"Nagugutom na ako," sabi ko sa kanya. I purposely changed the subject.
"Nana cooked earlier. Initin na lang natin. But before we eat, could you at least answer my question. Aalis ka na ba pagdating n'ya?"
"Hindi. Sabi n'ya dito lang daw ako sa rancho mo."
He looked like the cloud was lifted from his shoulders. "Talaga?"
Tumango ako. "Oo nga. Worried ka naman agad."
"Ikaw kasi. Pa-suspense pa," nakalabing sabi nito. "Uhm.. do you want to go out on a date?"
