Damian immediately put on a sad face, he lowered his head to grab his wife's fingers. "I'm sorry honey, I'm not a useful husband."
"What do you mean?" Lynne immediately shook her head, she returned her husband's big fingers. "How is that possible? My husband is the best in the world."
"I'm just a useless orphan. I can't even help my wife get what she wants." Damian took a deep breath, his face still looked so sad and frustrated. "I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault okay? I said something that made you sad, I'm so sorry," Lynne said, immediately moving to hug her husband's body. "Everything will be fine, like you always say."
Damian immediately returned the hug, this time his face looked really sad because he was forced to lie to his wife. However, this was all for his wife's good. "Yes, my wife is absolutely right."
"But Damian, where did you get the money to rent a car? Didn't you say you were still looking for a job lately?" Lynne asked. "Have you gotten it?"
"Yes," Damian replied with a small smile. "I was accepted at a startup company, the salary is quite good. I was accepted in the marketing division."
Hearing that, Lynne couldn't hold back her big smile. "You're amazing! Why didn't you say so earlier?"
"It was a surprise, it would be nice if we celebrated it together, right? After you get a job," Damian replied with a big smile.
Lynne nodded enthusiastically. "Sure, we can celebrate it tonight!"
"Hmm, how about drinking all night?" Damian teased.
Lynne pouted, she hit her husband's thigh lightly. "How could you think of that? Don't we have to start work tomorrow?"
The man chuckled, he nodded obediently. Their conversation was so simple but fun until when the car stopped at a traffic light, the car window was knocked on from outside making both of them turn their heads. It was the general manager and Sophie.
Lynne frowned, she lowered the car window and immediately asked, "What's wrong?"
Sophie immediately pulled the woman's fingers, kissed them while sobbing. "Lynne, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."
The general manager or former general manager also knelt on the sidewalk, crying while apologizing. "I was wrong, please help us, Miss Esperanza."
"Mrs. Scott," Lynne replied calmly. "And again, I actually don't like to hold grudges, but you forced me to betray my husband, that's really bad. So please let us have no more contact in the future."
Along with Lynne's answer, the traffic light turned green and the car started moving again. Immediately, the woman closed the window, ignoring Sophie and the former general manager who were wailing and begging for forgiveness with full of regret.
Lynne took a deep breath, she leaned her head on her husband's shoulder. "Am I too cruel?"
"No, my wife is the best." Damian replied.
Lynne smiled, feeling comforted by the short answer. She then looked at the driver. "Do you know the way to Esperanza's mansion? We'll go there. And by the way, do you have money to pay the driver?"
"Yes, he is an old acquaintance of mine. Didn't I tell you that I once founded a company that went bankrupt, he was my subordinate. Some of my other former subordinates also came to our wedding," Damian explained casually. "I still have some savings. Although I am having a little trouble paying off the debt for the losses incurred in the old company."
"Ah yes, you told me that." Lynne curved her lips down sadly. "Too bad we didn't know each other at that time, if only I was by your side."
"No, I don't want to bring you into a bad life. Even now I'm still so ashamed because I haven't been able to give the best life to my beautiful wife." The man said with a smile, he stroked his wife's hair gently.

Lynne and Damian entered Esperanza's mansion together. When they arrived in the living room, all the family members were gathered with one strange figure as the center of attention. But the face was a little familiar to Damian's eyes.
"Has Lynne returned?" Old Master Esperanza smiled. He glanced at the strange figure. "He is Ethan from the Sterling family. Your cousin Cedric asked him to come."
Lynne glanced at Cedric, the man who was one year older than her was Stevie's older brother. But the woman didn't care about Ethan and whoever it was so she just nodded. "I see," she replied politely.
The man named Ethan smiled, he moved closer to Lynne and stretched out his hand. "I'm Ethan Sterling. My father will soon be elevated to the position of head of the family replacing my grandfather. In the future, I will be the one to inherit the family."
Lynne hesitantly shook the man's hand. "Nice to meet you."
Cedric smiled broadly at that. "Lynne, isn't Mr. Ethan a good man? I really hope you will marry him."
Hearing that, Lynne immediately frowned angrily, but not wanting to make a scene, the woman immediately moved towards Old Master Esperanza. "Grandpa, I have got the contract, the Head of Imperial Sage Group has agreed to hand over the project contract to me."
Hearing that, Old Master Esperanza's smile immediately bloomed, he accepted the file from his granddaughter's hand with a blooming heart. "Look! Our Lynne has succeeded!"
"You are very amazing Miss Esperanza." Ethan smiled, he moved closer to Lynne again. "It would be great if you were willing to marry me."
"What? Are you out of your mind?" Lynne immediately snorted. "I have no interest in marrying you."
"This girl is so arrogant!" Ethan shouted angrily. "Just look, do you think that after having a contract with the Imperial Sage Group, you can act as you please?"
Lynne did not reply, she just moved away from the man.
Seeing Lynne's movements, Ethan became even angrier. The man shouted again loudly, "If you still refuse to marry me, I will call the Chairman of the Imperial Sage Group to cancel the contract so that you will regret your arrogant actions!"
"Young Master Sterling." Finally, Damian spoke up. The man finally understood why he was so familiar with Ethan's face. In fact, the man was the nephew of his stepmother, Madame Teresa. No wonder both in terms of face and attitude, the two were very similar. "Why don't you mourn your grandfather's death and instead come to Esperanza's mansion to steal someone else's wife? Are you sure your grandfather in hell won't be angry to death for the second time?"
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Ethan raised his voice again. The man's face was now bright red with several veins protruding around the man's face. "You useless man! Watch out, I'll cut off both of your hands as compensation for offending Young Master Sterling!"
Damian smirked, he looked at Ethan with mocking eyes which only made the man even more furious.
At that moment, Cedric shouted with his cell phone in his hand. "The news of Lynne being received by the chairman of the Imperial Sage Group has become a trending topic! It's already the headlines right now!"
