Noah

As I was about to follow in Charlie’s footsteps and grab a bite to eat, Amber pulled me aside. “Come with me,” she demanded. I followed her out of the room. She immediately began to tell me all of the details of the date she and Jordan had just planned. “Wait,” I stopped her, “Why are you telling me this, isn't it supposed to be a secret?" "Simple. Jordan and I can't go on this date with you to make sure everything runs smoothly. Besides, between you and Charlie, we all know that she would tell you everything within seconds. This way, at least one of you gets to be surprised.” “Fair point.” Jordan joined us outside the room to finish ironing out the details. We knew the next few days were going to be busy, so we planned the date for whenever things settled down. The plan they had come up with was really good, almost as good as my plan on the beach just weeks prior. I was excited to put this plan into action. I knew Charlie would love it. We spent the rest of the night eating chicken and laughing with each other over nothing important. I loved spending time with these girls. They felt like my second family. I felt like I could tell them anything and they would love me unconditionally, but I never had to tell them anything I wasn’t comfortable with. Our parents came to our room and told us that it was getting late and that we should go to bed. I got into my pajamas and jumped into the bed with Charlie. I put my arms around her and pulled her close to me. I could tell that she was smiling. I kissed her on the cheek, which caused her to smile even more. "Love you Noah," she whispered.  "Love you, too," I whispered back. We stayed like that all night. This just felt so nice.It was nothing like when I was with Gavyn. When I would spend the night with him, it was always fueled by lust. There was no comfort there. I didn’t know it then, but there was no love in that bed. Here, with Charlie, there was only love. I knew I belonged with her. Morning came along all too soon. I awoke to Jordan and Charlie singing their hearts out. Of course, the only logical thing to do was to join them. Amber and Maia joined us, too. We sang completely off-key to songs we grew up with and loved every moment of it. We only stopped when Maia’s mom reminded us to join our families in the breakfast buffet. Surprisingly, our agent joined us for breakfast, as well. “Did you girls like the beach house yesterday?" he asked us.  The girls and I all nodded eagerly. "Good, because you'll be moving there next week," he proclaimed. His proclamation became truth. Within a week, filled with a lot of sweat, tears, and hustling, we made the move from all of our home states to L.A. While not all of our families were able to join us, I was thankful that my family was able to, along with Charlie’s. It only took us a few days and a lot of hard work to settle in. Once we were settled in, we got straight to party planning. The only guest we added to the list was Blaire, as it turned out that she was our neighbour. I was glad, because she seemed to be incredibly close with Charlie, and I wanted to get to know her better, as well. Other than that, all we had to do was set a time. We chose to hold it on the Friday night. Jack, Joe, and Jason were the first to arrive. Jason, who was my age, plastered himself by my side the moment he laid his eyes on me. As X-Factor was ending, Jason had confessed his feelings for me. We almost started a relationship together, but chose not to due to the long distance. Of course, now that I was dating Charlie, I really didn’t want to date Jason. I couldn’t tell him that, though. Charlie and I couldn’t risk publicising our relationship. Instead, Jason stayed glued to my side the entire time. Jealousy was written all over Charlie's face the entire night, and I felt bad because it was all my fault. Yet I couldn't really talk to her about it with Jason by my side. I hoped she would understand when I explained it to her the next morning. As the night continued on, I lost sight of Charlie. I worried about her. I hoped she was okay. I assumed she had run off to her room for a moment to withdraw from everyone. I noticed that she had been starting to do that more and more, but she played it off like it was nothing. I knew it was more than nothing. I had to go find her. “Listen, Jason, I’ll be right back.” "Be back soon?" he asked. “Sure,” I wasn’t sure at all.
