Emily quickly left the café, almost as if escaping, and collided with someone due to not paying attention to her surroundings.
"I'm sorry, sir!"
Rubbing her head in pain, Emily quickly apologize.
"Oh? Isn't this Edward's wife?"
The slightly familiar voice piqued Emily's curiosity, and she looked up to see that the man she had bumped into was Dr. Rand.
She had seen him multiple times during Edward's treatments, so Emily was somewhat familiar with him.
"Dr. Rand, I'm really sorry..."
"It was my fault, not yours. But why do you look so upset? Did someone bully you? Tell me, I'll help you vent your frustrations."
Dr. Rand's tone was far from serious, unlike when he was at the Miller family, and it carried a hint of... playfulness?
"It's alright, no one bullied me. Goodbye, Dr. Rand."
