasn’t going to go well.  f*****g Alpha wolves.  When I heard the shower turn off, I went in and helped her out of the shower and gave her all the things I had gathered for her.  I waited outside the bathroom for her to come out and guided her to the bed where I helped her lay down after taking the pain killers.  She laid on her side and started to cry softly into her pillow.  I covered her with her blankets and just sat quietly with her my heart breaking the whole time.  This beautiful woman was broken.  I only hoped it wasn’t beyond repair.

After crying for several hours Lucia had finally drifted off to sleep.  I got a text from Ronnie asking how she was doing, and I replied “not good. What the f**k was Lucas thinking.”  Ronnie replied “it wasn’t Lucas it was Ranger his wolf and he wasn’t thinking.  They both feel horrible about what happened and know that they can’t see her for a while to let her hopefully heal.  I just hope they haven’t ruined everything.”  I replied “I know what you mean.  I haven’t told her that Lucas was her second chance mate if I tell her that she will lose complete faith in the mate bond.  She already told me that she didn’t believe in it because mates just hurt their mates and so far, I can’t say I blame her.  The only experience she has had with mates, and they have both hurt her.  Hey, I have to go I hear her starting to get up.”  With that I ended the conversation.  I walked towards the bedroom and sure enough Lucia was starting to stir.  I carefully went in and asked her how she was doing.  She looked at me with sadness in her eyes and said “why do guys always hurt me?  I was getting along great with that other guy, and he was treating me well.  Then that Lucas guy came over and ruined it all.  I just don’t understand.  First Brian hurts me and now Lucas.  I saw myself really liking him to that’s the sad part.  I was just having a little fun with that other guy.  I thought Lucas might be the one that I could build a life with but how can I trust him when he hurt me like that?  How Amber?”  I wanted to cry at the pain that was coming from her heart.  She was feeling the mate bond pulling her towards Lucas and with one action he pretty much tore it apart.  I could only hope it could be salvaged.  I sent a quick text to Ronnie “she felt the mate bond in a sense.  She said she was pulled towards Lucas but was only having a little fun with the vamp.  She said she could see her and Lucas having a future but now she doesn’t know how she can even trust him.  I have some serious damage control to do.  Tell Lucas he has to stay away for a while.  He can send an apology and let her know that when she’s ready to talk he will be there but then leave her alone.”  Ronnie replied with “got it.”
