Living in the shadow of her sister, Samantha had to endure everything. Her sister had never treated her well. Her parents were no different, as they never treated her as their daughter as well. She’s alive, but dead inside.

So, to get a way from her parents and Madison’s unacceptable treatments, going to college far from them is her last resort. But faith has another plan for her, as her life becomes messier as soon as she meets Killan.

Can Samantha escape her faith once she finds out that there’s more to this world than she has ever thought of? And can she fight the pull between her and Killan if the pull is stronger than she can ever imagine?

Will she get the happiness she deserves? Or will the history repeat itself again?

***Let’s unravel everything by following their story.***

Welcome
"This is it, Sam! You got this!" She mentally talks to herself before taking a deep sigh as she continues on walking towards the gigantic gate entrance. "Yellow for scholars, green for regulars, and red for elites." She couldn't help but to recite the words written on the shiny rectangular card she's holding. “Welcome to the Forgotten Knight University! Be guided according to your assigned card for the Do’s and Don’ts." A welcoming intro came from a speaker on the upper right corner next to the CCTV. Samantha secretly snickered as she found the name weird. But just like what an old saying says, "Don't judge the book by its cover." The school name might sound uncommon but the rating and the benefits were outrageous. On top of that, the probability to work in some of the prestigious companies is higher than to eighty percent. Besides, Forgotten Knight University is where most of the children of wealthy and influential people are currently studying. Upon knowing all that Samantha took the scholarship and here she is right now, almost a few minutes away from starting her new life, away from all the dramas her family had inflicted on her. She has almost dropped her mouth while adoring the structures and the arts around her. Adding to her wonderment is the people she sees. She feels odd seeing how they look, but still part of her feels excited as she gets to see new faces again. Her happiness doesn't last that long when she remembers her sister, Madison. She can't be happier knowing Madison is also studying in the same school. “Oops! My bad.” A voice came from behind. "Ugh, thinking of the devil." Samantha rolled her eyes before turning around to face her sister. She knew Madison had purposely nudged her arm and it caused some of her favorite novel books to lose from her grip. “What do you want?” She asked Madison, nonchalantly. “Nothing. Just didn’t see you. Oh, by the way, don’t tell anyone that we’re related.” Instead of responding to Madison, she decided to pick up her books. Madison was about to leave when she remembered one thing. “Oh! One more thing. Stay out of my sight. Don’t you dare come anywhere near me. You're not worthy to be by my side or near my friends. So stay the hell away from me. Got it? Samantha again ignored the insult but still managed to ask. “Friends? Didn’t you say you have no friends here?” “Duh! Samantha, you know me. I can make friends with anybody. A lot of friends. Unlike you-“ Madison left the rest of her words hanging as she scanned Samantha from top to bottom with a disgusted look on her face. Since Samantha had already gotten used to her, she chose to ignore her. Instead, she decided to leave Madison as she continued her track towards the admission office. “Hey! You-!” A disbelief voice came out of Madison. Samantha only released a sigh of relief when she got to the admission office. She came too early, but it's enough for her to get things done for her first day. Besides, her classes won’t start in three more hours, so it's the least of her concern at the moment. Although her plan to get away from her family had not completely happened because of Madison, she’s still glad knowing she's no longer living with her parents. This wouldn't even be possible if it's not because of the scholarship. The scholarship was more than enough for her as she would get to access to every amenity that the school can offer. The type of scholarship she got was only provided to a very few students. She just got lucky to be one of them. Unlike Madison she had to pay for her tuition fee in full but she would only get limited access to the school's amenities. The tuition fee was quite high, but their parents didn’t mind. They could spend a lot of money on their precious daughter. Samantha had already accepted the fact that her parents couldn't give her equal attention compared to what they gave to her sister. “Watch out!” A male voice echoed in the hallway. But it was too late for Samantha to comprehend what was about to happen as it already hit her head. “Ouch!” For the second time, her books fell to the floor. “I’m sorry. Are you okay?” “Yeah- “ “I’m really sorry.” “It’s okay. It’s not that painful, though. Anyway, I gotta go.” “Sure. Oh- I’m Dylan, by the way.” Dylan offered his right hand for a handshake. “Sam.” She accepted the handshake. “Nice meeting you, Sam.” "You, too. Anyway, I gotta go." “Yeah?” “Uhm- just a piece of advice, Sam. For a new student like you, refrain from using this place. You can use the other way to get to the admission office.” “What? Why? We-wait- how did you know I’m new? And, how did you know I was going there, too? I never mentioned it to you.” “Well, students here have never used this hallway. The knew this is prohibited, unless you belong to the upper class. I know you’re going to the admission because of this...” Dylan lifted the paper. "You dropped this" It was an entrance slip given to all new students. “Oh- Thank you. This is important.” “Yeah, I thought so. And please take my advice. You seem nice, so I highly suggest you not to use this way again.” “Why? Nothing that says off limit or prohibited here.” “Well, uhm let's just say this is for the elite students only and if they see you here, they’d pick on you.” “And you’re one of them.” “Haha! Sorta- but not m really.” “You confused me.” “Haha! Don’t think much about it. If I were you, you better hurry or else you won't get to the admission in time.” “Oh! Yeah- you’re right. I gotta go. Thanks.” Samantha hurriedly walked away, leaving Dylan with a smile on his face while watching her getting out of his sight. “What are you looking at?” Out of nowhere, Jagger came to Dylan's side. “Holy cow!” Dylan hated it every time Jagger appeared with no noise. “You spaced out. What’s in there?” Jagger nodded as he pointed towards the hallway. “Nothing. Where are the others?” Dylan walked to the bleacher while asking. “They’ll be here soon.” “And Killan?” “Yes, he'll be here, too.” Jagger nodded as he sat next to Dylan. Admission Office... “Thank you.” Said Samantha after taking the key card of her room, including some welcome kits. “You’re welcome. Anyway, Miss Porter, a few more things I want to reiterate.” “Sure, hit it.” “Being a scholar of this school, we expect you to abide by the rules implemented. Read the school handbook so you’ll be guided by those rules.” “I will." “And- we’re so strict when it comes to curfew. You’re not allowed to go out of your dormitory late at night without prior approval. You’re only allowed to go out until ten in the evening. Besides, the gate of your dormitory will be automatically locked at exact eleven. Be sure to be in your room before that, or else you’ll be reprimanded heavily. We don’t tolerate violators in our school, especially scholars." “I understand.” “Good! Anyway, your belongings are ready to pick up. You can now proceed to the ground floor security office to claim them.” “Okay. Thank you, Mrs. Hawthorne.” “You’re welcome.” Samantha remembered what Dylan told her so she chose to use the elevator.
