Chapter 5

1194 Words
"Your mistress?" I asked full of disgust. "Yes, be my mistress. Your stepdad and my father won't sell you off if you become my mistress," he said, his voice low and serious. "You must give yourself to me, body and soul." I stood shocked. I had never thought of being anyone's mistress, let alone this bastard. I felt sick at the thought of it. "No," I said, "I would rather die than be with you." "Is that really what you want?" his eyes boring into mine "Death over life? Over love?" "Love, my foot. Let go of me!" I struggled to get his tight grip off me. "Sighs. Don't say I didn't offer you help." Edward moved closer, pulling a small cloth from his pocket. I knew what he had in mind. I could smell the sweet, cloying scent of the gas, and I tried to pull away, but it was too late. He held my nose with the cloth. I could feel my eyelids growing heavy, and I immediately fell into a deep sleep. *** After several hours of deep sleep, I could feel my body string. My head was fuzzy, but I could hear the sound of a car moving. I tried to open my eyes, but they were still heavy with sleep. As I lay there, I could feel the motion of the car. I could still smell the familiar scent of the gas that Edward used on me. ‘Hold on, was Edward really going to make me his mistress?' This thought flashed through my mind and I immediately swam up. There's no way that was going to happen. I could only see the back of the driver's seat through the glass partition. I grabbed the door handle, but it wouldn't budge. I reached out to the other door, but it was locked. I pounded on the window, screaming for help. Hitting the glass as hard as I could but it was no use. The car kept moving, and I was trapped inside. I became calm and studied the car. I won't lie, the car looked luxurious. The seats were made of soft leather, and the dashboard was lined with polished wood. The car smelled of rich and expensive perfume. The symbol on the headrests was a simple but elegant design, a letter "W" with a crown above it. This symbol couldn't certainly belong to Edward. I had never seen anything like it before. 'Oh, damn. Alpha William!' I swear, I could feel my heart beat down my throat immediately reality struck me. My parents sold me to Alpha William. Mother betrayed me. My skin had goosebumps remembering everything I heard about Alpha William. Alpha William, the alpha of the Crest pack, was known as a cruel and merciless leader. He ruled with an iron fist, and he showed no mercy to anyone who dared to cross him. His subjects lived in fear, and they knew to never speak out against him. Even those closest to him, like his advisors and his guards, knew to never question his decisions. Anyone who stayed with him had to be prepared to do whatever he asked, no matter how cruel or unusual the request. How am I supposed to survive being a mate to such a horrible man? I couldn't help but feel angry at my mother for agreeing to the stupid man's decision. The car slowed to a stop, and I didn't know why, but my heart kept pounding. I held my breath as the doors unlocked. The driver's door opened, and I could hear footsteps approaching. The door to the back seat opened, and a tall, dark figure stood before me. I couldn't see his face due to the cap that covered his eyes. "Miss Elena" Two women emerged from the front door of the large house. The one that called out my name was dressed in an elegant modest dress, while the other was dressed in her black and white uniform. They took my luggage from the car and beckoned me to follow them. I hesitantly stepped out of the car and walked up the steps to the mansion. It was massive, with tall pillars and a grand staircase leading up to the front door. I could feel the wealth and power emanating from the building, and I felt quite small and insignificant in comparison. I stepped into the foyer of the mansion, and I couldn't help but feel like I had entered a whole new world. The walls were lined with expensive paintings, and the floor was covered in a thick, plush carpet. A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow throughout the room. The furniture was antique and expensive, and the whole place smelled of expensive perfume and fresh flowers. It was a world of luxury, unlike anything I had ever seen before. The mood in the mansion was surprisingly light, a shocking contrast to the stories about the ruthless Alpha Williams and his Crest Pack. The maids had smiles on their faces, chatting and laughing with each other as they worked, cleaning the halls. It was like a breath of fresh air, compared to the tense and fearful atmosphere I expected. "Ahem,” she cleared her throat, “Miss Elena of the Great Alpha William has arrived." As the maid announced my arrival, the others stopped what they were doing and formed a line along the hallway, standing with their heads bowed and their arms behind their backs. "Wait, are they bowing to me?" I asked the maid who stood beside me. She seemed to be the head maid. They were silent and still, creating a pathway for us to pass through. It was like a royal procession, I felt like a princess walking down the red carpet. The power and respect of the alpha’s name were evident in the way the maids behaved. I was down the hallway and up a grand staircase. They stopped at a door, and the maid opened it, revealing a large and luxurious bedroom. "My name is Julie and I am the head of the maids" She finally introduced herself. "And this is your room" The room was decorated with furniture and rich fabrics, and the bed was large and inviting. It was obvious that this was a room fit for a queen, and I felt a little out of place in such a grand setting. "If you need anything, ring the bell at your bedside, and either Amber.." Amber was the other side beside her, she curtsied. "Either Amber or the other maids will attend to you" They both curtsied as they left and then the fact that I was left alone in the room was drawn to me. Everything down to the dresses was feminine, I was staying in this big room all alone. I walked towards the window and discovered something crazy. My room was way up. "Ugh!!" There was no way I could escape through the window. I felt like a princess trapped in a tower, waiting for her prince to come and rescue her. Sadly, no one was coming to rescue me.
