As we turned to head for the exit, Weeks and two of his men marched toward us from our left. “What's the meaning of this!” Smith shouted, his voice carrying through the open area of the commons, which was quickly emptying of students. Holding Brett's hand, I stopped, as it was apparent we were angling to a point where we'd be between Weeks and Smith and it was pretty obvious there was about to be a confrontation. “What do you think you're doing here disrupting classes?” Smith's legs carried him quickly across the commons, quicker than I'd have thought he could work his legs under such a girth. “Excuse me, but who are you?” Weeks growled back, not giving an inch.
