Chapter 6

It had been hours since I left Banes land and no one came looking for me. Maybe they gave up, at least that was my hope. Caw Caw! I looked up towards the night sky as Burnard swooped down from above. Something was in his talons. I reached out my arm for him to land. A flower dropped from his talons but not just any flower. A Moon Flower. I felt my pulse spike as a smile crept on my face. "Oh Burnard, where did you find this? Show me." Burnard took off towards the night sky and I followed him. He was going North, farther up the mountain from my home. I tried my best to keep up with him but my legs burned from the run here. I stopped to catch my breathe.  "Caw!" I looked up, Burnard was now perched above me cleaning his feathers. "Really? Now is the time to do that?" I said in a irritated voice. I took a look around where Burnard had lead me. It was a meadow full of Moon Flowers in bloom. My heart started to ache. If I could start over, build a new Coven I would do it here. Me and Burnard would start from the roots and build it into a beautiful New Coven.  I leaned down, caressing the flowers gently as I laid down in the middle of them. I closed my eyes breathing in the fresh air mixed with the flower's floral scent. For the first time in a very long I felt some sort of peace. Being in Bane's land felt like I was in prison. I wasn't aloud to do most things a normal person would do but now I was free... I found myself laughing in relief. No more wolves dragging me threw the dirt. No more embarrassing encounters like the one that happened with Bane. I found my hand sliding down my leg remembering his odd gentle touches. I immediately shook the thought from my head but something kept creeping back up, the way he acted before I ran away wasn't how he usually acted with me. He got close to me and not because he was angry with me. I sensed something change in him, even if for a split second, I still felt it. He said I smelled good...who says that to a prisoner or slave. "CAW CAW!" I shot up hearing Burnad's warning call. "No. Please no." I immediately started looking around into the trees that surrounded me. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Everything was quiet, too quiet. I slowly started to get up, then I heard a shift in the forest. He found me again... I heard a low mumbled growl. Then his red eye's came into view along with his bulky jet black wolf body, like he was a living embodiment of a shadow. I could try out running him again but that got me nowhere last time... Bane's ears were back as he snarled at me, inching closer to me. I swallowed hard. I had to think of something and quick. "Bane please, hear me out...I found something that could possibly help your pack." His snarl only got more intense. I started glancing around trying to think of something that I could possibly fabric a story out of. Then I thought of what surrounded me. "The Moon Flowers." I said Bane's eyes surveyed the area around us, then looked back at me.  "If anyone gets sick again, I can make an antidote out of them so they won't die." I said hoping he would believe me. Bane's ears suddenly perked up and he was no longer snarling. A cloud of dirt swiftly rose up in front of me as he exhaled. He changed in front of me. I coughed as some of the dirt invaded my lungs. As the dust cleared. I saw Bane kneeled in front of me with Moon Flowers held out to me in his hands. "Do it now." He demanded, his eye's narrowed at me. My heart felt like it was stuck in my throat. I only fabricated the story to get myself out of another beating. Now I had to make something I had no clue even existed. I swallowed hard.  "Okay." I said in a shaky voice, but I had to pretend to be confident, if I didn't he would know I was lying.  Caw! Burnard swooped down from above and landed on my shoulder. Bane's brows furrowed at him. "He's my familiar. Anywhere I go, he goes." I stated. Bane's upper lip curled up in response.  He shoved the flowers into my chest. "Make the antidote now Lucia."  I pressed my lips together and turned around. s**t. What am I suppose to do now?  One of Burnard's feathers floated down in front of me. I instinctively picked it up and looked at it. It suddenly grew brighter and blinded my eyes for a second. I dropped it then was met with flashes of images. The Moon Flower, Bane's Hair and one of my Moon Stones. I turned to Burnard grinning from ear to ear. "Oh I love you, you smart bird!" I whispered too him and kissed his little beck. He just saved my butt. I grabbed the stones in my pocket, then turned to Bane who was now leaning back against the ground naked. "Oh God, Really?" I said as I covered my eyes feeling heat rush to my face. I forgot when he switched he would be unclothed.  "Just make the damn antidote." He said. I uncovered my eyes. "I need a piece of your hair." "What?"  I sighed and leaned over to pull a piece of hair from his head but I slipped and fell on top of him. His hands immediately grabbed my waist. Our faces were so close and I swear to god I saw a sly smile snake across his face. He then leaned into my ear. "I could take you here, right now and no one would be around to hear you scream..." He said in a low husky voice. A light gasp slipped from my lips as I pulled away from him. Then I slapped him hard enough to feel my own hand sting. His eye's widened then narrowed at me. "What the hell is wrong with you? You murdered my family and my home. You can go to hell for all I care and I would rather die than be touched by you." I said with hatred so deep it burned in my gut.  Bane pressed his lips together and looked away from me. He then snatched me up, hulling me over his shoulder like a bag. "No! Let me go!" I screamed pounding my fists into his back. I can't go back there bit when I know this place exists.  "You are so bullheaded. Stop fighting me." he said flatly. "NO! I will never stop fighting you! As long as I breathe I will still fight you and I will hate you!" I screamed to the heavens hoping they heard me as well. I could never get away, he had my scent locked into his system he always knew where I was. Now I was going back to hell...I felt my skin heat up and it started to Illuminate. I could feel something awakening within me. Rage. I let out a piercing scream and made the very earth shake underneath Bane's feet.
